Short Description:

A fellow first-year student to the main character and from the Pomefiore dormitory. Fleetingly beautiful but also extremely cold, she’s become known as “The Ice Princess” among the student body, especially among the first years. And while she is elegant, the frigid air around her makes others unable to approach her.

Personality:

Fuyume always maintains a completely even-tempered and serene demeanor no matter whatever may happen, even if there may be chaos happening around her. Her expression never changes from her default; a stony, if a bit doll-like thousand-yard type of face. She’s also completely honest and doesn’t hold back her words, even if it is harsh, even if it makes someone cry, making her come across as coldhearted— she’s also elegant and graceful, always polite and formal with everyone, addressing the senior students and the faculty with respect… but due to her no-filter, she will not hold back her tongue in shaming someone who says or does something wrong, or even towards anyone who cannot back up their words or actions properly. Fuyu also has a practical sort of mindset, believing that one should, instead of just merely hypothesizing and idealizing something, they should just go do it with all that they can, and if they shatter and scatter in the wind, then so be it.

She’s a firm believer in the phrase, [actions speak louder than words] since she accepts and understands that while it is easy to say something out loud, actually putting it into action is not something everyone is willing to do. Besides that, she also believes in the term, [to see is to believe, and to believe is to see]; her logic in this is that words are meaningless to her unless there is physical or visible proof, as Fuyu believes that if it cannot be grasped in one’s hand or cannot be seen by one’s eye then it does not exist, it should not be able to exist….

Despite time and time again showcasing to everyone how frigid and seemingly unfeeling she is, and also because of her true nature, Fuyu is actually torn on the inside about her inability to feel ANYTHING. As a snow/ice fae, she was born with the seeming inability to express or even feel emotions, her heart, along with her body temperature, extremely cold and numbed… although that is not entirely the case, as she feels a dull ache in her chest whenever she sees other people interacting; laughing, crying, getting angry, celebrating, and so on. All of it causes something within her to stir and make her feel like there’s something missing; a deep and bottomless void in her that cannot be filled no matter what she did. Fuyu had long since given up on trying to attain [emotions], and thus if she couldn’t understand or comprehend hers, then, at the very least, she wanted someone to be her guide. She doesn’t want a savior, nor a hero, just someone who can help her understand just what makes someone [emotional]; what makes a [heart].

Trivia:

Her name, [Fuyume], is a combination of two words, (Fuyu) + (yume); when combined it means “winter’s dream”.

Her last name is a combination of two words, [Yuki] which means “snow”, and (O)totsu which means “drop”, thus “snowdrop”–– which refers to the pure-white flower that blooms in winter.

Due to her nature as a snow/ice fae, she has a hard time expressing or fully comprehending emotions and as such can come off as very standoffish. 

Also, her body temperature is extremely cold; like, literally ice-cold. 

Best part is, it can still go lower until she turns into an actual solid block of ice! Oh, and the air around her is really chilly too.
