summary: after you discovered a deli full of alternate versions of your cheating husband, you realize they would never hurt you the way he did. once he finds you getting comfortable with another version of him, you'll have to work together to figure out how to save the world.

authors note: thank you so much for all the notes on part one! i appreciate it so much since i thought no one would ever see it. here's the highly requested part two, enjoy!

 - . 2

You could tell it was him right away. Your Five had burst into the deli like he was crashing a wedding. When you walked in, every Five had a look of awe displayed across his face, but now that look was replaced with anger and disappointment.

You could tell Five had shrunk a bit under the gaze of his counterparts yet he firmly walked over to the booth where you were sitting with the new Five that you had been talking to. He had a shameful look in his eye yet held a stoic visage. Glancing down at your gentle hands still firmly held in the palms of the other Five, his eyebrows furrowed as he looked between the two of you.

“What- what is this?” He scoffed in an annoyed manner, like he couldn’t believe what he was seeing yet somehow he knew exactly what was happening.

The Five across from you gently released your hands as his eye twitched and he stood up and faced your Five. Even though they were both exactly the same height, you could tell they were challenging each other by standing up a little straighter, your Five standing slightly on his toes.

New Five had an angry clench in his jaw yet held a slight smirk. He addressed your Five in a low tone, “You must be a fluke if you think you can just apologize and win her back because there’s not a single Five in this room that would hurt her the way you did.”

You looked up at the two of them from your seat in the booth. You hadn’t mentioned how your Five had hurt you, what he’d done to lose you. How could this Five have known? Still however, you appreciated his defense. You had always thought it’d be pathetic to see two guys fight over you, but to see two versions of the same man, one who has hurt and wronged you and the other who holds an unconditional and undying love for you, it ignited a spark in you that you thought you’d never feel again in your existence.

Existence.

Once the new Five finished his sentence you could see the offense on your Five’s face as he prepared a rebuttal but you shut that down quickly.

“Enough,” you held a hand out as if to break the aggressive tension between them, “this is irrelevant. We need to discuss a plan.”

Your Five took this as an opportunity to occupy the seat next to you in the booth but new Five beat him to it by pulling him back by the arm and sliding in next to you, as well as placing a hand on your thigh.

Your Five was taken aback by the action yet quickly regained his composure as he settled into the seat across from the two of you.

Waiter Five stopped by once again to drop off another mug of coffee for your Five as well as to top of your mug and Five’s. You thanked him and took a sip as he waltzed away with a wink. You watched as your Five took a sip from his mug which he immediately spit back out. The deli of Fives erupted in laughter as both you and your Five looked around confused.

The Five sitting next to you whispered an explanation in your ear, stating that Waiter Five had poured a couple of salt packets into his coffee rather than sugar. You grinned and hid your laugh in the shoulder of the Five next to you, him still facing you, your foreheads nearly touching. Your Five watched with a heartache as he dabbed his mouth with a napkin and set it back down on the table.

The laughter had mostly died down, excluding a very sloshed and disheveled looking Five who continued to chuckle and hiccup while leaning against a door.

You were still leaning slightly onto the Five next to you as he spoke, “So I take it you figured out the subway system by now”

“Alternate versions of the same moment in time?” Five asked.

“Correct,” the other Five responded, “We’re all you from alternate timelines. Most of us here have given up on trying to fix the broken timeline.”

Your Five listened with a befuddled look on his face and before he could question the words of the Five before him, you piped up an explanation, “It’s us who shattered the original timeline.”

“Thank you, dear,” said the Five next to you as he brought an arm around your shoulder. You couldn’t tell if he was being this affectionate because he really missed his y/n or because he could see how badly it was ticking your Five off but either way you wanted to play along, leaning into his affection.

He broke your gentle eye contact to once again address the Five glaring at you both.

“The timeline was shattered the moment we came into existence, leaving us with an infinite number of alternate timelines in an infinite loop of trying to save the world,” he said in a tired voice.

You took a moment to really look at him, he looked so exhausted.

So did your timeline’s Five.

So did Drunk Five, Waiter Five, and Brisket Five.

Sure they looked content in the deli, as it was their place to escape, but the tired looks in their eyes really showed how hard they had tried and how worn out it made them.

