Poem: Who I Am

I stopped feeling sad at some point;

I don’t know when or why,

But probably something to do with

Letting go and making plans

That let me focus on being me,

Dancing without feeling silly,

Writing without feeling whiny,

Living without feeling guilty

Of not living my truth.

No need for imposter syndrome,

Or being trapped by what I’m not;

I’m living just because I can,

And this is who I am.
