i think the point trying to be made is that you cannot say hateful things about a character based on real world things and not expect that REAL people with similar views and standings as that character to be peeved. I can hate raine whispers all I want, no one should care and they do not care. Once I make it about them being nonbinary, thats where the line is. It is not what you say about the character but rather what they stand for.

I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:
Fictional characters are objects.
They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.

A thought due to recent developments (The new Tommyinnit video and DSMP renaissance on twitter as a whole)
The thought came to mind to rewrite the dsmp with a structured and if you will unproblematic plot. Think of it as making these characters more characters rather than extensions of the content creators.
The community is what made the smp what it is, so I didn’t want it to be just me talking to a brick wall and banging my head against it. I know many people are still interested in it, and I’d like to join in this fandom, since it still means alot to me.. Not the ones that support certain people, just the silly ones!!