You didn’t realize it but you were staring so deeply into the eyes of your timeline’s Five. With such a soft look he thought would never come his way again. You felt sorry for him. You really did but there is nothing that could excuse everything he did. Nothing could excuse the betrayal and heartbreak he caused you. That was his fault and he would have to deal with every ounce of guilt and shame that accompanied him in his downfall.

His eyes met yours, the green shining with sorrow as he attempted to convey all his feelings through his irises. You both knew your relationship would never be the same, even if you survived the Cleanse. There was just too much that couldn’t be undone.

You broke the connection first, turning away to look at the tiled floor of the deli instead.

Your Five continued to look at you.

Your eyes. Your hair.

He never could’ve loved Lila like he loved you, how could he have thrown you away so easily?

His love for you was what kept his fire burning all these years. His love for you ignited his passion for saving the world,  just so you could live safely.

Just so you could live without surviving on cockroaches or the roof of a crumbling library.

Just so you could live without having to kill in fear of being killed.

Just so you could live a happy and comfortable life, even if it no longer meant a life with him.

You clenched your jaw in thought before turning to the Five next to you, “What can we do? I mean, there has to be a way out of this.”

He looked at you with an answer he was sure you wouldn’t like, “The only way this cycle will end is if you cease to exist. You have to let the marigold combine with the durango in the Cleanse.”

You raised a brow, “Just the marigold?”

Five looked at you confused, “Yes, the marigold infected our mothers the moment the timeline was shattered.”

“So it’s not actually us that’s the problem?” You waved your finger in a circle, gesturing to yourself, Five, and his absent siblings.

“Technically not,” Five confirmed.

You leaned back into the seat as Five returned his arm to his side. You bit your lip as you tried to remember anything that might help you come up with a plan, then it hit you.

Viktor.

You remember how he told everyone that when he lived on the farm back in Dallas, he saved Harlan, the little boy who drowned in the lake, by giving him some of his marigold.

You also remembered that he was able to take away the marigold in the barn, and whatever was left back at Hotel Obsidian.

You lifted your head, your eyes bright as the idea swirled in your mind.

You brought your hands onto the table, finding that you explain best with random hand motions, “What about Viktor, he could absorb our marigolds and transfer out his own into the Cleanse. That way the marigold and durango meet but we won’t have to die, we just won’t have our powers again.”

Both Fives were silent for a moment as they contemplated your plan. The Five next to you was the first to react by holding your face in his palms and planting a kiss between your brows. “Darling,” he admired, “You’re an absolute genius.”

Your timeline’s Five frowned in disagreement and jealousy, “What about Ben? If we combine our marigold with the Cleanse then he’ll die in there.”

“That Ben was an asshole anyway,” you shrugged, honestly not caring since he was the reason you were in this dilemma in the first place.

He hummed in agreement, not able to argue with you on that. He stood up and so did the other Five so he could let you out of the booth.

Your Five didn’t want to hang around for goodbyes, you had come up with a plan and that was that. He grabbed your arm and tugged you towards the door. The other Five quickly grabbed your other arm to hold you in place.

“Once this is all over, don’t go back to him. There are plenty of Fives here who will treat you so much better,” he winked at you as cheers of agreement ensued across the deli.

A blush came across your face as you looked around at the hopeful smiles of every Five in the room.

Maybe you didn’t have to stop loving Five.

You just had to let go of one.

You slightly nodded and winked back at Five as he let go of your arm, letting your Five tug you back towards the subway with an upset stomp. Looking back with a little wave, you walked out as Drunk Five yelled, “Auf wiedersehen!”

Whispers

Warning: Contains: alcohol, blood, killing, fighting

A hidden motive

Date: 24th of March, 2019

Time: ???

Location: Hargreeves mansion

"Oh my god. We're going to jail." A panicked voice spoke. "We're accomplices."

"No, we're not."

"Yeah, we're not. You are."

"Why don't you save all your whining and shut up for once?"

"Five, I swear to god I will-"

"Hey, shhhhh! I think she's moving." Someone else hushed. "Good morning~"

A pained groan escaped my lips as a sharp pain shot through my body. Slowly, my eyes started to flutter open, wincing at the sudden light being shone in my face. My eyes started to readjust and vision cleared.

I noticed I was in a dimly lit room, a kitchen to be more specific, with a table opposite me which held a total of 6 people who were staring right at me, most of their gazes either sceptical or confused.

"What the..?" As I tried to move, I felt something restricting me from doing so. I furrowed my brows and looked down to see my body duct taped to a wooden chair.

