I think the saddest part about Fox shooting Fives, is that Fives would forgive him.
All Foxes brothers hate him and what he did, never speaking to him let alone forgive him.
But Fives would forgive him.
He understands that to some, duty and orders is all there is. He forgave Dogma, even though he almost had everyone killed, he forgave him.
No one else may understand or get it, but when Fox and Fives meet again when they’re in Manda, Fives would forgive.
Because that’s who Fives is. Risking it all for brothers he never knew, saving lives of those who don’t even care, loving those who he has, and caring for those in need.
The whole of the 501st May hate Fox, he may hate himself, but Fives forgives.
I feel like we need to appreciate Thire more, so this is for you buddy (other commanders are mentioned bc they have to be)
Thire is 9 at the start of the clone wars and quickly rises the ranks
He is very temperamental but has developed a certain patience that makes him seem calm
He is fact not calm and has a short fuse; he just bottles it up and will make your life a living hell through mild annoyances
Think of a robber who steals your tv remotes batteries, except he steals all the batteries in the house and makes buying any more batteries horrible and trying experience
Many GAR commanders are afraid of him and those that aren’t should be
Of the commanders group he is the ‘angry asshole’
Fox is ‘tired/bitch/rude asshole’, thorn is the ‘nice asshole’, hound is ‘obnoxious asshole’, and stone is ‘quiet/creepy (he stares a lot to convey his displeasure) asshole’
Thire is in charge of Senator escorts, specializing with off world missions. He works closest to Thorn who oversees the senate and the least with Stone (oversees the prison)
He has the most contact with the Jedi and somehow became Yoda’s favorite, getting specific requests for him
He has mixed feelings bc Yoda’s not bad company but he’s used as a sort of chair the whole time?
Since he’s the youngest, the others are very protective of him and this does annoy him but he loves with it
Make no mistake, Thire will easily commit murder
Stones face is all kinds of messed up, he’s missing a cheek on his left side exposing the teeth from a mad Trandosian during a riot turned mass escape attempt (they failed)
He keeps his head shaved because of the patchy growth around scars
He’s got so many scratch marks and chunks missing from things like that
This also applies to the rest of the Prison Guard, they are the most scarred group of corries
The prison has ARC troopers on staff constantly to discourage (they have taken down many a prisoner and use unconvential weapons to do it) riots and escapes
Though they rotate, ARC Trooper Whip is the only ARC who is a permanent fixture
Like his name suggests, he uses whips and is *incredibly* skilled with them, they are also electro whips (he can control whether they use electricity or not)
Hound is very bad with people and is the kind of person who can like perfectly understand animals
Thire has a mean streak and finds scaring newbies and visitors incredibly hilarious
His favorite massif is Runt (an exotic breed that’s twice the size of a normal massif (about 6’ standing on his hind legs)) and twwith the handler Trigger (has a height defect, being 2.5 in smaller than standard)
Both are pretty chill and Runt is especially lazy so they are free to get his victims the most
Runt looks scary as his spines are much longer and sharper, with an extra row of teeth and darker skin
This includes using sleeping ARF and massiffs to do so. He did this by getting his victim to wake up an ARF trooper. However, they often sleep with massifs. Often with their spines toward outside for defense and the person against the wall to watch for enemies. If they smell you first, they will bite your hand. So, Thire watches as deep and angry growl comes from the darkness and the shriek that comes from his victim.
Thire has a problem with the CSF often coming in on MP matters or dumping non MP matters onto them
Once a bomb went off incredibly close to 79s, a hole was put in the wall and several were injured. A Guard Clone duo was blasted through the wall and the medics who had been drinking were pulled away into keeping them alive
CSF shows up and is like ‘not important, blah blah’. Everyone is obvi pissed and eventually Thire arrives to deal with it
He just straight up says ‘you’re impeding an military investigation of a terrorist bombing. Move or you will be arrested and criminal charges will be pressed.’

The ‘Evil’ Triplets of the Coruscant Guard
One of the few sets of triplets born from kamino, they’re chances of survival were slim but they had survived
Their scores were high and were deployed six months into the clone wars at age 10
The triplets were separated from their other batchmates, however this didn’t bother them and they only needed each other
The first and eldest was Sound (Hear no evil), he loved to sit and listen to anything around him. He was fascinated by ambient sounds his hearing was greatly above average, and he used this to his advantage
He would listen to anyone speak for hours and would be so happy with sound, he hardly spoke at all but everyone knew he listened and understood
The second and middle triplet was Sight. He loves to watch the world around him, all the views and colors made him joyful in the darkest of times.
His sight was greatly above average and he could read any vod like an open book, even those he’d never met. His eyes were blue as the ocean and clear as day
The third and youngest was Shout. He loved to tells stories and speak to his vod, lifting any from the darkest nightmare into the lavish worlds he painted with his words.
He can’t keep count of how many times he’s talked down vod and distracted them from the harshness of the world.
