why the shit did the bbc article only say that Sarah Everard was murdered by police officer Wayne Couzens in a single paragraph at the end of the article. the article says the bojo was showing solidarity by lighting a candle but he could remove the police officers from the peaceful, candle lit vigil held because of police brutality but he didn't. however the bbc didn't bother to make there readers think about police reform because they are state propaganda. fuck the police. fuck the tories. fuck the bbc
If there's one thing that has been embedded into my brain so many times that iv lost count it would have to be how stupid the conservative party are not that that wasn't already apparent with everything they've done over the past 16 years tearing this country and it's people to shreds. Not only are they completely ignoring most of the nations struggle to live, a huge drug epidemic, the slow collapse of our national health service, racially driven attacks, the rise in domestic violence, and now he's discriminating against 0.5% of the FUCKING UK's population because these amazing brave and beautiful people are expressing who they should have always been and who they are, this was only just last tuesday and it has caused an increase on homophobic and transphobic hate crimes in the uk. Please I am beging you to any British citizens 18 and over it's now your time to change this whilst it's going to be hard cleaning up this monstrous state this once proud nation was far from over 16 years ago please DO NOT vote for the conservative party on future elections.

I found myself actually pitying Rishi Sunak. He's about to take the single biggest shoeing in the history of this country.
Then I remember he's just going to move to America with his billionaire wife and become a tech bro douchebag who'll probably invest in something like a lanyard that doubles as a shock collar for Target employees who haven't taken over 2,000 steps per hour
Learning about the systemic oppression of those around you in the world we live in will never be comfortable - because the experience itself isn't.
I'm thinking of this as we see the continuous dehumanization of Arab people in the media , and the constant stream of those who say they will not listen as the facts present were not said "nicely" / in a digestible way.
The testaments of those going through a genocide are not comfortable nor digestible. They can't be , if we look at what the Palestinian people are going through. It should be uncomfortable for us . It's more than abhorrent and gut-wrenching to see what we are seeing in real time as we are witnessing genocide and global "conflicts" being documented in a way they never have been before due to the presence of social media and accessibility of new information through the Internet .
However, to prioritize your comfort and claim that you will not listen to Palestinian voices unless they are performing and presenting the stories of their deceased loved ones in an appealing way - is jarring to say the least. It voices your lack of connection to those around you and just how much ignorance you are willing to live in without it even somewhat weighing on your conscience.
The fact that you have the physical ability to turn away from such atrocities highlights your privilege, and it's clear you only have an interest in exercising it.
We all have a part to play in fighting for the freedom of people globally, but we are not the topic of conversation here ! This isn't about us!!
Our comfort is not valued above the welfare of those going through a humanitarian crisis , those being subject to a level of trauma which is unfathomable to the rest of us who are living safely.
We do not have the privilege of comfort throughout this.

I'm writing you today to tell you about an EU petition to save video games. The long and short of it is that there's a petition to force companies to create an end of life plan for their games as a service products that keeps the games playable by the people who bought them. If it gets enough signatures it will be presented before parliament to get voted into law.