I thrashed my limbs around in the very limited amount of space available to me, the chair legs screeching against the floor.

"It's pointless, y'know." I stopped momentarily, immediately recognising his voice. That same voice that I was forced to grow accustomed to hearing over the span of 3 years. I looked up.

A young boy, 16 years old or so, who was wearing a navy blue school uniform with shorts, was watching me with an annoyingly familiar pair of green eyes.

That's when a dawning realisation came over me. If Five time travelled to 2019, taking me with him and is now aged down 22 years, then that must mean...

My eyes made contact with a small mirror placed on the other side of the kitchen, making my eyes widen in pure shock and lips part in disbelief. I was now 15 years old. My cheeks were chubbier and my features softer, betraying the dangerous reputation I had built for myself after all these years.

I already missed the striking sharpness of my jawline.

I looked down at my clothes that were now too large for my teenage body to host. My white blouse now stretched past my finger tips and black trousers hanged loosely from my legs.

Every little detail suddenly came flooding back.

Fuck. Everything’s ruined. It was all going to plan until this... man child came along. I tried to resist the urge of screaming, screaming until I lost my voice completely. But he was nowhere near worth it so I settled for the next best idea.

"You little pubescent schoolboy looking piece of shit! You drugged me, kidnapped me, and aged me down 20 years!" I barked, my voice dripping with anger.

"Wait, you're 35?"

I averted my glare to who I assumed to be one of Five’s brothers. He had blond hair and a body that resembled one of a gorilla.

Luther Hargreeves.

"So the gorilla can count."

Another brother wearing all leather and playing with a knife in his hand, let out a snort then quickly played it off as him clearing his throat. I didn't miss the brief flash of a smirk on his lips.

Diego Hargreeves.

Five blinked in front of me, brushing his fingers through his hair. "Now that you're up," He said, looking down at my restrained figure. "you can agree to my proposal."

"What makes you think I will?"

The boy leaned down, his face on level with mine. He grinned. "Because you don't have a fucking choice--"

I threw my head back, and slammed it against his face.

I watched in glee as the boy stumbled back, blood dripping down his face and onto the ground. He pinched his nose tightly and spat blood out of his now bleeding gums.

Oh, how much I adored watching Five squirm in pain.

One of Five's sisters with pale skin and brown hair tied into a ponytail, ran towards him with a paper towel, only for him to raise his free hand motioning for her to stop.

Vanya Hargreeves.

“Maybe that’ll help you think a little better.” I smirked.

Another sibling, a brother seated on top of the table wearing a skirt, let out a gasp as he watched the scene unfold with a curious gleam in his eyes. “Why don’t you let her out and treat her like a human being so she won’t be so violent.” He suggested.

Klaus Hargreeves.

I raised an eyebrow at his point.

“Klaus she’s clearly dangerous.” A tall woman wearing an off the shoulder black dress interjected.

Allison Hargreeves.

“Exactly!” He declared. The Hargreeves then faced his teenage brother and said, “You want to get her on your side, treat her like it.”

“Klaus, you don’t know her like I do.” Five replied, gritting his teeth. I responded with an obnoxious grin.

“Oh come on Five. It’s not like I’ll do anything other than kill you.”

“You know what?” The boy faced his siblings, “All of you out. Now.”

Doing the opposite of what he said, they stayed in their positions, their curiosity only growing further. However, even though they did so reluctantly, the Hargreeves finally gave in to their brothers commands and left the room.

The two assassins were left alone once again, the tension impossibly thick.

"You think you're so tough." The boy drawled. He leaned in towards me once again, curling his fingers around each of the taped arm rests of the chair.

“I don’t think. I know.”

He scoffed and cocked his head to the side.

"Now let me give you a taste of the situation we're in. Two teenagers, a 15 and 16 year old, are going to be hunted down mercilessly by the Commission. They will most likely send a total of 10 assassins to try capture us with heavy weapons at their aid while all we have are a few knives, and my power to teleport."

I scoffed, the corners of my lips twitching in annoyance. “Don’t you dare mansplain to me the things I already know. You think I haven’t realised what type of situation you’ve forced me into?” I seethed between my teeth. He had taken everything from me. Robbed me of the hope to see him again. But I couldn't lose my temper, not yet anyways. “There is no us and I haven’t got the slightest interest or leverage in saving your dysfunctional family from their dooms and, not to mention, stopping the apocalypse.”