One patrol in the lower levels sent the three of them down, they had done it before and had been disillusioned to the hatred boiling in Coruscant
Despite their fear, they went down
As they were heading back, they were stopped by civilians, they seemed kind and friendly so they endeavored to help them
By the time backup arrived, the damage had been done. They would be reassigned to a permanent, less physical position.
Sound had been rendered deaf as his eardrums were ruptured. Sight’s eyes were taken, for their lovely color and clarity. Shouts vocal chords damaged beyond repair, unable to speak a word.
Their depression lead to their deaths at their own hands
Now the Triplets remain, a cautionary tale
Hear No Evil
See No Evil
Speak No Evil
Freaks of the Corscant Guard Part One
Slick in the CG:
So obvi Fox saves Slick from decommissioning and is like ‘u work for me or die’
Slick chooses life and is like ‘what’s needed’
Fox doesn’t trust slick like at all, so he is forced to wear a shock collar and has a tracker implanted that’s attached to his intestines (slick doesn’t know where it is only that it’s there)
Slick essentially does Fox’s dirty work and he doesn’t mind, fox isn’t a bad boss at all
Slick becomes a part of the ‘crazies’ squad which is made up of a Psychopath (psycho), a sociopath (socio), a narcissist (narc), a pathological liar (false), and a serial arsonist who burned several natborns (burn)
All of them have trackers in them (diff locations) but burn is the only one who has a collar as well
Slick does enjoy these partners and their craziness
Psycho and socio are the only ones who’ve left the planet and worked with other squads
Fox has gotten them to cooperate by making the squads in question ‘their’ pets
Despite what that means, Socio and Psycho like their pets happy and healthy so completing the mission and keeping them all alive is perfect for their pets
Socio prefers to be alone so often solo missions on Coruscant that are off the books
Psycho enjoys working with new pets and has actually been able to keep one
On an off world mission, Psycho was given charge of a squad with the 41st
It went bad and Psycho was only able to save one pet (he was very upset at his pets being taken), a shiny that survived
The shiny (that Psycho named Baby) had asked for a transfer after the mission and Neyo decided to just let Fox have him
After all, if Baby liked Psycho and wanted to be his vod’ika, there must be something really wrong with Baby
Psycho was absolutely delighted to have a permanent pet! Usually, he kept pets for the length of the mission and then satiated with solo off the books missions on Coruscant
Psycho wanted nothing more than his pet to be happy and healthy, otherwise he’d look like a bad ori’vod and Baby would become a broken toy (no one likes a broke toy)
Baby (under Stone’s command) is given similar shifts as Psycho, well he has the same break times and days off. Otherwise he’s in the prison
Narc hates Baby, as Baby takes away attention from him (as Baby is something new and taking all of Psychos attention)
Narc ends up tormenting Baby when Psycho isn’t around which Psycho catches on too
Baby, who now sees Psycho as a safe place, ends up developing a dependency on Psycho that’s extreme when he’s not on shift
When he’s working, he’s fine, but when he’s free, he’s attached to psycho like a tumor
Slick likes Baby and attempts to get Fox to stop Narc (bc he’s not getting involved in that, no way) and leaves it at that
False gets along very well with Narc, as he is a great liar and has no problem inflating Narc’s ego
False mostly does info handling and spec ops, as he’s a great liar and it’s practically impossible to tell what’s the truth and a lie
It’s not hard for commanders to get the truth from him though, as False is entirely trustworthy and normal besides his lying
The problems only came when troopers stopped trusting him, not understanding that False pathologically lies when the information either doesn’t matter (so he’s lie through entire conversations) or he’s deflecting (captured and asked for info) but when it comes to commanders and brothers lives on the line, he’ll be truthful
Burn is surprisingly the odd ball of the group, as he gets along with everyone and no one
He’s likable enough but he has a habit of going absolutely psychotic around fires and sometimes he just wants to watch something burn
Sergeant Hound hcs:
He got his name before Grizzer appeared in his life
He was trained as a scout trooper on Kamino and was the top of the class, setting several records that are still intact
His name was given by the Mandalorian training him because once he was on the trail, he wouldn't lose it similar to a Bloodhound
Though he is seen as the least serious of the Coruscant Guard Commanders and loves to makes jokes, annoying the other commanders, and gossips with Quinlan when he finds the Jedi in a dumpster
He can be very serious and dedicated when the time calls for it
He is a CC and hasn't been promoted because of his behavior, and the fact that he would be much less effective as the head scout
He is often present in meetings and gives his opinions on matters
Nevertheless, his first job is tracking and Massiff Handling/breeding
He also monitors the other animals in his care, though he often leaves those responibilities to the animals handlers
He, similar to Thire and Stone, go off world often to escort senators and to assist other battalions
However, being the best Massiff handler in the whole GAR and the best tracker by himself, he is often taken by different GAR battalions/legions with Grizzer and other handlers to track criminals stuck on a world
Grizzer is a chaser, tracking people on the go and attacking/catching them
She can also do detect certain drugs however this skill is not often used
Massiffs are big and Grizzer is larger than average. When on her four legs, she’s at hip height, when standing she’s about as tall as a clone
