Hikosangen Chikai no Sukedachi" ~Keya Village
This is the story of Oono, a female martial artist whose father was killed, and how she avenges her father's death with the help of Rokusuke, her permitted marriage. The famous scene where Oen meets Rokusuke, known as "Keya-mura," is the most famous part of the play.
In the Kabuki world, women who excel in the martial arts are called "onna-budo," and Ozon, who appears in "Kegatamura," is said to be a representative example. She is beautiful, skilled in martial arts, and has a strong sense of justice, making her beautiful and heroic performances a must-see.
She was abandoned as a child and adopted by Yoshioka Ichimisai, an instructor at the dojo of the Mori family in Choshu (Yamaguchi Prefecture), but her foster parents were assassinated and her younger sister was turned against her, leaving the family scattered.

Kajiwara Heizo Homare no Ishikiri
Heizo Kajiwara Kagesutoki is a connoisseur of swords who uses his powers of observation to save a father and daughter from danger. As the common name "Ishikiri Kajiwara" suggests, the scene in which Kajiwara cuts a stone water bowl in half with the help of his famous sword is the most impressive part of the performance.
Kajiwara Heizo Keitoki
At the time of this story, he is a master swordsman on the side of the Heike clan, and a man of discretion who is able to see the true nature of things.
In history, he is said to have been a close retainer of Minamoto no Yoritomo, who fought with Minamoto no Yoshitsune, tipped off Yoritomo, and eventually drove Yoshitsune into a corner.