“So why don’t you let me go and I’ll pinkie swear that I won’t come after you and your weird family, okay?”

A tense silence surrounded us making me aware of how close Five was. His face was mere inches from mine, causing a wave of discomfort to shower over me. Did he not know what personal space was, or was this a sad tactic to intimidate me?

“Let’s say I did let you leave. And in return, I failed to stop the apocalypse. You would be killed in an instant just like the rest of the population. I am offering you freedom, y/n. Something they could never give you. Work with me to stop the apocalypse and I’ll be out of your hair for the rest of your miserable life.”

Five scanned my face, his eyes then finally pausing at mine. After a moment of doing nothing but staring at each other, trying to decipher the others thoughts, a small vent to the right of the kitchens entrance got caught in my line of sight. More specifically, a familiar cylinder container trapped inside said vent.

The Commission.

I bit back a short crazed laugh and quickly painted a fake look of defeat on my features, before saying rather sarcastically, “Fine, I agree to whatever catastrophic plan you’ll lead to stop the apocalypse. But once it’s done, we’re done.”

Five looked at me and I could tell he was confused from my sudden change of heart. But did he really have the time and luxury of questioning my intentions?

No, not at all.

“Good,” His features relaxed slightly as he attempted to hide his relief from his tone of voice.

“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

————

I threw my head back, chugging down the last remains of my drink in hand before placing it back down against the tables surface.

The sudden burn in my mouth made me grimace slightly, but didn't stop me from pouring another glass of clear liquor. I was currently sitting in the common area of the mansion, by the long island table which held a glorious collection of different alcoholic drinks, whilst the others were out back attending the funeral of their oh so beloved father.

I read the letter I was sent through the vents, nibbling down on my bottom lip each time. God, couldn't The Handler be more irritating. I knew it was intentional, a way of showing who was in power- who held all the cards. I read through the letter once more and scoffed, slightly amused by the fake surname The Handler used to address me with.

Y/n Mallory, aka the Bloodhound,

First of all, kudos to your recent escape with Five Hargreeves to the year 2019. This is only the second time in the Commissions long history that agents have successfully escaped the Temps Commission without means of casualties and being captured within the first hour. However, I doubt this burst of success will be long lived as it is just that- a burst. Although reports say you were just as much involved in the jump to 2019 as Five, I doubt that's the case when our deal that you've been working on for years is just moments away from a close. Somebody as smart as you wouldn't dare jeopardise this once in a life time opportunity, so I have no other choice but to assume you jumped against your will. If this is indeed the case, which I am sure it is, you are to meet me alone at this address [address] in a maximum of two hours. Failure to do so will result in our agreement rendering null, and several run-ins with the Commissions best field agents.

May the most deadly come out victorious.

The Handler

Temps Commission

“May the most deadly come out victorious.” I murmured back under my breath. I scoffed and downed the next shot, slamming it back down on the table. “Don’t worry, I will.”

Folding the letter and placing it in the pocket of my oversized trousers, I let out a sigh and brushed my fingers through the mess of my hair. I suddenly felt myself itch for another shot of liquor and poured a shot glass to the brim and drank.

Dragging my tongue along my lips, I leaned my chin against my palm, feeling the faint affects of the alcohol working its magic. I couldn't help but let myself slip into the many thoughts lurking at the front of my mind.

I had to find a way to slip away unnoticed from a certain Hargreeves and meet with The Handler, which I know was going to be easier said than done. The boy was already watching me as if I was going to stab him in the back at any moment. And I was, but he didn’t need to know that.

My ears perked at the sounds of distant shouts and groans, most likely the siblings fighting about god knows what and footsteps approaching me.

A high pitched screech sounded as a stool beside mine was moved and sat on, followed by a voice asking, "Aren't you too young to drink?"

I looked to my side and watched as Klaus downed one of the shots that sat idly before me in one slick motion.

"I'm older than you."

"Ah, yes. The 35 year old in a 15 year old body. How do you know little number Five?"

I raised a brow and faced the man. "Are we playing 21 questions now?"

"If that means you'll answer the many questions I have on you and Five's obvious romantic relationship, then yes."

I choked on the spit in my mouth, my face warming up from pure embarrassment. How on earth could someone make such an assumption with this much confidence?

I shook my head and denied. "There is no relationship of any kind between me and that dwarf of a man. He repulses me."

