Bought a 4-pack of Jimmy Dean Sausage, Egg & Cheese Muffin sandwiches. There are 410 kcal in each sandwich. They taste alright, but the microwave instructions are tough to follow with my particular microwave. Granted, the instructions are meant for an 1100W microwave, and I've got a 1580W one.
1. Remove the sandwich from the plastic wrapper. So far so good!
2. Then, wrap in paper towel and place in microwave.
3. DEFROST on LOW power setting (30%) for 90s.
4. Turn sandwich over.
5. Now COOK on HIGH power setting for 50s.
6. Enjoy!
I was able to do steps 1 and 2. But my microwave doesn't let you control the power by percentage. You just have power levels 1-9, and theres nothing telling you the difference in power between each level. This morning, i tried the lowest setting, Level 1. That didn't defrost the sandwich much at all. Then I tried Level 3. Still nothing.
I finally just gave up and decided to cook the sandwich on the default (HIGH) power setting for 60s. The sandwich came out hot and cooked; seemed fine. But next time, I'll read the cooking instructions more carefully before buying it...
I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