She is a very good girl who always listens to Hound, bets are off tho if anyone else tries to handle her (she’s picky)
Tho massiff are classified as one of those dog breeds thats very loving and protective of family but can be dangerous to strangers, think like a Cane Corso or Neapolitan Mastiff
It is not uncommon to see massiff and handlers sleeping together, even less uncommon for them to be roaming their barracks off leash
The ARF troopers have separate barracks close to the kennels so it isn't a stretch for them to sleep with their massiffs
Massiffs get along pretty well with the other animals but prefer to be left alone, especially with the younger animals
During the 'winter' months of Coruscant some of the animals have coats if needed and the Narglatch, Blizzard, gets a cooler kennel during the summer
The Kiffu Spark Dragons (coming from the tropical regions of Kiffu) have to gets lots of water for their scales to keep their flex and strength
All the animals wear harnesses and leashes of some sort but they aren't necessary, they're trained to respond to all commands and are very skilled
The animals don’t entirely like the GAR troopers, since they smell like blaster fire and grime (usually associated with their chases)
It doesn’t help that their handlers scent has unease in it
They tolerate the Marines because their handlers don’t smell of unease while talking and they usually have treats for their handlers
The animals are okay with Jedi, though they don’t like Anakin much
Command Clone Currency
The clones are unpaid and therefore broke. They can’t really pay each other to do things since they have no money so they go for a new currency: favors
Now, the CTs don’t really do it the same as the Commanders because they have to be specific. They can’t return a favor between battalions quickly, due to fighting/locations/schedule. They’re at the whim of the war and pick and choose their repayment time.
The Comanders are different. They trade and barter like crazy. It’s favors with a few cases of alcohol. They can trade favors they are owed to others all the time, so anyone can cash it. They can pull the strings to get their payment quick.
For example, Cody needed a save from a small squad. He knew Delta was on planet doing some mission and he needed a detour but he had no connection or favor. However, Fox (for some reason) did. Cody offered a case of spotchka and a favor Monnk owed in return for having Delta do the detour. Delta owed fox one less favor, Cody owed no favors (which is the best outcome, since Fox WILL cash it) and Fox got something on Monnk and free (very expensive) spotchka.
Few CTs knew they did it this way, and the CT captains such as Rex and Keeli had to quickly adapt to this way of thinking. Rex made the mistake of owing Bacara before anyone told him. Keeli was lucky enough to meet the SpecOps CC Blackout, who clued him in on the difference but left him high and dry when it came to implementing his knowledge. (Keeli ended up owing Blackout two mini guns for his ‘friendly advice’)
Though, when times are tough and there is little time to barter, it is common to put off the payment until after the act is completed. Though many hate doing this as the trading can become unfair. What often happens is the party in need already has a deal prepared and states their need and their payment, it is hardly ever contested (however the helper may tack on another fee which is accepted or denied).
For example, Doom needed backup from Jet’s flame troopers. He quickly called, stated his need, and his payment of a case of charges. Jet had found the payment (though correct in price, unpractical for his squad) and changed it to half a case of fuel (easier for Doom to get a hold of and just as useful as charges to a Demolition team). Doom accepted the terms and Jet’s squad arrived right on time.
Though the bartering is mostly physical, many deal in the intangible. Perfect examples are all of the Coruscant Guard and the Special Operations teams. These are the only two groups who has everyone (including CT shinies) in on this system. They have the least to offer when it comes to normal ops, after all what GAR commander needs to know where a random Senator is going to be at what time or who slept with who. However, this trading info is perfect for the Guard who constantly works with/against (yay embezzlement and blackmail) these same Senators and for the SpecOps who need to know political climates and interpersonal relationships for recon and assassinations.
Most trading goes on between those two, and their prices are often higher since the missions are higher stake. Often Commando Squads are up for bids (who doesn’t want a four man 100% mission completion rate squad in their pocket), blackmail on natborn officers, republic secrets, senators schedules, crime syndicates favor and areas of interest, etc.
For the Guard, their trading goes further. They work with crime syndicates to keep it off the streets while keeping profit up. Those who do not work with them, go down. They’ve gain control of the lower 2000 levels through this and those who do not conform are forced to by the Guard or the citizens of the lower levels who don’t want to deal with the Guard, (peer pressure and bullying at its finest.)
The commanders learned this from watching the Cuy’val Dar, who would often trade on Kamino. The Alphas picked it up and used it but the CCs truly made it valuable beyond belief. The trainers traded for free shifts and booze, the CCs traded for mission successes and heavy artillery.
Many CTs attempt to learn how this system works. However, as few know it’s different, even fewer see the affects; those that do, know well enough to leave it be.
Despite there being no real difference in intelligence between the CCs and CTs, witnessing the speed and weight of the trades, makes even the Jedi’s head spin.
