*A last goodbye*
If Chara was by Friskâs side but Asriel couldnât make it out of the underground. (I know that there are enough AUâs out there with this or an similar prompt but I canât help wanting to make one too, maybe in the future *shrugs*) Anyway I know the anatomy is off but Iâll hope that doesnât bother you peeps too much.
So, headcanon that in the AU, Iwa is particularly close to Suga because hell yeah.Â
They get along really well both as a team and outside of the club. Also, a side note, I say Iwa is "secretly dating" Tooru because while the third years know Iwa is dating a dude from some other school, they don't know it's the captain of Seijoh lol
What happened in that room
It wasn't pitch black when I suddenly opened my eyes. I had expected darkness; utterly pure darkness engulfing me and suffocating me with the intensity of its denseness. However, it wasn't dense like I expected. I was breathing freely. It wasn't anything like I expected even though I didn't know what to expect of it. I didn't have time to process anything that happened because it happened so quickly. The impact was too great.
When the body hits a solid surface with a great force, usually the head and the lungs collapse under pressure. The major bones crack, the arteries burst and the heart stops beating. The person often feels nothing as everything happens all too quickly at times. The body feels no rush as it stops functioning while multiple organs fail due to the lack of oxygen. The body experiences something called a trauma.
I don't fully remember the events that lead me to this place. I remember driving to work. I remember that I was excited about the presentation I had prepared for my boss. I remember pressing the horn a couple of times because the car in front of mine was going at 40mph instead of 60mph like the street sign showed. And lastly, I remember a loud noise, almost deafening and strong enough to throw me off balance. Right after that I woke up in this room; this queer looking room filled with an emptiness, devoid of anything else but me.
Have you ever regretted continuously being nice to someone who continues to break your heart, betray your trust and make you cry over and over again? I gave you my everything. Everything I have and everything I am. So, why? Why, even after everything, you still... left? Did I really mean so little to you? No... Did I even mean anything to you at all?
If so, then go ahead. Leave. I'll still be here, though. Waiting for you who will probably never even look back. But I thank you. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, the times we spent together.
I won't forget you.
So, The Amazing World of Gumball had it's series finale recently. I haven't watched the show in a long time and haven't seen the finale. However, I wanted to say my goodbyes to it. The amazing world of Gumball was kind of like a modern animaniacs to me. Both talking about pop culture in amazing and funny ways. It left it's mark on cartoon history along with shows like regular show and adventure time. I'm not even a big fan and I'll miss it. So, goodbye Gumball. You had a great run. I know it's not the best message I can send but I'm not good at goodbyes. The amazing world of Gumball was an absolute blast.

You felt refreshed. The sunlight warmed your skin, the wind blew in your hair, and the sound of the squeaky tires made you excited. You gripped the steering wheel tightly in your clasp, as the music blasted your ears. The roof was rolled all the way down so that you were in direct contact with the outside atmosphere. Adam Faulkner was beside you, but you were so focused on the road that he kept flickering in and out of your vision. You could smell the cigarette smoke coming from the passengerâs side, where Adam was located.
Bright, rainbow, lights flashed wildly in your eyes. You found it hard to keep your eyes on the road, but you could see well enough to have an idea of where everything was situated. You were going down fast. Fast, fast, fast. So very fast. You loved it.
âY/N,â Adam mumbled around his cigarette. âDonât you think you should slow down a little bit?â
You squinted your eyes, trying to see around the rainbow streaks of light. You grunted. âNo way.â
Adam blew out on his cigarette, and then leaned over to you. He kissed your cheek gently, and started combing his fingers through your hair. You could feel his body heat creeping up your skin.
âA-Ahh,â you stammered.
Faulkner nuzzled your cheek, and whispered âI miss you over here. When will we be home?â
âUm⊠I donât knowâŠâ You grumbled. âSorry. Iâm not going home yet.â
Adam kissed you again, and then sat back in his seat. He continued to smoke. You rounded a corner aggressively, your tires skidding all along the black pavement, screaming at you all the while. You never let up from the gas. Not once. You took delight in watching the trees and fields and other cars pass by so quickly you couldnât even tell what they were. They all looked like colorful blurs at the side of your vision. You liked it for some reason; you were pretty sure it was because it took your mind off reality.
There was a break in the music, putting the car in total silence. Adam took this moment to speak. He said, âI just donât want you getting hurt, Y/N. Will you please slow down? Itâs really not your time to joinâŠâ he looked up at the sky.
