Lupin trio angst thing

lil analysis and kinda my take on odas death? Absolutely not cannon, just why i think everything played out the way it did

I think oda knew full well how much he mean to dazai and even ango, and how hard they would take his death

I think oda knew how much it would hurt dazai, knew how it would shatter his heart. And then did it anyways

He got revenge for his kids yes, but he absolutely broke dazai in the process and essentially said "oh well" like it was just something that didnt matter yet or even at all. He would have never gone against his dream to become a writer without killing anyone(else) if dazai or ango had something similar happen to them. Sure he would go try to save them and risk his life, but he wouldnt kill like he did eith the kids

Oda cared for the kids more than he ever cared for dazai and ango

And then, he had his lil selfish(kinda) moment

When he dies he grabs onto dazai right? He does this because he doesnt want to see himself die, and certainly doesnt want to see dazais reaction. He isnt ready to face what hes actually done to this kid