The Padawans are one of the few outsiders to see it in action. They do not really like it, but many pick it up for lesser trades (help with this paper or answers for this homework). Cal Kestis surprisingly picks it up the best. He’s the youngest so very impressionable, eager to learn, his CC Commander Steel, is very good at it, and Steel is possibly the only one to teach their General’s Padawan.
Steel sees that Cal isn’t going to be on the field much (Steel agrees with this and makes sure he stays on the Venator). So, if Cal ever needs help, he knows how to get it. Steel has made him be present for several trades and even made him come up with theoretical ones. Cal becomes very good at it, but is unable to flex his skills much due to the other Padawans unable to match his speed or skill. They are several years older, see it as in-Jedi like or are bad at it (or their Captains are bad at it and can’t teach them well), their concept of value is off (Jedi don’t often put a price on things and those that do have a habit of underselling due to being nice), and/or they do not know the range of what can be traded.
It’s very personal, with different Commanders wanting different things. Knowing who wants what can often make the payment cheaper for the offering party.
For example, the Marines often need heavy snow gear and blankets. So, offering a box of heating blankets in return for a case of bacta and blaster packs. This is a much better deal than offering a case of mini guns for the bacta and blaster packs. In the second case, Bacara may say no the mini guns or want a case of something else along with the mini guns.
Maintence/Engineering Clones Headcanons
maintence and engineering go hand in hand, since they can do both and clones are exclusive to one or the other
types of maintenance clones: shuttle (includes fighters and smaller carriers that are on a Venator), starship, armor, artillery
It’s pretty easy to tell what they do but it’s one of the most complex and difficult jobs in the GAR
Shuttle crews work exclusively on shuttles, all day every day
Maintenance includes reloading the weapons, taking apart and cleaning the laser canons/guns, checking the wires for fraying, cleaning the windows, engine repair, etc
Though, deep maintenance such as engine and gun cleaning only happens during transport to other battles as those take a lot of time
Shuttle crews can take apart and put together any ship blindfolded
During quick maintenance, windows are cleaned, systems are given a quick diagnostic check, and guns are checked for debris before they are let loose
These crews can go from 3 (for single fighters like Y wings) to 15 (larger carriers)
Starship maintenance crews are the largest and the most diverse in their jobs
They work in shifts for cleaning as that never truly stops, but otherwise assigned to one area of the ship
Starship category is broken down into subsections: engines, reactors, systems, cannons, general
The engines crew are mostly active on repair trips or leaves. Their job is to make sure the engines work in top shape
This includes checking fuel usage and stuff like that
However it also includes cleaning the engines, hanging from lines at the top and hanging hundreds of feet above the ground
The engines are lined with a coating keeping the metal from melting, this needs to be reapplied every so often so they painstakingly coat the engines from top to bottom
They also have to check the pilot flame that starts the engines by climbing in and cleaning by hand
The engine crews are the most insane and chill, they hang in the air for eight or more hours listening to music or chatting while applying coatings and checking for rust
The reactor crew works just with the reactors that power the engines
While this seems that it should be apart of the engine, it’s best to be kept separate as the job is just as extensive but much more complicated
Reactor crews lift off the metal covering the tech and check every line and wire for fraying or shorting out
The systems crew deals with life support, navigation, and weapons systems
Their job is similar to the reactor crews, checking wires, electrical outputs, things like that
Though unlike reactor crews and engine crews, they don’t stop working while in space
At the end of every 24 hour rotation they go through the navigation systems to fully update the storage chips
If something shorts out or glitches, they are the ones to call, similar to an IT department (just incredibly skilled and specialized)
Cannons crew, while sounding like a simple job, is just as complex as the others
They don’t just deal with the cannons, any weapon attached to the starship is their responsibility
They work at the same time as the engine crews, while the ship is docked and under repair
They take off the barrels, clean and oil them, reattach, and put them back online. Do this more than 100x and you’ve got a canon crew
They also work on the cannons that are in the hangers. Those barrels cannot be detached so they use long cleaning pipes that extend and clear the grooves inside the barrel
To make sure the weapon is clear, they fire a blank under the watch of the artillery crew
The final crew for starships are the general crew
This crew is made up of the engine and cannon crews while in space
They take care of any damage the ship takes while in battle
They check on the water and sewage pipes that run throughout the ship, they keep the halls clean and make sure the overall structure of the ship is able to handle cannons firing, shuttles and fighters mount and going, and people running through the ship without collapsing on itself
The final two maintenance crews are different as they aren’t limited to the starship crew or shuttles but are a mix of both
Armor crews keep the clones armor in top shape and clean, they repair armor and get replacements as needed
They work on HUD and any built in systems of the clone trooper armor
However, they also work on ship armament. If a shuttles armor is severly weakened, they have to fix it (or make it useable until they get to a proper repair dock)
Artillery is similar but more extensive
If it’s fired or needed ammunition, they take care of it
From blaster packs to torpedos, they maintain it and have it in stock
They mostly deal with larger weapons such as the cannons (both on board and those that are to be taken into battle) and the shots for the AT-TE.
