Info: Kate and Anna are two story boarders who worked a lot on the character of Varian in the show Tangled the series, also known as Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.
This character quickly became a fan favorite at a point where most of the viewers were only here to see him, this is the big cause of why the show lost some of it’s audience during it’s season 2 where the character didn’t make an appearance other than as an illusion during 5 seconds.
Kaiteand Anna both got the idea of creating a story about Varian after the end of the show, where he would go fullfil a quest, accompanied by a new cast and allowing the cameos of the cast of the show.
The story is appealing and creative, but Disney rejected it because Varian is a side character from a Disney princess show. They offered to product this show if they changed the character of Varian it make it an original show, but it was the story of Varian, so Kate and Anna declined the offer, showing true dedication.
They kept working on it for a comic as a fan project but then their career kicked off and they had to stop the project, you can find what Kate shared about this project on her tumbler page here : https://kritterart.tumblr.com/
We do not understand this decision from Disney. The only reason of this not happening is because Varian is from a Disney princess’s show and we asked everyone we know but no one saw how this is a problem. You don’t have to sell it as something from the universe of Tangled if it is the problem. If anything this is only discouraging creativity and making the fans upset.
Let Varian be the protagonist he deserves to be. Let Kaite and Anna continue to explore this character they love so much and let the fans get more content of their favorite characters.
As for now, Kaite and Anna are really busy in their career and maybe this won’t be able to be a thing until 3 years from now when this petition succeeds, but we are just asking Disney to keep this idea of a project somewhere for now. After all, Frozen’s project was something that Disney has been putting aside for 50 years, and look what happened.

When I first joined the Vat7k fandom, my first thought was “HOW HAS NOBODY MADE THIS REAL YET??”
so I’m here to ask, if I where to organize a VAT7K project where the fandom comes together to create an ‘official’ Vat7k comic, would anybody be interested in participating?
this would be completely non profit, just a fandom creating something for the love of the series.
Right now I’m just putting the idea out there and seeing if people would be interested!

it’s from the Hugo and Nuru script, I just did Nurus part.
I never see any fan art of these two during the possession/betrayal scene. Do people think they’re just standing there like this while Varian and Hugo are being dramatic?
Guess who’s attempting to do a really giant Varigo and co in a cave one shot with all the prompts in order for whumptober?!!?

What I think the vat7k gang’s waking up routine is:
Yong: He wakes up the latest, will sleep until 2 pm. Once he wakes up he’s super energetic and ready to go, but only if he’s had at least 8 hours. Anything less, and he’s a blob that can’t do anything
Varian: Arguably the worst out of the four on the sleep side of things. Only goes to sleep when his body is literally incapable of functioning, wakes up late normally (not as late as Yong), but is extremely grumpy no matter how much sleep he got.
Nuru: Embodiment of ‘early bird gets the worm’ wakes up extremely early, doesn’t even drink coffee, she’s just Like That. Somehow can also stay up late to look at stars, but she does sleep a little later on those nights. Believes in self care, tries to get as close to 8 as she can, but often stays up too late.
Hugo: Also an early riser, though not as extreme as Nuru. Light sleeper on account of the thief thing, gets startled by the slightest noise. This leads to many sleepless nights. Can function on little to no sleep, but will pass out half-way through the day. Tries his best to get a decent amount, usually succeeds.

Wumptober Day One- panic attack/secret reveled
This wasn’t happening, this couldn’t be happening. His heart couldn't seem to choose between running a million miles per hour or just stopping completely.
“You didn’t really think he was on your side did you?”
“H-Hugo?”
“Varian I-”
He couldn’t breathe, air was refusing to go into his lungs as some invisible hands seemed to wrap around his throat and everything was going to hell.
This was all his fucking fault, God why did he have to be so fucking stupid.
“Tell me she’s lying”
He stayed silent, staring down at the ground shamefully flinching as Donella placed a cold hand on his shoulder and smiled all while smiling like a wicked witch, anything to avoid Varians eyes.
“Tell me she’s lying!!!”
“I- I’m sorry…”
Invisible pins and needles stabbed him from all around as less and less air entered his lungs from the raw and terrible pain in his heart.
Sorry wasn’t enough, nothing could take back the horrible awful things he’d done.
He was a traitor.
He forced himself to look up, and regretted it immediately.
Varian’s beautiful blue eyes that Hugo had grown to love so much were filled with tears and broken with anger and betrayal. His smile, a scowl holding back a flurry of pained and angry words.
“How could you!!! How could you do this- I guess I’m just an idiot then, aren't I?!”
Tears started flowing down his own face as he felt his heart breaking and his world ending.
“I’ve been betrayed before… but I guess I just thought you’d be different, I thought I could let myself love you…”
“Varian, please I-”
“My mistake”
His eyes were what got to him. Varian’s beautiful, ocean eyes that had no right to make Hugo feel so many wonderful things after he’d worked so hard his whole life to shut those kinds of feelings out.
Donella had given him one job, don’t get attached, and he’d failed.
He’d failed his mom and now he was failing the person he loved most in the entire world.
Varian started running towards the open, glowing portal to the library and Donella ran to stop him.
He stuck out his hand, trying to follow but Nuru and Yong pushed him to the ground with a scowl as they called out for Varian to stop.
Yong’s little face was wet with tears as well as Nuru’s but she just chose to glare at him angrily for a second before running off to help her real friend.
She deserved to feel angry, he was angry too.
They pounded on the portal door, trying to get in, but it was locked… Varian was stuck. Donella was yelling at him and Cryus to do something but he didn’t care, she was probably gonna fire him after this for trying to betray her anyway. All that mattered was Varian… This is all your fault… who knows what is going to happen to Varian in there and it’s all your fault!!!
He didn’t know if it was Nuru or Yong or maybe even himself yelling those words, he just knew they were true… everything was his fault…
An eternity of a few seconds passed and everything was chaos of everyone trying to get in and see what was happening to Varian.
His pounds on the door got weaker and weaker as the despair in his heart got heavier, he was gonna lose him…
“Varian please!!! I love you…”
The door opened, as if it had heard his plea but what came out was worse than anything he could have ever imagined.
Varian floating in the library, ocean eyes that now glowed like ice.
“Hello again Donnie, let’s finish this once and for all”

yes, we all love angst, and varian angst re: his friends finding out about his past. but. imagine if varian just makes vague jokes about it
like they face a minor inconvenience and varian just goes “now this is something to commit regicide over!” and everyone stares at him in varying degrees of horror and confusion until he remembers he didnt tell them that story, so he just goes, “...inside joke. i’ll tell you later”
they get kidnapped by bandits and he goes, “c’mon, this goes against all drugging etiquette.”
he gets the same looks from nuru, yong, and hugo, and he just sighs and says once more, “inside joke”
when hugos betrayal is revealed, varian says, through his tears, “if i had a silver piece for everytime a green eyed blond betrayed me, i would have two pieces!” before darting into the library
hugo kinda wants to cry. yong is crying. nuru is healthily in between. its Fine
