I tried some new things in my design classes.
OAS Awareness
I feel like more people should be aware of oral allergy syndrome (OAS).
Imagine regular allergies, which is an allergy to birch, oak, and/or grass pollen. I am the unlucky lass to be allergic to all three. On top of this, sometimes the human body "glitches" even further to where it sees the enzymes in raw fruit or veggies the same way it sees pollen.
So, what does this mean for us OAS sufferers? Basically, if we eat raw fruit or veggies, we die.

But actually, though, the body immediately attacks it by literally closing up your throat. It doesn't kill us, - there are a few people who do suffer from anaphylactic shock, though - but it makes it practically impossible to eat raw fruit or veggies.
But Lorelei, you keep mentioning raw, what does it mean?

We can't eat the stuff raw, but when it's cooked, the enzymes that look like the enzymes in the pollens break up in the heat; we're able to eat them that way!