You let out a condescending scoff. Adam could be so overprotective of you. âBaby, Iâm not gonna get hurt. This is all just good fun. You worry too much, wonât you relax? Just for right now.â
âI mean⊠your life matters, donât you know that? Please, stop the car.â
Your mind went blank suddenly. You couldnât even believe the words you were hearing. âIâm not here to kms!â You shouted at him. âIâm here because I need to relax. Christ, Adam, take a chill pill.â
âI⊠didnât think thatâŠâ Adam stammered slowly. âI was just worried that you might get in an accident.â
âOh my god, baby, why are you doing that?â
âDoing what?â Adam inhaled once again on his cigarette.
âReferring to me in singular, like youâre not here with me.â
âOh yeahâŠâ Adam mumbled. âI guess I wasnât really thinking straight.â
âWhat does that mean?â You asked him incredulously.
âIâm just not as worried about myself as I am about you. I love you. I donât want you to leave this world.â
âOh, so itâs okay for you to go?â
âWell⊠no, thatâs⊠I didnât mean it like that. Of course I value my life, but⊠you come first.â
You shivered, getting a weird sense of dejavu. You looked at him in suspicion, but Adam only pointed out the windshield. âLook at the road!â He exclaimed.
You brought your eyes back to where they should have been. Nothing was out of sorts, but Adam was being his usual, anxious self.
âHoly shit, Y/N. You canât just do that!â
You sighed heavily, and grabbed the steering wheel harder. âSorry. Sheesh.â
âAre you trying to get yourself⊠Are you trying to get us killed!?â
He had to correct himself? You asked yourself. What the fuck is going on with you today, baby?
âI always go this fast, what are you talking about?â
âYou know the speed limit is thirty five, right? What is this?â He peered over your shoulder to get a glimpse. âSixty!?â
You rolled your eyes. âWhatâs the matter, Adam? I donât understand! Youâre being strange.â
Adam was oddly silent. He raised the cigarette to his mouth again, and didnât answer you. You licked your lips nervously, unsure of the situation. You just wanted everything to be normal. âI know itâs been rough after everything thatâs happened. Iâm just glad youâre able to go on rides with me. It makes me feel really happy.â
Adam took a deeper breath on his cigarette and let it out slowly. The conversation ended after that, and the music popped back on. You werenât really in the mood to listen to it anymore, but it gave you something to concentrate on, so you didnât turn it off.
Your vision blurred, the rainbow lights flashed once more. You kept your eyes open though, for Adam. Adam would be panicking if you closed your eyes. Adam didnât say anything even though he could see you losing yourself. You were impressed by that.
The drums and guitar bounced around the car and echoed in your ears. Synthesizer calmed your nerves and the beat was steady. You enjoyed everything that you were hearing. You sighed. âAre you okay?â You asked Adam.
His voice was quiet when he spoke, and his words seemed to fade in and out throughout the sentence. âI donât want you to go through what I went through.â
âIs that what youâre worried about?â You smiled in amusement.
âI donât want you to end up like me.â
Confusion engulfed you. âWhat?â
âOh, look at that,â Adam whispered gravely, looking into the rearview mirror.
You followed his gaze. There were red and blue flashing sirens coming up behind you. You started to slow down. âYou think theyâre after me?â
âEh,â Adam shrugged. âMore or less, I suppose.â
Adamâs indifference concerned you. âWhat?â
âLetâs just see what they have to say.â
âI donât get itâŠâ You told him. âWhy doesnât this concern you?â
âWho said it didnât?â Adam shot back, and then rolled up his window.
You raised an eyebrow at him. âYou want me to suffocate on your secondhand smoke!?â
Adam flickered in front of you. Your eyes stretched wide in alarm and you backed away. Adam moved again, and a shadow flickered across his face. You realized that it was only a shadow. You couldnât really relax after that though.
Turning, you met the officer who had been tailing you. âExcuse me,â he said.
You bowed your head respectfully. âIâm sorry sir. I was unaware of what street I was on,â you lied. âIt wonât happen again.â
âIâm not here for your speeding,â the policeman said casually.
You tilted your head at him. âWhat?â
âI think a friend is looking for you. Do you recognize this name?â The officer handed you a paper with a name and birthdate on it.
Your hands trembled as you looked at it. That was your best friendâs name! âW-What happened? Are they okay!?â Your heart beat increased drastically. Fear pulsed through your veins. You didnât want to find out that they were dead!
This canât be happening! Iâve seen way too much death recently!
Adam scoffed at you suddenly. âYou act like you havenât though,â he commented. âYou pretend like everythingâs okay, when you know itâs not. Come on baby, put two and two together.â
You looked over at him. He had his eyes closed and his head leaned back on the headrest. His cigarette was held perfectly in the corner of his mouth, and his hands were folded together on his stomach. He looked perfectly relaxed. Your mouth flapped open and closed uselessly.
Was he reading my mind?
âYour friend is fine,â the officer said calmly, interrupting your train of thought.
