Posso Muitas Das Vezes No Ouvir A Tua Voz... Posso No Sentir A Tua Presena A Cada Encontro, Mas Sei Em

Posso muitas das vezes não ouvir a Tua voz... Posso não sentir a Tua presença a cada encontro, mas sei em Quem acredito. Sei Quem eu vi, sei Quem eu espero, sei Quem me amas e me perdoa.

We Are Not Called Merely To Follow God In Secrecy, But To Share The Good News Of Salvation To Our Brothers

We are not called merely to follow God in secrecy, but to share the Good News of Salvation to our brothers and sisters.  We are commissioned to minister in charity to our family, our friends, our neighborhoods, our nation, and to every nation.

A life apart from God is a life of darkness, bleak and often miserable.  These images are not meant to merely to make you feel good or inspired, but meant to make you take faith, to take heart, and to take action.

Let us go forth, helping our Lord, the Light, to dispel the shadow of darkness and death that has fallen over humanity.  Let us share his most precious gift of Peace and Forgiveness with every man, woman, and child until he comes to reign in Glory.  God bless you all

On Sanity

Chesterton has already pointed this out, but I was struck anew today after talking with a robin and feeling wind in my hair, that it was the irrational, not the rational, that makes us sane.

To love, to befriend, to laugh, to think philosophically, to write, to play, to dream. Poetry, music, dancing, nature. As I watched the sunset and whistled, feeling more sane than I ever had in my weeks of studying for exams, I remembered it is the neglect of these that leads to madness. For it is not the dancers and florists who go mad, but mathematicians and chess grandmasters.

Aquinas says that the nature of a human is to be a rational animal. He said that, of course, to distinguish us from animals. Unlike them we have the power to reason, and it is a terrible power and beautiful responsibility. But even Aquinas from his ivory tower doesn't dare eliminate the animal inside us.

There is something deep in the bones of our nature quite apart from rationality. We are animals still, and we must love that. The primal, the guttural, the free and the wild. This too makes us human.

Today I went to my old school to help on a evangelism project that I used to be a part of back then. They invite me every Friday to play the guitar at the worship moment.

The preaching today was about revival and it was a message from God straight to me. I'm cold spiritually these days and struggling a lot to get back on the tracks.

There is one phrase that was said that got stuck in my head: "seek Him until nothing else matters". This one phrase gave me what I needed to start two projects with myself that I've been planning for a while.

They are "No Bible, no food Project" and "The Daniel Project". Basically, I will do my devotional every day before having breakfast in the morning and will save three moments during the day just for prayer, just like Daniel.

I'm not good with new habits, so this post is like a commitment document to help me to actually stick to the projects. The plan is to come here everyday to say how it went and come in a week to say the results. Pray for me!