Though, many specialize in certain weaponry such as bombs, attached artillery (cannons on AT-TE, shuttles, fighters, and starships), loner (rocket launchers, grenades, blaster packs, and mini guns)
Though these groups are diverse and often work together to fully arm and prepare any one thing.
An AT-TE doesn’t just require torpedos and the like, it’s crew need blasters, they’ll transport rockets to troops
All maintenance are pretty chill dudes and will happily tell you about their job if asked
They don’t take kindly to taunting or degrading and will make your life hell
They wear an outfit features a heavy duty helmet full of padding for comfort, built in ear muffs and comms, and an extra visor that can be flipped down used during welding. They wear a heavy undersuit (that most cut the lower arms off of) that extends to just under the chin for full coverage. Over it is a usually stained plain shirt with an added pouch for hydration packs and snacks, and heavy padded full arm coveralls that have built in leg/kneepads/elbow pads. Their belt is a toolbelt with lots of pouches for anything they need. On their arm, a band signifies rank. Finally thick heavy gloves that go over the overalls for a tight seal.
They can also add on the safety gear needed for grappling down in engines.
Most wear the upper portion of the coveralls tied around their waist because that shit is wayyy to hot.
While off duty, they just wear the shirt and some of their lighter work coveralls with the arms rolled up
They tend to get made fun of a lot because they do keep the ship clean like a janitor most times they are seen
But, if you need a secret hiding hole, a camera blind spot, a quick fix for your stuff, or a place to crash, they’re the ones to go to
Many who work with younger Jedi teach them how to repair their clothing and tech, though they’ve never gotten a look inside the lightsaber (no matter how they’ve tried)
Sometimes they are assigned to mind younglings during off hours or really harsh battle
Sports I think Clones would compete in for the Olympics:
Clones grew up with competition, if you couldn’t take it you’d be miserable so everyone has a good sense of sportsmanship and they aren’t sore losers
Volleyball (indoor and beach)
Working together with quick reflexes and coordination speaks to them, in the seven players of indoors to the duo on the beach
Rugby (very popular for heavy gunner troopers)
Team sports plus using your whole body to hit people is a perfect match
Gymnastics
Idk the idea that some of them got into doing the fun flips and quickly progressed, favoring the bars, vault, and floor
Boxing
Judo
Wrestling
Do I need to explain these? They’re already love fighting, just specify the type
Archery (snipers especially)
Shooting
Very similar to their military work, friendly competition and lower stakes make for a fun time
Weightlifting
I could see some guys enjoying the challenge of heavier weights, pushing their bodies to the max
Surfing
Idk, feel like it wouldn’t be popular, but those that do it would have a blast
Equestrian (ARF troopers mostly)
ARF troopers were trained with live mounts, they loved that. Working with an animal all day and becoming a team.
They’d probably enjoy jumping the most but I can see dressage being popular as well
Ice Hockey
Fast pace, dangerous, relying on a team, fierce competition, yet still requires skill and precision
Swimming
Scuba troopers mostly, their training is Kamino, a pool is way easier and more relaxing. Keeps the fun competition with others and good atmosphere
Sport Climbing
Scaling cliff sides was already fun during training, some take it further and compete. Enjoying the view at the top with friendly competition is a blast
BMX Racing
Mountain Cycling
Shooting down a rough mountain with jumps, sharp turns, and mud galore is an adrenaline rush on its own. Add a time limit and you’ve got a wild ride!
I adore this!! Escpecially considering during the Cline Wars, they would have to adapt their knowledge to the many things they would have to deal with on campaigns.
Not only that, but the addition of the clones is super fun! These clones don’t really ah e a standard for what *regular* people act like so all of the weird Jedi-isms are completely normal to them.
They’d pick up some accents and words from their Jedi, maybe the commanders even pick up some habits. We’ve already seen how a Jedi can influence the strategy and attitude of their own battalions, see 501st vs 212th, so it’s entirely possible they also pick up some of the cultural rules that each Jedi chooses to participate in.
That, combined with the mash of the clones own ‘culture’ (I say it like that because there is barely anything about that part of them other than they have it in some degree) and mannerisms would create a whole new subculture. They’d maybe mash up the languages from their Jedi and some of their butchered Mando’a. Meshing the rules and ideas of the Jedi with their own soldier training from Kamino
a non-comprehensive list of my favourite jedi hcs to play around with
cause i just don’t get tired of these mfs!
i’ve mentioned this one before but: education at the temple differs greatly from a western school system. students aren’t graded and there’s no use for exams. there are sets of standard classes so everyone gets a good foundation in languages, history & politics, maths and sciences, plus practical learning - we know every jedi on active duty is expected to be able to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on their ships and other tech - but younglings tend to run through these fairly quickly. beyond that, classes are based purely on the jedi’s interests and goals, and are basically treated as a particularly involved hobby. 10 yr old initiates and 90 yr old masters can easily be found in the same class. a padawan might choose to rip through four advanced math courses in a year just cause it’s fun, or they might take one or two, and either is fine. learning is very much a lifelong process in the temple, there’s no need to rush.
