concept : Spider Rabbit hybrid, where it's roughly a squirrel sized creature. It has a spider like body shape with a large cephalothorax (compared to its abdomen) that houses two sets of a standard rabbits limbs. Rather than a spinneret it has a puffy standard bunny tail, with 6 eyes adorning its head. Its pedipalps resembling more traditional spider charecteristics, with large teeth rodent teeth protruding downwards. All while having appropriately large ears, that could be seen before you see their bodies in long grass. But now make it a lightly social creature that uses these teeth to aggresively hunt bugs and smaller rodents, that nest in groups of 4-6. Now all of that, but make them Jackrabbit spider hybrids instead of sterotypical rabbits. Lagomoph perfection, it'd need such a high calorie diet to maintain so many legs and warmblood, so they'd be constantly hunting.

I've figured out a potential reason! (let's be honest though this is just rationalization of a weird human thing)
Lagomorph is "hare form" in greek! the bunnies and pikas and whatever are donning this unfitting title.
