I have thoughts about the Watch with Jimin livestream...
How do i love thee? Let me count the ways...
I did in fact do some counting. I counted Jimin's blink rate during the almost two minutes he watched JK recording the back-up vocals for Letter to Army. And yes, it was a labour of love, especially since I don't enjoy numbers... they're tricksy squirmy little gremlins that do sneaky things like divide themslves in two, or become imaginary.
But for the sake of science and Jikookery, I counted how many times - and when - Jimin blinked during this sequence.
Overall, nothing unusual to report. The average number of times a person blinks in a minute is approximately 15. In the 1m55s of video I captured, Jimin blinked 33 times. Unremarkable.
Except...
The pattern of how much he blinked changed markedly depending on who was on screen.
When Jmin was watching himself, he blinked far more than when he was watching JK. Frequent blinking can be a sign of stress, and there were a number of other clues too, that Jimin wasn't all that comfortable watching himself: giggling, hiding his face, selfconsciously flicking his hair, playing with his hands etc etc.
When JK was on screen Jimin sat still, his gaze fixed on JK. Often his mouth fell open just a little, his lips parted as though he was entranced. In fact, during the first 20 seconds of the footage when he's leaning forward staring intently at JK, he only blinks 4 times.
And that's a clue to another factor at play here...
There's a phenomenon in the psychology of attraction called a COPULATORY GAZE. When someone stares intently at a person they find attractive, that's what it's called.
It's a COPULATORY GAZE.
So it's not just a minor fascination he has going on, or a bit of focused admiration.
Translated to the coloquial, I guess you could call it EYE FUCKING.
Yes, eye fucking is a scientific phenomenon.
But wait, there's more...
Towards the end of this segment of Watch With Jimin, when JK is done recording and he and Jimin are on screen together, something happens to our dear Jiminie on the livestream.
It involves a bit of eye fucking and lip licking (licking, tongue movement, swallowing, all necessary to deal with the saliva that accumulates in your mouth when you're aroused.) Yes, it seems our boy has a visceral response watching the doco, particularly when JK plays around with him on screen.
JK says he's going to feature in Jimin's concert, and he then moves towards Jimin and says (you can't make this stuff up istg) "I will do this behind you." Right, he's just talking about singing the back up vocals.
Jimin is absolutely transfixed though. He swallows with some difficulty. His chest is visibly rising and falling. He's breathing hard and I'm sure that's not all.
Now realistically we've seen them flirt and tease each other so many times that what they're doing in that studio isn't even worth mentioning. And we know Jimin pushes JK's buttons on screen far more than this, apparently just for fun. So why is this little te-ta-te getting Jimin all hot and bothered (because there's no question, that is what's happening).
There's only one thing i can think of.
It's because he's watching it on screen.
I cannot think of ANY other reason that this lukewarm bit of playfulness would make him literally breathless.
And ya know, because i'm a dirty boy with a wild imagination, this leads me to think of all those times they've flirted onscreen...
Does Jimin go home and watch Bangtan TV clips and get all shook up?
Is he bookmarking all the YT complilations of him and JK doing questionable things, and using them for his own nefarious purposes?
I don't even want to think about the footage that gets deleted, the stuff that's too risque to put in a Bangtan Bomb. I picture Jimin scooping it up off the cutting room floor and stuffing down his shirt to smuggle home.
And what about all the on-stage shenanigans at concerts? Kitty Gang Jimin comes to mind immediately.
Does he search for fancams - from LY Hong Kong maybe - and use them to cam his fan in the privacy of his bedroom?
Ok, I've reached that invisble line.... I'm going to stop RIGHT HERE.
You can decide for yourselves whether our mochi has a lil bit of an exhibitionist streak - whether the thought of doing questionable things in public with his buff boytoy revs his engine.
I'll leave you with this nugget of barely suppressed lust, and I'm not just talking about the goings-on on stage. The whole vibe of this concert is feral. I am forever sorry to have missed this one...
(The two women in the bottom right corner are amost as entertaining as the boys imo... pretty sure one of them drops their army bomb haha...)
My Take on Jimin’s Doc That No One Asked For:
I will never be someone who tells people how to feel. I have seen a lot of discourse from fans of Jimin voicing how upset they are that Jimin’s doc is not launching on Disney Plus or Netflix or in theaters. While I have no doubt that Jimin’s album release experienced certain levels of sabotage, I don’t really think this documentary being on Weverse is part of that story.
