Being in multiple fandoms is confusing sometimes. For example, I am a potterhead and I have been a potterhead for a long time. I have also recently entered the yaelokre Fandom. So that now when the name 'Kingsley' gets mentioned, my brain is like;

And this sh!t is important, because Kingsley Shaklebolt( hope I spelled that right) from Harry Potter is a calm and collected auror with a soothing deep voice, while Kingsley from Medowlark is a bbg, energetic chipmunk who stresses out Perrine.

Do I know what Yaelokre is yet? No, not in the slightest. But they have some cool tunes and cool little characters who happen to like crickets so I'm all for it.

So I just read a fanfic with a regulus x kingsley ship??? It wasn't even a romantic relationship, and I still fell in love with it! Where tf has that been all my life??? Its so good?? How is that ship not popular? Has it been popular, and people were just gatekeeping it? Cuz if so, I wouldn't even blame yall. There is a lot of hate in this fandom.

hey y’all, I know I rarely post (once in a blue moon really) but I wanted to show this Kingsley I just finished, just got into yaelokre and absolutely love it, hope y’all like this as much as I do! (Don’t mind my stupid avatar in there 😅)

[ … ] ❀ you’re not from around here , are you? i figured because you totally just missed { kingsley adamu } walking by. don’t tell me you don’t know who { he/him } is/are ? they kind of look like { michael evans behling } and i could be wrong but i think that they might be { twenty-eight } years old right now. they’ve been living in palmview for the last { six years }. and i don’t know if anyone has ever told them this before but they kind of remind me of { logan huntzberger } from { gilmore girls }. if you stick around the town long enough you might catch them in action working at { - } as a { luxury real estate developer / heir to the adamu empire }. you see this town isn’t really that big of a place, some folks like to call them the { the crooked crown } of palmview! they took a liking to the name too after a while, go figure. oh crap, they must have heard me yapping. they’re coming this way. i got to warn you though, rumor has it they can pretty { self-destructive } at times. i wouldn’t take it too seriously though, from the times i’ve spoken to them they seemed pretty { charming } to me. we see each other all the time since they live in that { four bed } apartment beside me over in { costal cove }. i better leave you to it. it was nice meeting you!

BACKGROUND

the adamu family fortune has been passed down to many generations, the true definition of old money. their main source of income comes from their luxury real estate business, which has seen them oversea successful developments all over the world. as well as this they own one of new yorks biggest football teams ( name tbd ), and have investments in many companies from media to tech.

from as young an age as he can remember, king saw more of the hired help than he did his own parents. in fact if he's being honest with himself, it seems the only reason they had children in the first place was simply for the sake of carrying on the family name. his father for the most part was someone he saw maybe two to three times a year, for no more than two weeks at a time. and while his mother was around more, she was very cold and neglectful, and at times extremely emotionally abusive.

expectation was thrust upon him at a young age. expected to join the family business as well as one day take it over. expected to go to the right school, have friends from the correct circle, marry someone who his parents deemed a good fit.

kingsley did his best to rebel against this, and was often kicked out of school for reckless behaviour. though eventually he'd go on to attend college, though would eventually drop out after getting swept up in the party lifestyle.

however his avoidance of joining the family business would come to an end, eventually giving into the pressure when he realized his life was in a slump, and so he agreed to move to palmview to help his father set up a new branch of their real estate company, eventually being trusted enough to oversea it alone. he's been there ever since.

sometimes he isn't fully sure who he is or wants to be, somewhat of a rebel at heart who, despite attempting to stay tame, often can't help but to seek out thrill. comes across as very confident, but there is a deep level of insecurity within him, as nothing he has ever done has been good enough. fully takes advantage of his wealth and name and the doors it can open, and is never afraid to use it to help others when he can.

prone to self-destructive behaviours and often used alcohol and sex as a way to mask and cope. acts on emotion more than he'd like to, completely impulsive. struggles to keep up healthy relationships.

I'm a little late to the party with this but, have you guys heard of Yaelokre?

The art and music for Yaelokre is so beautiful, the creator is insanely talented! Personally, I highly recommend looking them up as their art actually inspired me to create a story (which is a W.I.P right now)