"Oh really, now?" The look on the Hargreeves face didn't waver at all from its mischievous stance, instead it only grew as if he knew something I didn't.

"Think of us as two magnets of the same charge. We repel each other. Not attract. Never attract."

Klaus hummed in fake acknowledgement and grabbed a large bottle of what looked to be Gin, hugging it close to his body.

"It was nice talking to you..."

"Y/n." I spoke. More like the alcohol spoke.

"Y/n." He repeated, a soft smile on his lips. "I'll see you later, or maybe I won't. Who knows..."

Klaus trailed off and walked away, most likely going to attempt to drink the whole bottle in one go. I shook my head, both annoyed and entertained by the man.

After a few moments of pondering on what my next move should be, a WHOOSH echoed next to me, followed by a hand harshly gripping my wrist to prevent me from bringing another shot to my lips.

"Are you drinking?" A voice called beside me, a little too close to my liking.

I rolled my eyes. I didn't know whether it was the liquor, but Five's voice had gotten 10x more annoying since our previous encounter. "Take a guess, genius."

Five glared at my slightly tipsy figure. He grabbed my jaw and twisted my head to meet his gaze. He examined my features, just as he did when I was stuck in that pitiful excuse of a trap. I swatted his hand away.

He then snatched the glass from my grip and threw his head back, letting the alcohol run down his throat.

"Get up. We're leaving."

"Where?"

"To get a decent cup of coffee."

"Oh, thank god."

____

"I thought you said we were going to get coffee." My forehead creased as I furrowed my brows, looking up at a large fluorescent sign that read 'Griddys Doughnuts'.

"You think I’d lie about that?"

Upon entering the store, I noticed how empty and run down the place had become. Stains which looked dangerously close to blood were plastered onto the walls, and dust clouded the air almost making me sneeze.

Unlike my quick criticism, Five acknowledged the place with a hint of nostalgia in his gaze. We made our way towards a long table opposite the limited selections of doughnuts that were being showcased, and menus hung up high on display.

I took a seat on one of the stools beside the boy. He rang the bell eagerly, a look of impatience on his face. I let out a sigh and craned my neck, looking for the worker that was nowhere to be seen.

A man then entered, sitting on a stool that was on Five's left.

"Sorry sink was clogged." A woman in her early 50s said, rather out of breath. She was wearing a pink uniform and had her blonde hair tied into a bun.

She held a note pad in hand and asked, "So what'll it be?"

As I was about to open my mouth and ask for their strongest coffee, the balding man quickly cut in.

"Uh, give me a chocolate ĂŠclair."

"Mm-hmm, sure."

"Can I get the kid and his girlfriend a glass of milk or something?"

"He's not my boyfriend." "She's not my girlfriend." We both snapped in unison, giving the woman a hostile glare. Five and I then faced each other, disgust present on both of our faces.

This was the second time someone had mistaken our 'relationship' for something more than a forced acquaintance. And each time, I felt like I wanted to vomit and stab both myself and the person who brought the absurd notion forth.

He scoffed and let a fake smile curl threateningly at his lips. "The kid wants coffee, black."

"Make it two." I added, tapping my finger against the table impatiently.

The waitress looked at us as if we were speaking an entirely different language, before facing the man.

"Cute kids."

Expecting a laugh or a simple 'thanks', the man only looked back at the woman, confusion present on his features, further contributing to the already awkward atmosphere.

At last the waitress left to prepare our orders.

"So," I lowered my voice. "What's the plan?

"We'll discus that in due time." He replied.

"Didn't you just tell me that we had no time-?"

"Don't remember this place being such a shithole." Five turned his back to me, speaking to the stranger. "I used to come here as a kid. Used to sneak out with my brothers and sisters and eat doughnuts 'till we puked. Simpler times."

I rubbed my forehead in frustration and bounced my leg under the table. I can't lose this deal. I can't lose him. He's the only one that kept me sane. The only on that kept me from losing myself to the words of poison and complete darkness that awaited me with a bloodcurdling desire. I couldn't prove them right.

More importantly, I couldn't prove her right.

Like Five, I'd do anything to reunite with those that hold a special place in my heart.

I looked up at the large antique clock placed on the mustered yellow wall. 30 minutes had passed and here I was, in a dump of a bakery waiting for a cup of watery coffee to arrive.