âOh, well thatâs good-â
âL/N,â the man said straightforwardly. âI just need you to step out of the car. Youâre not allowed to be driving. And not to mention, youâre not supposed to be unsupervised.â
â âUnsupervisedâ?â you looked to your right. Adam was still sleeping next to you. You poked him, and he looked at you darkly. âIâm not.â
â âYou're notâ?â The officer asked you in contempt. His eyes flashed around the car quickly, and then he leaned down in front of you. âWell, whereâs the other person?â His voice dripped with superiority.
Your mind was running at one hundred miles per hour. You were trying to wrap your mind around this concept. You gazed at Adam again. Adam had his arms over his chest now, a smug look on his face. âTell him⊠Go on, now. Tell him who youâre with.â
Confused, you said softly, âAdam⊠I donât understand⊠Please help me understand.â
âAdam?â The officer asked in disbelief. âL/N, Iâm sorry but⊠your boyfriend died in Jigsawâs game three months ago.â
Your flushed face turned to him in anguish. âWhat!? No, youâre insane, you must be! Adamâs been here the whole time, Iâve been riding with him the whole time, you canât be serious!â
The policeman simply wrote something down in his notepad. Nonchalantly, he inquired, âYour friend wants to know if youâve taken your medicine today.â
âMy medicine? What medicine, I donât know what youâre talking about!â
âThis?â The man held up a red bottle. Something in your mind snapped. You recognized it from somewhere.
âThat⊠is mineâŠâ You clumsily admitted. âI donât know why I need it.â You looked at Adam for help.
Adam blew smoke into your face, you coughed and glared at him. âI knew it was a bad idea to be speeding,â he informed you offhandedly.
âAdam, stop!â You wailed, and grabbed his shoulders. You shook him. âPlease help me! Please, I donât understand whatâs happening! I miss you, thatâs all! I just want to know whatâs going on!â
Adam took his cigarette and put it in your hand. âTake the medicine. Go back to your friend, and remain there.â
âBut I donât want to leave you!â You cried. You buried your face into his shoulder. Adam held you close. âThatâs why I stopped taking the medicine!â You gasped once the words left your mouth. âThatâs why⊠I drove down here. I was going to your apartment.â
âNot a good idea,â the policeman cut in.
â âSomeone already moved in thereâ,â Adam said knowingly.
âSomeone already moved in there,â the policeman said right after. His voice was serious.
You shuddered. âBut I want to stay with you. You seem real. You give me everything I need.â
âWell, maybe thatâs because itâs not quite all your imaginationâŠâ Adam breathed.
âSo you are real?â
Adam frowned. âI shouldnât be,â he said at last.
âSo you are!?â
âTake your pills,â Adam advised.
âNo, I donât get what you mean.â
âYou will,â Adam promised, then leaned back into the seat. He didnât take his cigarette from you.
Cautiously, you turned back to the man, who was waiting awkwardly for your psychotic break to be over. âIâll take them,â you said uneasily. âIâll take them for Adam. He wants me to.â
The officer gave you a cup of water, and a pill from inside the bottle. You swallowed it easily. It was way more easy than you were expecting, almost like youâd done this many times before.
âL/N, can you please get out of the car? I need to take you home.â
You clambered out of the car reluctantly, Adam was still sleeping inside. âWhat aboutâŠ?â
The condescending officer looked at you empathetically. His demeanor changed to something more light. âDonât worry. Adam will be okay. You know heâs safe where he is, right?â
You stared at the car miserably. âNo,â you said honestly.
The officer gently pulled you into the police car and started to take you home. âWhatâs in your hand, sweetie? Iâm sorry, I call everyone âsweetieâ regardless of their gender.â
You felt safer now. Your mind was starting to relax. You opened your hand slowly, and looked into it. Adamâs cigarette was still resting there, burnt up and put out. You were in no mental state to understand how Adamâs cigarette was in your physical hand while he himself was not here at all. You rolled it back and forth between your palms during the whole ride.
Emptiness swam inside your stomach, and filled up your lungs. You couldnât really breathe around the tightness. Finally the medicine started acting up. You felt yourself resurfacing, felt yourself regaining your thoughts.
You stumbled into your best friendâs arms, and let them hold you. You were getting an earful from them but you couldnât hear the words. Behind your friendâs back, you unfolded your palms again. Not even registering your friendâs embrace, you only focused on your belongings.
You could almost feel Adam in your hand at this moment. Just having the cigarette in your fingers was mesmerizing. If you couldnât be with Adam again, then you refused to let this thing go. Ever. That was just how your life was gonna be. There was nothing anyone could do about it. You closed your fingers around it protectively, secretly. No one would ever find THIS.
Thank you all âĄ
