i’m tired of hearing people say that the “egyptian superhero” line was cringey. like yeah, sure it was a little corny, but i don’t give a fuck. that entire moment legitimately made me tear up. it means so much to me. i’ve thought about it every day. love that moment with my whole heart.
and honestly it isn’t even that bad a line like so many mcu fanboys seem to think. like if every superhero was egyptian and an american superhero suddenly appeared then there would probably be mcu civilians saying things like “oh wow we have an american superhero!” i mean good lord just let us have this one time that egyptians aren’t portrayed as terrorists. and seeing an egyptian be a main character, a developed love interest, and a superhero means a lot to me and many others. so just stop whining about one throwaway line and use that time to appreciate layla instead.

But like, we really need to talk about how strong Steven really is. Like Marc created him in a moment of huge pain, and it was because "Steven Grant feels no fear." Even when they were exploring their memories, Steven was the one who stepped ahead first, he was the one who fearlessly explored. Like, man's not stupid. He knows who Marc is and what kind of violent memories Marc must have, even if he can't understand the depth of them. But he still took the lead, and he went ahead with courage. Talking and hashing it out with Taweret (she's a dear I love her), making plans to escape, thinking about the greater good, thinking about Marc and doing his best to take care of him- this man has morals stronger than anything, and a heart bigger than the ocean. Him coming to Marc's defence to his best ability, him telling Marc that it's not his fault, him being strong enough to face their fears- I can just keep talking about him forever. I know that after episode one a lot of people were like "omg Steven he's so naive and adorable" and infantalizing him, which grated my gears because he's smart! He knows his shit! He has the courage to voice his opinions!! And he's so brave living through his mental illness to the best of his abilities!!! And I was hoping that we would see his character grow, blossom into who he really is behind all the pain and the confusion, and I'm happy with what I've gotten to see so far. I wish to see so much, so much more.
I'd watch a whole series with just him doing his little things and Layla and MK system being domestic. He's my ultimate little meow meow character and I desperately want him back 😭💕
Marc and Layla need him. I need him. I hope the finale does justice to the show.
P.S: Marvel you cowards give us Jake!
Okay but the line "you were just a kid, it wasn't your fault" was just so good, it was like everyone needed to hear that, no matter what trauma each person is going through, that line meant a lot to me and probably so many other people too

so. i’ve just watched the first episode of moon knight. i think this may be my favourite marvel disney+ show yet
it’s so incredibly trippy, and honestly oscar isaac’s acting is amazing. the sound effects are great and help to immerse you in the story, and ethan hawke is so off-putting as arthur harrow. the actors really did a great job with this ep.
the episode has you relating to and rooting for steven, honestly got my heart racing at some parts
also oscar isaac is kinda hot lol even if he does look exhausted, mans looks so confused all the time.
there’s no way i’m living right now. what.