Five continued to converse with the man as if they were close in age, until the woman came with our orders, placing a mug of coffee in front of me. I took a sip, letting the bitter liquid burn the tip of my tongue.

I looked behind me. It was getting dark, fast. The Handler wasn't well known for waiting around and having a large sum of patience. She might as well send a task force to come for us now, especially with the...

The trackers.

A ring of the bell echoed through the room, making me spin my head to see if my instincts was right. I relaxed as my eyes set on the balding man leaving the store, leaving Five and I alone.

But when has leaving the two of us alone ever gone to plan?

"They're coming. I can feel it." I took a long sip of coffee and watched Five process my words.

"What makes you think that?"

I pointed to the skin of my right arm and gave Five a knowing look. Confirming my theory, the bell of the door rang once more and a squad of Commission field agents poured in, one by one, firearms raised and surrounding us both.

There were 9 of them.

"Huh," The boy hummed. "I thought we'd have more time before they found us."

"Not surprising that you're wrong."

A barrel of a gun was pressed against the back of my head, almost making me laugh. "Okay. So let's all be professional about this, yeah?"

Five and I made eye contact. Even though it was brief, it was enough for us to establish what was going to occur next. As much as I hate to admit, we made a pretty good team.

"Both of you, on your feet and come with us. They want to talk."

"We've got nothing to say." He replied.

"It doesn't have to go this way." The man proceeded. "You think I want to shoot some kids? Go home with that on my conscience?"

"Well, I wouldn't worry about that." I spoke, a grin etched onto my lips.

At the corner of my eye, I saw Five's fingers slowly inch closer to a knife next to him. I wrapped my fingers around the handle of my mug.

"You won't be going home."

Five blinked behind the nearest man, stabbing him in the neck, followed by the gun going off and shooting his nearest partner. I ran up towards another hitman, slamming the mug in his face, it shattering completely. Using the biggest shard, I stabbed his eye, blood spewing out onto my face and snapped his neck.

6 hitmen remaining.

Five grabbed me, blinking me to sit on the counter as he made himself comfortable, laying on top of a table.

"Hey assholes!"

The second they heard his voice, a hail of bullets were shot towards his figure, only for him to blink once more. That's when their concentration was averted to me.

"Shit-" I threw myself behind the counter and found a large cake knife hiding in plain sight. I gripped the rubber handle tightly and once they finished shooting- spending most of their ammo- I jumped over the table, slicing though one of their necks. Just in time, I grabbed the fresh corpses gun, and knocked down a table, shielding myself from the storm of bullets.

I shot two of them in the head, and only wounded the other in the shoulder.

3 hitmen remaining.

The shooting came to an abrupt shot. A faint knocking sound caught the gunmen's attention, including mine, only to see a very cocky Five standing outside, grinning.

He brought his hand to his head, doing a mock salute and blinked before he could get shot.

I shot once more with the gun, only for a faint clicking sound to be the only thing emitted from its barrel. It was out of bullets.

I took the knife in hand once more, and moved from my hidden position. Before one of them could shoot, I kicked his gun out of his hands and stabbed him twice in the kidney.

Five snapped a mop in half and plunged the newly sharp end into someone else's side and used his tie to strangle him. He then used a pencil to stab the last ones crotch then removed it, stabbing his eye.

0 hitmen remaining.

Five removed his tie from the dead body and wrapped it back around his neck. I looked around, spectating the bloodbath we had just created. I brushed my slightly bloodstained hands along my hair, blowing a few loose strands out of the way.

Spotting one of the hitmen still breathing, I leisurely walked towards him as he attempted to drag his injured figure away. I leaned down and swiftly broke his neck, silencing him for eternity.

"That went well." Five panted, catching his breath.

"Yeah, the part where you left me in the middle of the room for dead was really well thought out, asshole."

"You're alive and well, aren't you? Or was that too much for you to handle?" The boy taunted, obviously pushing my buttons. I glared at him and leaned against a table, using a clean knife to cut through my skin, and eventually dug my fingers into the wound to search for the tracker. I bit down harshly on my lip to try concentrate on something other than the excruciating pain in my arm. Finally, my fingers made contact with the chip and I pulled it out.

I ripped off both of my sleeves with the knife and tied them tightly around the wound.

We both walked out of the bakery and threw the both tracking devices in a puddle, looking around the area for anybody that might be either following or merely watching us. I stopped in the middle of the street once I caught sight of a familiar address.

