Beaches and water :
Muffled waves clash in softness over your body. You move quietly through out the sick-green seaweed - letting it smoothly collide with your body. Everything was in order . The fish that came past you were breezeless , sea beds welcomed you with open arms . Life was undisturbed [ allowing you to cherish the views ] . However, your whiskers hollowed out a deep feeling : something very pure. Rising out the depths of the estate blue sea your flippers yearned for the pleasant sand. The particles held you with admire while you hopped along it's satisfactory surface. A breeze ticked over you , letting you know that the sun's here. It's still here on the impressive beach. You snarl lightly , playful towards the other seals infront you . Their responses were calm , mindful of your wonderful presence - today was a day for basking .

San Juan Islands of northwest Washington, a haven for endangered marine mammals where the people number just 7,000. A male humpback whale named Nike, thought to be 10 years old, approached whale watching boats in the Strait of Georgia and circled them for nearly an hour. According to researchers’ logs, he has a reputation as an extremely curious whale.Â
What's missing???
I made this seal for my friend as a gift, but I feel like something is missing.
I just can't put my finger on it.
Should I put a glint in its eye, are the eyes too big, or should I add another detail somewhere else?
Any input would be so helpful. Please help me, I want it to be perfect!

In the process of trying to decide if I want the background dark with kelp fading in and out or have the background white with kelp has faint line work. Decisions
Working on the reflective sheen on the fur for the seal. One of seven commissioned book plates.

Fish-uary Days 19, 20, and 21: Arctic (Harbor Seal), Indian (Chagos Anemone Fish), and Atlantic Oceans (Atlantic Flyingfish)
I imagine these three to be royalty of the sea, along with Deep Blue for the Pacific Ocean. The one in the middle is actually the design I made for the dwarf planet Sedna, as she was named after the Inuit mother of the sea of the same name.
Fish-uary Days 22 and 23: Favorite (Flapjack Octopus) and Bioluminescence (Firefly Squid)
The Dumbo Octopus here is named Norbu, based on the squishmallow plushie I own of the same name.

I don't have the energy to finish Fish-uary at the moment. I might finish the challenge in March, but don't hold your breath on it. I don't like making promises as I'm not exactly one to keep ones like that. I will be making art, but I like to draw what I want.
