He (on one of the front legs), Lunar (on his wrist), and Earth (on her head) all have little cloth pieces wrapped around on them cuz it's an awesome trio, I love them
I'd imagine they'd all be pretty close with each other since Lunar was his first friend & him and Earth r pretty close in canon

think about it this way, normally it's just a hat, a piece of clothing
this here is a fin (ig?). a part of his body. smth he can feel when touched.
and it's sensitive. if smth even grazes against it - he will feel it. now, depending on the intent of the touch, u can get various reactions out of him. (or none at all, it's like if u smeer ur shin against a rock, u acknowledge it but don't really care)
and yes, he did found out about its sensitivity bc of Gemini. sue me.
also the same thing goes for all of his tentacles.
do with that knowledge what u want.

The rock texture, the creepvines in the background (and the seed clusters), the changing water color, Sun and Moon being graceful underwater boys, and the "camera" movement... IT'S ALL TOO BEAUTIFUL!!

Here's an animation I worked on as a final project for my animation class. No one in class knows it was Sun and Moon ',:)
wish I could've added more inbetweens as this is mostly on threes and fours BUT I ran outta time and finished what I could. I also had to cut some details on the designs to simplify them more but I still like how it turned out.
