This is relevant again with the Meat and Candy Epilogues. Just replace the Mayor with Jade as the auspistice.
Everyone keeps debating what quadrant Dave and Karkat’s relationship is. Each has valid and supporting arguments, and they all make sense in their own ways.
But why limit it to just one? What if it’s actually ALL the quadrants?
It was said their love went beyond the four quadrants, transcending the grid entirely. Whatever that nonsense actually means.
Perhaps Karkat is following in the footsteps of his ancestor?

I wasn't into DaveKat before
Because it came out of nowhere
But after seeing their dynamic in the Epilogues
It's fantastic and hilarious and I love it
I can actually see and believe all the quadrants for them
