Background info: Ness and Mad had a rough childhood with an abusive father. Their mother left them when they were little.

Your little brother never tells you but he loves you so (Refering to Mad never telling Ness he loves him so their relationship is more strained than Ness would like and makes him think that Mad may not love him)

You said your mother only smiled on her TV show (Their mother loved her little boys and showed them all the love in the world and put on a little happy facade until she left them because she couldn't deal with their father)

You're only happy when your sorry head is filled with dope (Ness has smoked since he was a teen because he couldn't deal with the guilt and trauma)

I hope you make it to the day you're 28 years old (Ness struggled as a young adult because he didn't know to function as one, no one taught him how to be one)

You're dripping like a saturated sunrise (Even despite everything Ness tries to bring happiness to the people he loves and cherishes every moment with them)

You're spilling like an overflowing sink (Can refer to Ness spilling his guts out for people to see, choosing to be vulnerable in front of them. Or Mad overflowing with negative emotions from trauma and letting them spill without thinking)

You're ripped at every edge but you're a masterpiece (Ness still loves Mad and his father even though they put him through so much shit. He loves so much without receiving any in return)

And now you're tearing through the pages and the ink (Trying to find the real Ness under all that fake facade he puts up)

His hair, his smoke, his dreams (Ness giving up on his dreams of being an actor because no matter what he does he'll just be in his brother's shadow, a serial killer's twin brother. His grey hair is from the substance abuse and smoke that makes him look more aged than Mad)

And now he's so devoid of color

He don't know what it means

And he's blue (Despite loving Mad it drains him. It's hard to love someone who doesn't show any appreciation for you. Ness feels empty with every interation he has with his brother)

When the light came through (Ness perhaps experiencing hallucinations from substance abuse. His mother most likely)

I know I've only felt religion when I've lied with you (Ness used to pray everyday that his mother would take him and his brother away from their father. His mother was religious and taught Ness some of her beliefs)

You said you'll never be forgiven 'til your boys are too (Ness may have forgiven his mother for leaving but will never forgive his father for hurting them)

And I'm still waking every morning but it's not with you (Ness still misses their cuddle pile that included his mother and Mad. He dreams of her but when he awakes he's always disappointed)

And you decided purple just wasn't for you (Mad loving the attention Ness gives him but when Ness starts trying to form a real connection with him he becomes distant and annoyed by Ness, deeming him as a nuisance)

I really want Ness to be a reoccurring character in future FNAF movies. Like the kind that stays mostly in the background for the first few and doesn't seem all that remarkable but then suddenly gets thrust into the plot and winds up joining the main cast.

I don't ship securitywaiter (mike x ness) but I am very tempted to write a fic where Ness tries breaking into Freddy's to gather clues for his investigative true crime podcast (or whatever the equivalent of that would be in the year 2000) and Mike catches him and it's just a silly little meet-cute with some silly little breaking and entering.

"I don't ship securitywaiter" I say as I continue to fall deeper and deeper down the "crackship" rabbit hole.

Even after they search the place top to bottom. For years, he feels guilty about not being able to find Jeremy or any of the other missing kids, and he starts to come up with theories about what could have happened when he realizes there's one place no one looked. The suits. No one believes him except for one security guard who might be able to help him.
