That moment when she's both Genderfluid and Neurodivergent

All of Sparrow's deaths so far have been self inflicted. Buddy are you okay?
I just realized that some lady suddenly became pregnant and gave birth to a freaking cube. She probably was like wtf is this shit. Then the cube starts whirring and stuff. Wtf

My weird... Happenchance moments.
So my Dad is visiting this weekend, he usually comes up twice a year. Unfortunately we're right in the Onstage for my first show and I'm working non stop.
Between my matinee Understudy and my evening Onstage I have exactly two and a half hours. It takes half an hour to get home, and half an hour back, leaving an hour and a half to grab supper together.
I decide to take Niagara Stone Road out of NotL, which I 99% of the time avoid like the plague. It has several different speed limit areas, three school zones, stop lights, intersections, residential driveways, flat open fields with huge cross winds, a roundabout, and nonstop tourists trying to get back to the QEW and having no idea how.
On the map it's more direct. In practice, less so. But for whatever reason I decide to try it today.
So I'm stuck behind confused cars going "why the HELL did I go this way?" and everyone's backed up waiting to make left turns at the intersection light in Virgil, and that's when I spot this little guy.

Stunned. Hunkered against the ground. Beak open panting. One eye scrunched shut. Sopping wet in the rain. Dead centre of the roads.
Being completely aggressive when it comes to protecting innocent life, I immediately pull over and storm back into the middle of the streets. You want to go? You're gonna have to go through me.
Cradling the little guy in my gloves, I get him back to the sidewalk, but he's far too wet and dazed to determine how injured he is. Now... The responsible circle of life option would probably have been to stick him in a bush and hope for the best.
But. I also grew up in the heyday of Disney Channel "children adopt an injured wild animal and nurse it back to health". I make a snap decision to get him home and let him rest and warm up. But also fearful that birds can stress out very easily? Well. I'd plucked him from certain death, if he could hold out through the trip home, I'd do my best. Also the NC750X has a built in trunk.
Back at home, a light paper towel dry, some seed and water offerings, and he was bright eyed, suspicious, and flying around the bathroom in no time.
Health apparent and senses restored, the best option seemed to be "put him right back in the area I found him," so Dad shows up and I'm like "No time for food, we're helpin' a birb!!" Sparrow goes in a box and us goes in a truck and truck goes back to Virgil and, welp;
I dunno how to rotate that. Oh well. Better at riding bikes than writing blogs.
Yah for not dead Sparra Warrior!

Things I Have Learnt about the British House Sparrow (Passer domesticus)*
1) At full flight, they have really bad brakes;
2) Taken by surprise, they have a turning circle of about 6ft;
3) They do not understand basic English, to wit:
“The OTHER window. OTHER! WINDOW! Jesus you got IN how can you not get OUT?! That window doesn’t even open! OTHER! WINDOW! The OPEN one! The one you came IN by! You all sit on that windowsill several times a day every! single! day! how can you not know where it is?! You’re the fifth this week, bloody talk to each other! Christ even the pigeons have the sense not to fly into the actual room and those guys are idiots....”
* I believe. If it turns out these are in fact Tree Sparrows I’ll be sure to let the relevant authorities know.

More of the pigeon and peacock story, but I’m introducing the antagonist, the sparrow.
The sparrow is an outdoor bird, like the pigeon, who saw a poster on the streets of New York of the peacock. Because the pigeon and the peacock are basically celebrities at this point, they've become the mascots for the zoo, so the zoo has posters of the two as advertisements. The sparrow sees one of these posters, and immediately falls for the peacock, so they set out to try and find the peacock. One day they spot the peacock, who just escaped the zoo yet again, and is on the look for the pigeon, but the sparrow tries to get their attention. The sparrow jumps in front of the peacock, and gives them a shiny rock, but the peacock is unimpressed because they just spotted the pigeon. As the peacock runs off to interact with the pigeon, the sparrow plots to start sabotaging their relationship, so that they can be with the peacock instead.
Here are some of the sparrows attempts at romancing the peacock.
The sparrow comes up with an idea to impress the peacock by acting like the pigeon, so one day they do things like digging through a trash can like the pigeon does, but they accidentally fall in. Before they can get out, a trash man collects the trash, and the sparrow is thrown into a garbage truck, and taken to a land fill. It takes the sparrow a week to get back.
Some time after the trash incident the sparrow decided to visit the peacock at the zoo, but one of the zoo employees mistakes the sparrow as an animal that escaped their enclosure, and brings them back to the bird enclosure which is separate from the peacocks enclosure. They end up being trapped in a zoo enclosure for a month before they finally break out.
