First Impressions & Introductions:
You and Marcus are an unlikely pair. No one, including yourself, would have thought you’d end up together but that’s exactly what happened.
Marcus first noticed you during Ms. De Luca’s class. You were skilled in hand-to-hand combat and it impressed him. Caught staring too long at you, his sparring partner took advantage and easily overpowered him. Ending up on his backside, he was offered a hand and smirk from you.
“If you ever need some extra practice, just ask. I’ll be sure to give you a good workout.” Those were the first words you spoke to him and after that, he knew he was in trouble.
From then on, you’d constantly tease him, making it known that you had your eye on him. His friends weren’t too pleased at first and encouraged him to stay away from you. You had a reputation, one that would be further advanced if something were to have to the new rat.
You were told to keep away from him based on how it’d look to your fellow students. Your status was important. Being the leader of the death spirit squad meant you had to balance the complexity of responsibilities. But you’d never been one to follow the rules.
How You Got Together:
It’s well known that Marcus is not tactful when using anything other than a bat. Knives? No. Gun? Nope. Bow and arrow? Definitely not.
Once again, Ms. De Luca was insistent on the students mastering skills she deemed useful including archery. Of course, he failed horribly.
After class, you suggested tutoring, and to your surprise and delight, he agreed. That’s how you ended up in the current predicament: your body press firmly against his back, your hands slipping over his own as you adjust his stance.
You’re focused, not concerned about how close you are to him but Marcus is fully aware. It’s making it so much more difficult to concentrate on any of the tips you’re providing.
Your movements are in sync as you guide him to release the arrow. It lodges perfectly into the target’s center. Finally taking notice of your proximity, you chuckle and playful comment slips out.
Marcus retaliates, catching your wrist before you can get away from him. One simple tug has you trapped in his arms, nowhere to go. His kiss is quick and commanding, full of blazing passion. When you separate for air, Marcus leans his forehead against yours, taking in your flushed cheeks and a wide smile.
“I think I’m gonna enjoy breaking the rules this time.” You announce before kissing him again.
Your Relationship Once You’re Both Together:
There are a lot of snarky comments. You and Marcus love to sass each other. Many times there are innuendos thrown in there that have you both blushing messes.
You and the death spirit squad are very protective of Marcus. After coming to terms with your relationship, the squad is more than ready to back you and your boyfriend up if need be.
It’s the same way with Marcus’s friend group. After you came to their aid in an extremely deadly situation, his group realized their distrust was misplaced and now protect you without question.
Marcus loves to give you attention and while he was first hesitant to show affection in public, he is more confident in showing everyone you are together now. Kisses, hand-holding, and back hugs are common throughout the day.
Confiding in one another is an important aspect of your relationship. Knowing the pressures of your school and social lives, you both spend plenty of time reassuring one another. In those rare quiet moments, it’s nice to be alone and far removed from the chaos, dreaming of what could be for the future.

despite his rebellious nature, mattheo finds himself studying more because you insist on it. you have cozy study sessions in the library, where he often gets distracted by your presence and playful banter.
mattheo becomes fiercely protective of you, especially when other students gossip or when you face challenges adapting to the new environment. he’s always ready to stand up for you, no matter what. you face some prejudice from students who disapprove of your relationship.
you often leave each other little messages and notes, writing cute things or how something reminded you of the other
as the school year ends, you both promise to continue your relationship and talk as much as possible, either using letters or the floo network or simply telephones.
you both leave an everlasting effect on each other. you teach mattheo to be more empathetic and a lot calmer as he tries to regulate his emotions before acting. he teaches you to take risks and not take life so seriously all the time.
your farewell is pretty sad, but also quite sweet as you both tell each other that you love them.
mattheo and you stay in contact and despite many people not believing you will make it, reunite during the holidays.
despite your relationship still working great you miss mattheo, your friends and hogwarts deeply, so you decide to come back during your senior year (at that point you had been dating for more than a year)
mattheo is incredibly surprised and happy as you tell him the news and going back to hogwarts feels like coming home after a long vacation.
mattheo and your friends are there waiting for you, making you feel like you never left at all.