(as a result, many jedi end up being top-tier experts in their favourite subjects. schools invite them to lecture all over the galaxy. sometimes a 16 yr old will show up, but by god they do know their quantum mechanics.)
the service corps! of course we know that obi-wan was pretty disappointed to be sent to the agricorps, but i think this is kinda more reflective of his own self esteem issues than it is of the order’s predominant attitudes. it makes more sense to me that the agricorps, educorps, explorcorps and medcorps would be equally respected to active knights (this is stated in canon but not rly explored), and would actually be the destination of choice for many initiates. plenty of people aren’t cut out for a job that could potentially bring you into deadly conflict, and plenty aren’t interested in trying it.
(a bit of canon, to flesh out the corps: members of the corps are part of the order and are considered jedi. jedi may voluntarily join or leave the corps, and it seems common for the service corps to form connections with non-jedi intergalactic research associations. i’d really like to see more of them!)
my god the cultural exchange in the temple must be insane! not only do you have hundreds of species living under the same roof, many bringing with them traditions from their homeworlds, but you’ve also got the underlying thousands of years of culture completely unique to jedi! i imagine you could walk through the temple and pick out bits of etiquette or architecture or sayings that originated on one world and eventually became so integrated that everyone knows and uses them.
speaking of etiquette:
jedi tend to come across as Odd to non-jedi because they’re raised with concepts of politeness that are influenced by the fact that they’ve got essentially an extra sense. uninvited touch is a no-no because it can be overwhelming for the partially-trained younglings and their varying ability to sense others’ emotions, especially if the recipient happens to be psychometric; this makes a bow the default greeting between strangers rather than a handshake or similar. after boundaries have been established it’s totally fine and normal for jedi to hug, hold hands, sleep in piles, etc., although they tend to act more reserved on missions as a sign of professionalism.
another common source of culture shock between young jedi and your average coruscanti is their differing understandings of authority. a master is believed to learn as much from their padawan as the padawan does from their master, and this mutual respect is applied all the way from younglings to council members. a whole lot of jedi culture is based on learning and teaching relationships, therefore displays of respect and politeness are not dependent on the rank of the people involved, they’re offered by default. for a young initiate on a field trip (city trip?), bowing to a senator and not receiving a bow or head dip in return is definitely cause to get huffy.
openness is really important if you’re gonna support a kid as they grow up and learn how to manage their relationship with the force. openness is also every young kid’s specialty. more than one unintentionally rude senator has received a pointed comment from a three-foot tall jedi.
communal living! jedi are raised in groups and have many mentors over the course of their lives, and i imagine that mindset never really leaves. their predominant social norms and taboos are pretty different from the rest of coruscant. physical contact is not tied to romantic or sexual interest in and of itself. canonically, they’re taught not to place any undue weight on their appearance or modesty, so nudity isn’t uncommon or inappropriate. people have bodies and that’s just how things be. in the wise words of @agoddamn i have never seen motherfuckers with more communal bathing energy in my life.
relatedly, because they’re raised by such an immense variety of people with lifetimes of travel under their belts, younglings’ language acquisition must be batshit crazy. i firmly believe that most jedi grow up speaking a wild mashup of galactic standard, dai bendu, whatever they’ve learned from their birth family if they were old enough, and the favourite languages of their crèchemasters. as they get a bit older they might be taught common trade languages alongside galactic standard, dai bendu, a sign language, and whatever else they choose to learn. as padawans and knights, they might continue to pick up languages for missions.
(this concept is hinted at a lot in canon and i LOVE it. many jedi we meet are explicitly multilingual. if a jedi isn’t physically capable of speaking galactic standard - wookiees and ithorians, for example - there’s a really good chance they’ll be understood. we even get to see this in the ilum arc - conversations in the padawan group happen in three different languages at once!)
accents?? also gotta be wild. how did this human padawan end up speaking mostly with a ryl accent? well their favourite crèchemaster’s master did a long mission on ryloth and never really lost the accent. you’ll get lineages where not a single member sounds alike - a bit like yoda vs dooku vs rael, qui-gon and obi-wan vs anakin and ahsoka!
