Out of the window and into the world.
I will never forget the feeling I felt today seeing this site for the first time. Lake Jocassee in South Carolina is special. First adventure since my move, and what amazing fresh start on life.
This is one of those places that no picture or video could ever do this justice. From the bottom, this lake is the clearest lake with the most beautiful water I have ever seen. More pics to come.
Lake Jocassee from the ground. Y’all… this is a lake in SOUTH CAROLINA! As someone who already appreciates the nature here in SC, this blew my mind even more. This place was extremely beautiful and relaxing. And to think I get to call this region my home now… long story short I’m getting a kayak asap.

There’s so much beauty in common things. Life is too short not to appreciate the pines.
Dusk has a specific feeling I’ve always loved.
And just like that… 2023 is a wrap. I’m entering into a new year - untouched by my darkest times. I entering into a new set of dates on a positive note. I’m not terrified of the future anymore. The bigger world around me can be so uncertain and scary if I tune into it. But I plan to focus on the life directly in front of me. This time, my little world will be safe again. I hopefully can leave a lot of the 2023 darkness behind me so it doesn’t cause anxiety in the aftermath. Life is so much bigger than a 10 month stretch. It’s taking me a lot longer to heal from it than I thought it would, but I am well on my way.