Remember, this album was extremely personal to Jimin. He even included a hidden track, and only those that bought his CD could hear it. Also take a look at his schedule for this doc. Every single time listed is in KST with no conversions to western times. Jimin isn’t trying to promote this to a global market. And with how he has been treated in the west by fans and the industry itself why would he? Of course, this is just my opinion. I’m not going to tell someone that they can’t be upset that he isn’t getting the same audience reach that the other members had. But, I’d be willing to bet that was his choice to some extent. We know Jimin loves his privacy and this album was personal to him, so it makes sense that he would want to keep it that way. Just my two cents.
hi! so there seems to be lots of speculation and rumors/drama going on recently to do with jk and jm now too - and people clearly will have different opinions on it all - but from that small glimpse in Jimins live today, they appear to be exactly the same old jikook - it reminded me a lot of Jimins birthday live in 2021 - and Jimin literally went from 🙂 to 😁🤩 when he saw jungkook enter the room! very cute
so whilst it of course doesn’t “prove” anything about if jk/jm are or ever were more than just friends, don’t you think it’s safe to say nothing between them has changed (on the surface anyway)? Same old smiley lovely jikook
Hi anon. I think I can go on record and tell everyone that I am NOT an insecure jikooker. Never have been and unless they prove me wrong, I never will be. I give myself a healthy dose of non-delulu pills every once in awhile just to check in and make sure I’m not leaning heavily into any sort of confirmation bias. But I think it’s safe to say that after the two minutes that we saw of them on screen today, they are definitely the real deal and nothing has changed. I was watching it before work and was so confused when Jimin LIT UP (literally he was smiling from ear to ear instant switch flipped) and started yelling JK. I was like JK isn’t on screen yet why is he yelling? Only to find out that it’s cuz JK was in the room 🥹 he lights up the room for Jimin yall. Makes Mimi starry eyed heart eyed and everything 😭 The 2021 Jimin bday live is by far my favorite Jikook moment. I watched it live (not to brag 💅🏻) and knew the second Jimin smiled and leaned forward to accept the phone call that it was Jungkook. I also got the same vibe today. I have some other ramblings about it that I’ll probably type out into a post. But yes, it was very cute, and flirty, and flustering and everything in between. I hope we will see them in the same frame again but with the camera crew cropping them from the waist down, something tells me probably not 🤣
did you notice that Jimin seems to.. wince?? Idk like a sharp intake of breath or something ? when he watches him and jk hug on the documentary and idk why that reaction! If he was trying to play it cool he could’ve just kept a poker face 🤔? Just wonder why he did that lol
Hi anon. I did notice that!!!!!! It was a super interesting micro expression, and I really can’t read it! He almost looked relieved? I watched it several times and that was what I think I settled on. He was pretty much in a daze for the whole Letter saga with Jungkook except for the few times Jungkook made him laugh of course. It was the quickest hug cut literally ever 😂 which is also sus because do I really think they would kiss or get handsy in front of a film crew? No. But JK’s hand was on Jimin’s hip and then the footage cut. So maybe it just looked sus or they really did some kind of cute embrace that would have been too obvious and lasted too long. I don’t know! But I want to know!! I do think he looked a little tense and then relief when the footage cut. I’ve been curious about other jikookers opinions.
Is it just me who thinks that what we saw in the documentary wasn't the first time JM and JK talked about the song? It seems more like JM gives an intro because of the documentary... they must have talked about the song before... and, when did JK learn to play the song??
Hi anon. I agree. JK didn’t seem surprised to be in the studio at all. He knew what he was doing and why he was there. And great now I’m going to be haunted by the fact that we saw nothing about JK learning how to play it on guitar, none of his thoughts and feelings about it either, which is also sus. He didn’t get a little interview talking about it. And I get that it’s Jimin’s doc but they still showed so little. I’m not surprised though. Jimin actually said more cute things about it than I expected him to.
My Ramblings about Jikook in Jimin’s Documentary Live
So I’m doing it, I’m making a post about it. This will probably be chaotic and poorly organized like all my posts, but here we go.
When Jimin first yelled JK! I was so confused because his bf wasn’t on screen yet. It took me until I faintly heard Jungkook’s voice in the background to realize that he was there. 🥹
One of the first things I noticed too was Jimin’s super cute giggles. I can’t help but wonder if Jungkook was doing something behind the cameras to make Jimin laugh super hard. My guess is yes but either way it was sweet.