this is so long. i just think they’re really cool :,)

During transport and some missions, Asvisor will wear his dress grays which are actually pitch black so Admirals can distinguish commando squad advisors from the other regular clones (though most have no idea what the black means, just that it is different)
Few of the GAR know about advisors at all and those who do are very high up commanders (when I say GAR, this includes ARC, CTs, regular CCs, literally anyone but the Commandos and the Advisors)
Advisors often work with multiple squads at one time, though their missions usually don’t overlap (ie, two different missions at the same time, not two squads on the same mission)
In the beginning of the war, it was common for multiple squads in the same planet working together and the command center to be very active with Advisors working maps, intel, and avoiding the GAR
The more dangerous missions occur right before or lead to a campaign and no one is the wiser, though its about equal between those that happen before and those that happen during
In one instance, Delta squad was on a LAAT/i heading toward their ship and saw an LAAT/i heading toward the planet carrying troops
The commandos themselves have small ports on them to inject bacta into for damage and internal stress
All that’s needed is to lock a small container of bacta into the port with a click and it auto injects
There is one port per arm and one port on the upper and lower leg, then two on the front and back of their chest below the ribs
These ports are meant for long missions with little rest time, injections are saved until enough damage is accumulated or one major injury
These are inputted at standard age 2 and they all put completely out and given a week recovery before the ports can be used
All commandos have basic medical training, however there are a few specially trained medic commandos that stick to one squad and partner with others for missions
Walon Vau, while a very strict and harsh teacher, did care about Delta squad in his own way
This care continued into the instruction of the Delta squad Advisor CC-01/425
The Advisor program came along about a year after the Commando project began, however they took CC cadets with low physical score and high intelligence and processing to be the candidates
These cadets had essentially no continued combat training since age 2, with only one day a week reserved for it (half day of blasters and half day of sparring)
The rest of the days would be full of strategy, team management, intelligence collecting, map reading, etc. everything they’d need to lead a squad from an ship in orbit safe and sound
(They were never really safe and sound. They were the squads almost guide and half guy in the chair with a smidge of leader and decision maker, any and all failure in any compacity fell to them. Squad failure=their failure and just as harsh of punishment. Death)
Each Mandalorian in charge of a squad would teach a class for the advisors. Though with the amount of mandalorians, only the ones with top ranking squads would get to teach
Walon would often pass up to teach Delta, but a training accident that left three squads out of commission for a week left him and Mird restless
He decided to watch some of these advisors and CC-01/425 caught his eye
He had a look of defiance and a ‘take no shit’ attitude that was perfect for his squad
During that week, Vau rearranged the training system so each day included 3 hours of physical training as well as their full day
During these three hours, Vau had the Deltas study on their own while he took CC-01/425 for personal training
In the beginning, these three hours were spent playing strategy games and gambling, sabaac was a key game. Gambling games were used to teach how to read others who show little and how to weigh risks
He also taught him how to command and care for Mird, since Vau wanted him to learn that responsiblity (also he would get Mird if anything happened to him)
Eventually, these changed into sparring and language studies (ie, mando'a), and taught him a lot of the mandalorian customs that he taught the Deltas (so CC-01/425 could understand how the Deltas think/act and to be competable with them)
Though Vau taught CC-01/425 with the purpose of advising the Deltas, he kept them separate and did not tell them about each other (he does care for CC-01/425 just as much as the Deltas)
This choice was because he cared for CC-01/425, since if CC-01/425 bonded with them as children, his judgments would change based on his past experiences
Keeping them separate kept him unbaised and able to be brutally honest and strict with the Deltas while on missions
The only time they've interacted is on a training mission, which ended in success for the Deltas and the highest score of all the commando groups
Due to Vau's want to prepare CC-01/425 for the Deltas, he modified the Advisors training track, overall improving the quality of troopers; with their intelligence and strategy matching the command track CCs (CCs specialize in large scale attacks, Advisors specialize in small strike teams and stealth missions)
One Advisor can operate and strategize for -at most- 3 Commando Squads before another needs to step in. However, if all the squads are on the same mission, the number rises to 5 squads since the commands go to each squad instead of every member of a squad
There has been a few instances where Advisors have helped/guided GAR troopers on stealth missions. Though the Advisors are referred to a different titles (depending on the mission) and they have never truly made contact with the men they were helping
GAR troopers rarely work with Commandos, due to the animosity between the groups (especially the ARC troopers). During those times, Commando squads will defer to their Advisor rather than the ranking officer, even if the officer is a nat-born
Delta has drawn the short end of the stick the most and often find themselves working around the GAR, keeping their mission secret
There were a few training sessions were the CCs would work a Commando squad, these would often end in longer mission times and lower success rates
Vau often enjoyed watching these sessions and would have CC-01/425 analyze what the CCs were doing wrong to improve his strategies
Vau would also take Delta to watch other Commando squads training sessions to see how different squads act during a mission. He would also have them watch CTs completing sims to see the difference in techniques and approaches
Though, Vau doesn't let them interact with the non-Mandalorian trainers. This is not because of anything about them but rather Vau knows from experience that the trainers care little for improving the individual troopers but just that their numbers are met
Vau is particular with who his troopers interact with (trainer wise), not letting them interact with trainers such as Dred Priest. Despite this strictness, Delta works with Skirata's Commandos very often and will let the Nulls teach the Deltas when he goes to train with CC-01/425
The Commando barracks are on a completely separate building on Kamino with their own sim and training areas for them to learn without the distractions of the CTs and other CCs, though the Advisors are kept on the same building as the Commandos
I'm already on a part 2, who knew Tumblr had a character limit?
