Everything Wrong With The Ninjago Crystallized Finale (General and Opinion Wise):
Spoilers, so bullet points under the cut:
They’re not wanted by the police anymore with no explanation or apology
Hounddog McBrag disappears
What happened to the mayor?
Minimal Harumi screen time (needs to address all the issues she’s created)
Harumi doesn’t apologize or outwardly feel regretful at all
Kai/Skylor don’t talk about their relationship as promised
Lloyd somehow just forgives Harumi for everything she’s done instantly
Harumi and the villains aren’t charged for their multiple continuous crimes
The whole council of the crystal king gets away
No one dies
The Overlord’s death was a bit unexpectedly unexciting
Happily ever after ending
All is forgiven
Kai and Nya and the others don’t immediately jump on Harumi for all the pain she’s caused towards their brother
Side characters don’t get enough attention
Nya has a lot less screen time
No real explanation for why Ronin decided to help the ninja
Christofern somehow grew so much within a short timespan
The government’s issues don’t get resolved
New ninja completely ignored
Wu never got to hit Hounddog McBrag with his stick
No visible trauma emerges (Then again, does it ever?)
Somewhat predictable ending
These are just off the top of my head, so feel free to add and/or remove any points, or tell me if something did happen, and my brain has just failed me in memory lol
Okay remember when…. (Crystallized episode 18)

Here have this random doodle of Lloyd jumping off with Harumi into certain death, which is still waiting for them bellow
So I don't think Tommy is entirely lying
So I'm not sure if you guys know, but if you've been paying attention to Tommy's Twitter lately, you've probably seen things like this:

And other vague tweets insinuating the end of Ninjago.
Now we all know Tommy isn't being truthful here... in fact it's reasonable to ask why he's even trying, since we know that Wildbrain is still hiring for Ninjago artists and animators.
The fandom is also going very strong and the toys still sell like crazy, so it would be strange on LEGO's part to put it to rest.
It's a fact: The show itself, Ninjago, isn't ending anytime soon. And so with this knowledge, why is he still tweeting about the end of Ninjago like a madman?
There are a lot of things we can wonder about.
It's not the end of Ninjago, but the end of this cast.

If you've seen the Crystalized teaser, you might be familiar with fans speculating that this new neon ninja team may be the new heroes in the spotlight from now on. And with characters like Nelson, who aspire to be like our heroes, it's had a lead up for a while.
2. The show will flip to an alternate universe/timeline.
Ninjago is not a stranger to alternate universes and timelines (Skybound, TLNM). The show could end its run in this specific story but go on to a different world where our characters are up to something else. A movie show sounds pretty neat and it's something I wouldn't be opposed to.
3. Next gen.
The show itself hates to confirm endings to keep the relationships between their characters mold-able and open to future storylines. However, with Tommy's emphases on an ending, it could finally end up showing us a skip in time and focusing on the next elemental children.
4. Prequels/sequels starring different characters will begin to be the focus.

We know that Ninjago has a lot of pre-s1 lore and character whereabouts, which fans have been interested in for ages. It's possible Ninjago will continue with stories about our favorite old people.
In conclusion, I do not think Tommy is going to end Ninjago for good but I also don't think he's pulling all these random lies out of his ass. I really want to know what other ideas y'all might have.
Headcanon that the council gets therapy as a parol punishment. Plus having to be watched after by their respective ninja counterparts 🥲😅👍
I feel like s16 could’ve been on a more psychological darkness approach here me out… [pt 1 Rd idea]
All the members of the council have something they wish they still/‘should’ve’ had, but got taken from them, right?[For example, Vangelis talks of how Cole ‘took away’ His throne/Dad-daughter relationship with Vania/His people’s respect]. So what if the Overlord granted something like that whether it involved time manipulation(where each of them have their revenge happy ever after whatnot) or perhaps a dream state situation(where it’s more a trapped state process absorbing their negative energy as they’re in this HEA dream state). I mean it would’ve made a new more serious less villain vs hero approach.
