Heartstopper s2 finished, just in time.
It was simply BEAUTIFUL.
Briefly put: Again, an excellent translation and expansion, really, of the comic. The the secondary characters are brilliantly fleshed out. I adore the visuals. The soundtrack is also good, and I might consider a further listen?
(I'm not really a music listener beyond video game or film scores or occasional old pop songs and I think I could do with more variety either way (though I have no idea where to look))
I was very much tearing up at some moments, especially the closing scenes of the last episode, and I think I'll have to brace myself for more of that in Season 3.
... also, the Monster Hunter Wilds brainrot on top of this is really hectic. I still have a minor problem with Heartstopper and everything else I like being too far removed from each other to really synergise.
Imogen absolutely destroying Ben is fucking hilarious. and you know why Harry Fucking Greene pulls you up on something you've fucked up

Happy tuesday heres what the heartstopper characters would do if they woke up in a saw trap
nick: depends on the trap. he could hurt himself if he had to but wouldn't want to hurt anyone else e.g. mans surviving the venus fly trap but not the reverse bear trap.
charlie: i actually think charlie would survive any trap hes a bad mf when he wants to be.
tao: tao is speed running that shit. no nonsense. he was born for this. jigsaw would have to ready like 5 separate traps just to keep him there for more than ten minutes
elle: jigsaw grows attached and tries to get her to be an apprentice. she tells him to get fucked.
tara and darcy: sorry everyone but theres no way in hell these girls are beating a saw trap. be honest with yourselves.
issac: beats the trap and proceeds to tell absolutely no one. they're all like 'hey issac wheres ur arm' and he just shrugs.
imogen: panics and screams but somehow manages to complete the trap
tori: jigsaw does get her to be an apprentice. becomes the greatest and most terrible jigsaw the world has ever seen
ben: gets put into one of those rigged ones that are unbeatable and fucking dies. get shat on ben you crusty piece of shit.
Ok so i just read all of Heartstopper that was available on Tapas. And holy shit i love it lol. ALSO I DIDNT KNOW THAT HEARTSTOPPER IS GETTING A SHOW?? AHH I'M SO EXCITED
Aaahhhhh I'm gonna cry, I just read Heartstopper Volume 1 (by Alice Oseman) and goodness fuck it's so cute. AND I really want to read the 2nd volume but it's checked out rn in the digital library app on my phone.
I just watched ep 1 of season 3 of Heartstopper and I just wanna gush over how fucking good this series is
like honestly it's one of the best (maybe even The Best) book-to-screen adaptations I've ever seen, the characters were cast so incredibly well, I fucking love the fact that Alice Oseman is directly involved, and bc of that we get to see more of the other characters their individual storylines besides just Nick and Charlie's (and that those new storylines are *accurate to what the author invisioned for them* instead of Netflix making up random ooc shit, it's so awesome to see)
and I know many people think that this series is "too cheesy" or "not realistic" or whatever the fuck- we're allowed to have cheesy, queer romance on screen, the straights have soooooooo much more than queer/trans people do, let us have this goddAmmit
Anyway that's my gushing done for now, I just adore this series man
