100% agree.

Most things I read I enjoy, but sometimes I do have specific ideas that I want to see done in a certain way, so in that case I either commission another writer or, I write it myself. XD

Do you read your own stories after you've written them?

Yeah I do! Part of why I write the stories I do, besides having fun, is because I write what I want to read. Even my older stories. I might see the flaws in them a lot more clearly, but I still enjoy reading them.

Let me pass this question on! šŸ˜€

Oh absolutely! It made me tear up too. The way you tackled that angst was absolutely flawless. 😭 😃

I definitely prefer Omi just casually being immortal too. šŸ˜†

Thank you! I still don't know where it came from, because literally the words The End popped into my head and the story just kind of slotted into place.

On one hand I like to imagine that Omi will go the good!Chase route and just casually persist forever so that's my headcanon. But now that you mention it, I wonder how Chase would react to Omi dying someday.

Ooh I like that headcanon a lot!

Well, if you don’t mind a shameless plug, I did write a variation of that idea in chapter five of my Xiaolin Showdown Short Stories, but I would very much recommend this story:

It’s by @grasshopperdoingdogpaddle and it is Amazing. Absolutely excellent and so delightfully sad!

Why? Your work is amazing!

.: No, they’re not. :.

image

.: I’m not gonna pretend and say that my art or hell, my writing, is really great when in reality that isn’t true. :.

.: I know it’s a very bad thing for an artist to not have confidenceĀ in their work but…it’s very difficult for me to stop thinkingĀ ā€œsomething is offā€ and after I try fixing it think ā€œGreat, now I made it worse.ā€ :.

.: I constantly keep comparing myself to other artists and acknowledgeĀ time and time again that I can’t be as good as them. :.

.: I don’t like having this kind of mentality because I know it’s not healthy, but after my past experiences, it’s been very hard for me to get out of it. I’ve always been very hard on myself, especiallyĀ on my work, and I can’t help it. After all, you are your own harsh critic. I always worry about the quality of my work that I keep over thinking on little ā€œinsignificantā€ details and stress myself out for probably no reason. :.

.: Yeah, I have gotten better over the years and I will admit it and I am happy about it too, but even now, I still don’t see my artwork all that impressive like some people do. :.

.: It’s why, rather than getting likes or reblogs, all I wanted is feedbacks; hear other peoples opinions on my work because… I don’t trust my own judgment. :.

image

.: It’s upsetting really. I USED to be confident in my work. I used to think positively about them and create them without too much worry. But… After some personal events that happened to me, it’s no longer the case anymore. I don’t want to go into any details, but let’s just say that those events had taken their toll on my creative side. :.

.: Now, I still do appreciate all the likes, complements, and, less often, reblogs. I always will, but I refuse to view my work as anything but average or just…decent, I guess. :.

image

.: If you want to see some really amazing artists, I highly recommend the likes of @i-junketsu, @destinyblue, @kyleehenke, and @alexysgh just to name a few from off top of my head. :.

.: They are totally worth your time and I love almost every piece of work they’ve made thus far. :.

.: That’s all I have to say. Sorry for rambling. :.

*Poke Poke. Excuse me , But. When it comes to your blog and how you are as an rper. You have characters that are amazingly written with amazing art accompanying that as well and you , as a mun are an amazing person. So, can I just say, what's the betting that they will be happy and quite willing to rp with you if you ask? And after all, you cant know for sure unless you ask and I bet they'll say yes.

*Poke Poke. Excuse Me , But. When It Comes To Your Blog And How You Are As An Rper. You Have Characters

.: Heh… Thanks for the kind words, but to be honest… I’m not all that amazing. I can be…quite annoying to others. I’m overly emotional to the point that I can easily get upset over the smallest of things. Also…in the past, I’ve said some things that are just horrible. So really, I’m not an amazing person. :.

.: As for approaching them and see if they’ll want to, I always have these thoughts that they wouldn’t be interested, I always back away and let them do their own thing. It’s been like that for as long as I could remember. I’m the kind of person who hates to bother someone and I usually keep things to myself. I want to talk to them. I want to spend some time with them and maybe become friends with them, but… I’m just too nervous, shy, scared, or all the above. :.

.: It’s why I prefer to have people approach me rather than the other way around. It’s less…stressful. :.Ā

We all reach that moment with our artwork where we get stuck and it’s difficult to keep on going because we focus so much on the errors that we detected in our final piece or during the progress.

That is common, we’ve all done it and so have I, but that’s not a sign for you to stop drawing and give up that you’ll always be at that level that you are. I should let you know that the styles I used to draw heavily from were Arina Tanemura (Full Moon Manga), Testuya Numora (Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts), Kishimoto (Naruto), and the past four-year Trigger (Kill la Kill). It’s at those moments you should old take time to step back and look back on the artwork that has pushed you this whole time. Try something different, do follow a tutorial and draw your characters on a different pose or with another expression.

I’m glad however you’re asking for criticism for your work despite how you’re feeling.

My best advice is needing to go back to the basics with tutorials, it’s helped me so much the past 4 years when I started to pay attention more to body proportions and poses, currently, I’m studying colors. I’ll be honest with you the only art class I’ve taken was an art history class in college about 4 years ago! There are a lot of tutorials without the need to use skill share or Patreon, a lot of good illustrators share their work in YouTube and I recommend for you to take time to search what you need to help you.

Even though I’ve used watercolors since middle school I’m still learning new techniques, testing our papers and watercolor brands because I still want to get better. It’s not bad to try out a different media too, for a long while I would also just paper sketch characters, scan then color them digitally without adding line art. There’s was never that ā€œonly one thingā€ that I’d do for my art and that’s helped a lot bit to feel stuck.

You’re doing great, but if you’re feeling this stuck then take the time to look back at what’s motivated you and don’t be afraid of the basics.

You can do it!!

We All Reach That Moment With Our Artwork Where We Get Stuck And Its Difficult To Keep On Going Because

.: I… I never expected this. This is really nice to wake up to and I’m glad I’m not alone with that awfulĀ mentality. Thank you so much for this @i-junketsu and yeah… I’ll continue doing my best. You keep up the great work too. :.