The next thing that I noticed that I haven’t seen talked about was Jimin saying something about it feeling like he’s at home watching but there are people in front (I’m assuming camera crew) which could just be a nuanced translation but why now? Jimin you’ve been on air for at least thirty minutes now but suddenly it feels like home? Maybe because a certain cutie boyfriend arrived on set. 🤭🫠 would love to know if there are additional meanings for that translation because it seems out of place.
When Jungkook actually comes up to Jimin’s chest to talk into the mic because Jimin told him to. No boundaries, no second guessing. He can get that close because he does, often. I loved the other bloggers who have already pointed out the similarities between the clearness that we could hear Jimin on the mic when Jungkook woke him up to eat during ITS2. Proves how close he had to be to Jimin for Jimin’s voice to pick it up so clearly in the mic. Also proves why we didn’t see it if they were that close. My guess too is that no film crew was in the room with them. I’m sure they have some autonomy when filming that Jungkook said he was going to wake Jimin up alone. He was still mic’d up though hence us hearing their convo. I personally don’t think they would be cuddled up together with a film crew in the room, I digress.
The next part of the convo is interesting. I wonder if Jungkook had planned to be there. Like maybe they had a chair set out for him and maybe Jimin didn’t know that his bf was going to come get his front row seat and watch. Maybe Jimin was truly surprised to spot Jungkook.
Of course I had butterflies and giggled over Jimin feeling up Jungkook’s chest and getting a little squeeze in. A squeeze that Jungkook definitely leaned in for. Jimin reached his arm out, and Jungkook instinctively knew that Jimin was going to touch him so he leaned in and let him. But then the poor bunny got flustered and forgot to answer Jimin’s question or what to do next.
The next few moments are super awkward and giggly and cute. The camera cuts all visibility on both of them from the waist down but we see Jimin tap JK on the booty. He’s not slick 👀 then he tells Jungkook that he can go home and rest and insists he takes the chair with him 🤣
Jungkook leaves with gusto telling Jimin he will watch his documentary (I think the translation says on the way) but I’m assuming that means on his way home probably.
The last interesting thing is Jungkook widening those doe eyes at the camera, looking at it dead on and saying goodbye. I love you. I’m so conflicted because I really really want to believe that I love you was for Jimin. Jimin was already seated at that moment, recovering from the flirty commotion. The way that Jungkook was so adamant about that I love you makes me feel like it wasn’t for me or Army, but again, I try not to have confirmation bias. I hope this is not one of those times. Jimin waves to him cutely. His eyes following Jungkook out the room and then concludes that it was nice. 🥹 Be still my heart.
It was nice. Very nice to see them together. Very nice to shut down all the haters and insecure people out there. Nothing has changed between them. No one can deny their closeness after that. And for those that need to cling to their gestures and mannerisms not indicating an intimacy that extends beyond a platonic friendship, good luck with that. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Just leave us alone. Your homophobic rants and petty rumors aren’t welcome here. ✌🏻
in the documentary commentary released now they cut out/ didn’t discuss any about JK recording for letter! This is like when they cut out any reaction of the rosebowl moment too - it’s a bit sus 😂
Hi anon. Oh it’s definitely sus. They glazed over it more than a doughnut!! They didn’t talk about the original lyrics Jimin wrote either that made it even more personal. And of course we didn’t see Jimin asking Jungkook to be on the song. And all he told him was that he “wrote a fan song”. Idk but whenever we saw Jungkook in the recording booth and they started the track with Jimin singing “Baby” I felt some type of way. The butterflies type of way. Maybe that’s why we didn’t see much of Jungkook’s face. I bet he was endeared too. And Jungkook is known to wear his emotions on his sleeve.

Anon, Jimin looking ethereal, stunning, gorgeous. All the beautiful adjectives, Jimin exceeds them. I love seeing him blonde and radiant and that shade is so so perfect for him.
I got up at 5:30 am this morning to watch him, and hearing his pretty singing and cute laughs and adorable English gave me the strength to power through my Monday.
I really really want to know what he was going to say! He did say Jungkook’s name. He’s so cautious and mysterious. He never gives us anything but he’s everything so it doesn’t matter.
