ND - Kroll’s Diner

The lure of this 50’s style looking diner brought us in for breakfast. And when they say, “You won’t find Foo Foo food here! Just tasty, old fashioned German and American favorites in portions you can actually see”. They are not kidding you. The portions are generous. Be ready to be asking for a to go box for your leftovers as we all did. We started with an Appetizer Sampler(Popcorn chicken bites, mozzarella cheese sticks and onion rings). After which, I ordered their Country Fried Steak breakfast (8 oz) topped with their yummy country sausage gravy. Their homemade brown gravy is also available as a choice. Of course it came with hash browns and your choice of 2 eggs. Over easy for me please. It was a nice treat to be able to choose French toast. Pancake and biscuit with gravy are the other choices. The food was great and our waitress was very attentive. Next time, I’m going to try their Knoephla soup. A man sitted nearby ordered a bucket, yes you read that right, a bucket of this Knoephla soup he just finished eating. That tells me that it must be really good to want to order a bucket of soup to go. I’m having another dose of good food at Kroll’s Diner soon. That’s how I started my Sunday. How’s your day so far?

My Moto G 4th Gen.

How frustrating it is to land and find your current phone carrier having limited to no coverage at a place you will be vacationing? Quite disappointed as I have been a happy customer for the past five years. A new phone and a new carrier. Sad to say, goodbye Virgin Mobile and hello AT&T.

ND - The Spires - Liberty Memorial Bridge

The Story Of The Spires

The plaza design includes eleven spires on each end of the new bridge to symbolize "The Armistice", which is the peace agreement reached at the 11th hour of the 11th day in the 11th month of 1918 to the end of World War 1.

The spires are placed in a circular formation to symbolize military service members that protect our nation's people. The design also includes a presentation area in which flags are displayed representing the United States, Prisoner of War(POW MIA) and the State of North Dakota.

The tallest spire signifies the height of the tallest point of the trusses on the original Liberty Memorial Bridge.

A little souvenir shopping at the Genuine Gift Shop located in the Visitor Information Center at Bismarck, ND. I still believe that the photographs you take makes the best souvenir from your travels.

Holding back tears, I walk this hallway. Sadness fills my heart, I ache. Memories I will take, happy they are.
