Obsidian - Tumblr Posts
After some time Iron opened his eyes, standing and stretching, cracking his back. He felt re-energized, as he often did after his sessions. Looking around a bit a lone figure caught his eye, a tall figure off in the distance. From the looks of it, a unicorn, kneeling, maybe praying at one of the numerous headstones. Something about this figure struck him, so he began to walk.
As he got close the features began to come together, dark coat, a unique horn, this figure reminded him off somepony. As he drew closer it hit him, Obsidian. Roland had mention the Kirin some time ago. A nice fellow, ran a jewelry store. He’d done an expedition some time ago that Roland had been involved in. He moved closer and when he was near enough called out.
“Scuse me mate, don’t mean to interrupt, but you wouldn’t be Obsidian would you?” he asked, careful not to be rude. The kirin looked up, standing and rising to his full height, his slitted eyes and vibrant orange iris revealing his identity to Iron. Obsidian nodded before speaking. “I am Obsidian, and who might you be?” he asked, curious about the uniformed pony.
“Name’s Iron, I believe you know a friend of mine, stallion goes by the name Roland.” Iron explains. “He told me a bit about you and I noticed ya, figured I’d introduce myself.” he adds. Obsidian looks at him a moment before smiling a bit. “Roland, yes, he was very helpful. I believe he mentioned you, your his CO correct?”
Iron chuckles a bit, shaking his head. “Not quite, I was his superior when he still served with the bureau, but he’s a free agent now. I do hope he didn’t say anything to bad about me.” he continues. Obsidian smiles and shakes his head. “No no, nothing bad, though he did mention you drinking him under the table.” he says, smiling more. “It’s a pleasure to meet you either way Iron Hooves.” Obsidian says, offering a hand.
Iron takes it, grasping firmly, delivering a hearty, friendly shake. “Nice to meet you, just call me Iron.” he states. The kirin nods. “Might I ask, to what do I owe the pleasure Iron?” Obsidian asks, curious about the circumstances of their meeting.
Iron sighs. “Visiting family, needed to think, find answers, and they help me clear my mind.” he explains. Obsidian seems to understand and nods. “I know the feeling.” he says, motioning to the headstone, “My grandmother. I visit often, so I never forget her, or the wonderful times we had.” he says, a hint of nostalgia sneaking into his voice. “And then there are my friends, the ones who’ve passed.” he adds, motioning to another area.
Iron nods in understanding. “Know that feeling, ya stop by, pay’em a visit, fill’em in on current events.” he says with a slight chuckle. “Well, it was a pleasure meeting ya Obsidian, if ya ever need anything, the Bureau is here to help. And whaddya say we get together sometime, get a drink. My treat.” Iron suggests, smiling. Obsidian smiles and nods. “It would be my pleasure sir, and I hope you find the answers you seek.” Obsidian muses, shaking Iron’s had once more before Iron trots off.
As Iron walks through the cemetery he thinks about the encounter and smiles. “Guess this day wasn’t all bad after all.” he thinks, smiling as he heads home in higher spirits.
“And this will keep it full for a while longer~” he opens to door to the home they built with his magic, letting the gravid snake-mare go in first.
“I added a few more blankets to the nest, it got a bit chilly last night.” he motions to the pile of material they use instead of a traditional bed. It’s rather silly, but he finds it more comfortable.

"And they'll be just as beautiful as their mother." he kisses her on the lips for a few scant moments that feel a perfect eternity.
"Wish we could bring someone by to help though, even with the reading I've been doing the whole birth thing is intimidating."

“Well, whenever she gets here is fine, I’ll take any help.” he rises to his hooves to go over and stoke the fireplace a bit more.

For Obsidian! He wanted beefy, so beefy he gets. I don’t do much beefcake so this was a fun little exercise.

Obsidian: 3 wishes, hmm? First I think I’d wish to be able to take a culinary tour of the world. Second I’d wish for enough disposable income that I could comfortable give to all the good causes I want to support. Third, I’d wish that all those in power would grow a sense of decency and measure of respect for those affected by their actions.