"What are you doing?"

I looked at Five, then to a pharmaceutical store nearby, and back.

“Going to steal some supplies.” As I turned my back to the boy, he appeared in front of me.

“We don’t need them.” He countered, suspicion clouding his judgement. “My sister has plenty of first aid.”

“Are you doubting me, Five? Because if this partnership is going to work, I’m gonna need you to trust me.”

Checkmate.

Five kissed his teeth at my request and scoffed. “3 minutes. Any longer and-"

"Save your threats for later, short stuff." Ignoring the boys face flushing red and eyes widening in what seemed to be rage, I rushed inside the store, immediately earning unwelcome attention from all of the customers and staff. I mean, with the blood smeared on my face and the sleeves of my blouse ripped, what did I expect?

I spotted a back door which led to a secluded alleyway that was used for storage, and snuck out of the store.

I stepped out and sighed a long aggravated sigh once I noticed a familiar woman with short white hair, wearing an eccentric polka dot dress and glossy red heels.

She took out a pocket watch and flicked the case open for a second, before letting it snap shut. “You’re quicker than I thought you'd be.” She hummed. "The task force wasn't too much of a challenge I see."

"Enough with the chit-chat. What do you want?"

"I've always admired that about you, y/n. So eager to get the job done. Just like the little bloodhound you are."

I stiffened at the name, whispers both familiar and new, screaming at me with the same suffocating intent as all those years ago.

"Don't call me that." I swallowed thickly. However, The Handler only smiled and narrowed her eyes in cruelty.

"Down to business then." The woman chimed. "In exchange for our deal to procced as it always has, I want you to work for me as a... double agent of sorts. You keep me up to date with Five's progress of stopping the apocalypse and you will finally receive what you so rightfully deserve."

I looked up at the woman and accepted her terms of conditions. The Handler grinned before clapping loudly and exclaiming, "Perfect!"

"We finally get to see the extents you'll travel just to keep darling Jasper safe."

"What a spectacularly destructive performance that'll be."

Holy shit..,

Okay, I have an idea for Five Hargreeves and some character, an OC or Y/N, I don’t really care which. Or y/c, that still works (your/character)

We all know Dove Cameron’s Boyfriend, right? But have you heard this cover of it? This brought me to a beautiful idea… for anyone who wants it. I meant it as a getting together story, but it could lead the smut. I only want to be tagged if you use it.

First time to the Commission, Five goes on his missions. Our girl, girl because of the song, here is the renowned spy of the organization. I like to head canon that she has powers is how she got in, yada she doesn’t use them often yada yada. The two know each other decently, despite being from different departments. She gives him coffee with some slang she got from her work. He gets to talk about math, his family, while learning about all about the years through the other.

Five is set on a mostly spy mission, undercover is vital for such scene. He’s paired up with this snobby guy, who can’t seem to get his shit together. When main girl gets wind, she walks over, talks to him, “Work hubby, you seem, oh so upset?” She just came back from a “week” months long quest, shown through her modern wording. Five informs her that he needs to “show chemistry” with the new agent, having to be forced spend time with him in order to get the mission done and leave without a trace.

Some time passes, y/c is noticeably pissed. This man is taking her best work friend away from her and he isn’t even enjoying it! She sighs, pulls herself out of her chair. She walks down the hall to the wing of the new “couple.” Grabbing Five’s hand, she pulls him into the hallway, being followed by the rando. “If you don’t leave us alone, I’m kicking your ass.” She threatens with smile. Her entire demeanor is stiff, her smile seeming real, this is her job after all. She seemed to be joking, but the trained eye knows she wasn’t. The spy books it out of there.

Then, the song basically starts. Pushing him against the wall, not as gently as she hoped. “I can be a better boyfriend than him!” She goes on to explain herself, her walls dropping as soon as the man was out of earshot. Five ended up, cutting her speech short with his lips.

The Hustler claps her hands, planning this all along. “Finally!” She goes on to tell the two that the mission was, as it turns out, meant for the two. “You’re going to the past! Of course, you can’t have a gay couple.”

Y/C, after spending so much time with Five, mutters, “Do you have a knife I can borrow for like 7 seconds?” Five smiles as he shakes his head, from the comment and the lingering feel of her lips, the thought of the fact that he just kissed her, she kissed back, she’s still pining him to the wall, etc.
