Kenosha Pride 2023 - our first protesters ever!

Kenosha held it's eleventh Pride Event today, 08-July-23, and according to the organizers, this pathetic showing is our first actual protesters. This was at the park where some of us assembled to march to the actual event location.

Once the march started, this group cut across a few blocks so they could wave their signs at us again. I think the effect was spoiled a little by the fact that it was the same group. To be fair, we did see at least one or two more hanging out along march route, but they were equally pitiful and lackluster.

I honest find the signs kind of baffling. Is good layout really that difficult? I'm not expecting professional level here or anything, but at least try to meet grade school level! Why do these kinds of groups always have signs that are just this badly made. Kerning people; have you ever heard of it?

Even the one that's more or less legible is just "meh." (Hey, look, we've got at least two church groups marching with us. Apparently they read the literature, when you clearly have not.)

Police shoot Jacob Blake 7 times in the back as he gets into his car. The city has taken no action against the officers yet, but has deployed force against community members and called in the National Guard. Protests across the country are starting tonight in solidarity with Kenosha, WI and Jacob Blake, who’s currently still in “serious condition.”

Anthony Huber was 1 of 2 killed and 1 of 3 shot yesterday by white supremacist Kyle Rittenhouse. Kyle Rittenhouse has been arrested in his hometown of Antioch, IL.
