Johnshi & Gelphie Parallels
After listening to Wicked, I realized that "What Is This Feeling?" and "For Good" give such Johnshi vibes.
Elphaba and Glinda's relationship is similar to Johnny and Kenshi's. Like the two women, Johnny and Kenshi started disliking each other intensely and were unwilling to resolve. But it changed when an important moment brought them together- Elphaba wore Glinda's "gift" and Glinda danced with her when no one else would while Kenshi lost his sight protecting Johnny and Johnny took care of and encouraged Kenshi to keep going. Elphaba and Kenshi are similar since they are more withdrawn and serious. The same for Johnny and Glinda who are more comedic and self-centered, but kind. In the end, I like to believe Johnny and Kenshi see each other as the one that changed them for the better. That's why I love their intros together since we see how much they care about each other- Johnny asking Kenshi if Jax is a good guy and calling him his best friend while Kenshi takes time to go to Johnny's movie shoot and trusts him to take down the Yakuza by his side. If they become a couple at some point, I would beam with joy. They would be a great couple. I kind of doubt it could happen because of BladeCage, but I'm still going to dream.
Anyway, I'm going to be listening to "For Good" with Johnshi playing through my mind. 😂

the “Elphie! Thank Oz you’re alive” scene is not talked about enough. Glinda literally spent years worrying that her best friend might die at any moment at the hands of the man she’s working for and yeah she keeps working for him but then she HUGS ELPHABA IN FRONT OF HIM.
And then she’s all “Fiyero have you misplaced your mind” girl you are just as down bad you just hugged the Witch in front of the Wizard.
"Elphie, now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project!"
"...you really don't have to do that."
"I know! That's what makes me so nice."
WOAH the first fanart i've ever put onto my tumblr... crazy...
this is for @spaghettiisinmysoul, inspired by their espeon and umbreon designs of Glinda and Elphaba! i couldn't get them off my mind at all this week, so i decided to just take the time to sit down and draw them.
making this was a new experience since i've never really drawn Pokémon before, but it was certainly a fun one! i think my favorite part was drawing their expressions.
as for the designs this art was based on, i absolutely adored the curl on Glinda, and honestly i wish i added more curls in her fur.. maybe next time! i also loved how green Elphaba was, even as an umbreon, so i made her EVEN GREENER. muahahaha... hope that's not too much of an issue.
anyway, i sincerely hope you enjoyed this! i hope to make more art for wicked (and perhaps more of these designs) in the future!
