The bar is the best place to go first thing in the morning, right? Well, it is if you want to hug the bachelor, apparently.

Malcolm and Penny went outside to chat and play a little catch.

Back inside, Charlotte is worried that Malcolm is paying more attention to the other girls than he is to her. He reassured her that he’s going to give everyone a chance.

Most of the ladies don’t actually seem all that interested in talking with Malcolm. They’re more interested in the bar and the hot tub. The hot tub dates aren’t until this afternoon, girls.

Malcolm and Charlotte spent some time on the front lawn, playing catch and water balloon fighting, and then hugging. (Malcolm is hugging much more readily than I would have expected.)

Not all of the girls get along, but they seem to be forming some friendships.

At eleven o’clock, Malcolm called all the girls in for lunch. There’s only an hour left until the first eliminations, which means this is the last chance for the ladies to get their relationships up with Malcolm.

At noon, Malcolm gathered all the ladies in the living room and I took a look at his relationship panel. It’s quite clear who’s in the lead at the moment. It’s also clear who is going home.

Malcolm: Nancy, you and I just...don’t get along. I don’t think we’ve had a single positive conversation.
Nancy: You’ll be sorry! I would be a great wife! None of these people even compare to me!
In spite of Nancy’s objections, she is going home. Bye, Nancy! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

It’s time for hot tub dates! Charlotte, Holly, and Sharon managed to get into the tub with Malcolm, leaving the other girls to use the other tub and watch jealously.

Holly dominated the hot tub conversation, talking about all the trips she would love to take.

After they got out of the hot tub, the girls and Malcolm had dinner and wrapped up the day. There are six lovely ladies left!

Later that night, Cynthia caught up with Nancy to talk with her about the elimination.
Cynthia: So, Nancy, you were the first one eliminated. What do you think went wrong?
Nancy: I don’t know! I’m perfect for him! I’d be the perfect Mrs. Landgraab! It’s not fair, Cynthia. It’s just not fair!
Cynthia: I know, sweetie. I’m sorry. But I know you’ll find the perfect man for you someday! *hugs*

Welcome back to Bachelor day 2! Today, Malcolm will flirt once with each girl, eliminate someone, and then have hot tub and chess dates. It’s going to be a full day for sure!

One flirt with Charlotte and there were crush hearts on at least one side! (I just don’t remember whose...) Charlotte seems to be in the lead so far. Will she win the whole thing?

Malcolm and Bella haven’t actually spent all that much time together, but his Charm flirt makes her remember how cute she thinks he is. I think she’s going to up her game from now on.

Holly Alto also hasn’t spent a whole lot of time with Malcolm, but she’s definitely falling for his charms.

Malcolm and Penny definitely have a lot of chemistry, and they really seem to like each other. No crushes yet, but I’d say they’re well on the way.

Malcolm’s last two flirts didn’t go so well. He couldn’t even flirt with Lottie. Their relationship is too low. (He also doesn’t really think she’s cute.) Sharon rejected Malcolm fairly nicely, but it was still a rejection.

12 o’clock rolled around, which meant it was time for the next elimination. And once again, it was clear who needed to go.
Malcolm: Lottie, we just haven’t connected. I’m sorry. You need to go.
Lottie: What? But I thought we were doing pretty good. Aww, man...