Post War Clone Careers
Some of them bc I’m full of ideas:
Up first, personal trainer
While they may not know much, they know how to stay fit and mostly healthy. Many who are very sociable and extroverted take up this career as a chance to help others better themselves
Some of these clones, while not personal trainers, have taken to vlogs of their workout routines.
Many started this to keep up a challenge with brothers but it ended up becoming for everyone
Different type of clones posted different workouts and routines for their speciality
Stuntmen:
You’re perfectly training for fighting and taking a hit. Stuntman is the way to go for some of the more adrenaline junkie clones that gave up fighting but wanted action
While they don’t stunt double often, when a character is faceless and in need of some badass moves, a clone is the way to go
They became quite popular with many directors wanting their expertise and experience not only on the stunts but also the realism of some plot points
One clone even managed to become a stunt coordinator and worked with many famous directors
Another clone took to vlogging bts of his days and how stunts were done
Many of the Scuba Battalion worked in Aquariums or Scuba tours on different planets. Though most stayed with the Jedi and worked on escorts on water worlds
Vlogging:
While most clones used vlogging to record for their brothers while building a new life, some were able to do it full time
A group of the Coruscant Guard were forced to retire after the war and had to look for work. These four decided to live together in an apartment
One, Jax, wanted to film his journey building his life. He looked for jobs, made dinner, bonded with his brothers, etc
He gained lots of support and his roommates were happy to be filmed.
There was Jax, Marker, Deadshot, and Sunshine. Jax remained the main clone but all were featured and were able to find jobs and Jax pursued vlogging and ended up streaming as well
Another Coruscant Guard was still in active duty, Runt (an exotic breed of massiff) and Trigger were the main focus
Since they were active, they mostly did fun trick videos and information
Once a week they post two videos. One of funny moments of Runt either interacting with civvies or being his dorky huge self. And another of chase moments, petty theives, small time tracking, and crowd control. These are voiced over and the commands for Runt are edited out
In the Scuba Battalion, a trooper named Jellee who’s still active, records different water worlds and his surroundings. Often providing information of the species he sees through his audio. Other troopers wave and help record.
He has a collection of pretty rocks and sea glass
Food!:
The troopers never got real food in the army so they try all different sorts when they can
Three troopers, Seville, Mort, and Risk, document their new experiences
Whether they end up eating the whole meal or gaggin halfway through, their goal is to try every for and flavor combination!
From pickled meats, exotic fruits, animal guts, odd pastries, or the finest of sweet treats
Once they get popular and do it full time, many fans send them foods to try, ranging from recipes to snacks
The trio will also go on trips to different planets and learn to make the food
They end up getting to spend a week trying food on Mandalorian with some of the Royal chefs
They have to take public transport for the first time and vlog the whole experience
‘How bad could it be?’
The transport is 5 hours late, and they left after three (the trip was supposed to be at 10 pm)
They go ‘we can fly our own damn plane!’ And borrow one from the jedi and fly themselves
Turns out the spice tolerance is genetically transferred and they are able to enjoy all the spice!
Kit Fisto's Scuba Troopers
Lets go! (halfway through this became OC time)
Monnk was reconditioned once when he was 3 standard because Dred Priest was trying to get at the Mandalorian training Monnk (they were basically father and son, the Mandalorian giving Monnk his name and his sea dragon on his armor)
He was a very playful and joyful child until the reconditioning, the old personality is still there but is rarely shown anymore
After Monnks reconditioning, he didn't remember how to do anything so all of his fellow CCs and Scuba troopers retaught him so he doesn't fall behind, thanks to them he wasn't decommisioned
Kit Fisto had an incredibly hard time reading Monnk at first, feeling a blank wall in the Force but flickers of brightness
Kit's playful attitude when off duty helped bring out some of Monnk's old personality and Monnk will now crack smiles and make the occasional joke
Kit finds out abut the reconditioning after a hard battle that ended with Monnk in the bacta tank and it was marked in his file
The Scuba Troopers mostly take after Monnk's old personalility, being very playful and pranks are common in the Acclimator
Though, they can get serious very quickly and they are masters at fighting underwater
They have an extra set of armor, they underwater gear, while also having to maintain their snow, sand, and regular gear
Their CMO, Plague, known for treating infections and his harsh and constant anger. Do not make him mad or play any pranks in his Medbay. He is apart of the scariest batch of medics to come out of Kamino
He has/can/will scream at his patients (including generals)
(These include Sacrifice of the 104th, Agony of the Corries, Reaper of the Marine Corps, and Suffering of the 327th. They were one of the first batches of medics and the original Mandalorian Trainer was very hands on. Their attitude comes from her, she adores them the most.)
When meeting his batch, Plague is much more chill and can be seen smiling
If you want to get on his good side, you get one chance (your first visit that isnt the standard 'this is the medbay, i'm here to help')
If you come in on your own and are honest about what happened he will treat you nicely (no screaming, just silent treating of injuries)
If you had to be dragged in, complain, down play your injuries, don't say all of them, try to worm out, make excuses, lie about why you're there, kiss his ass (not so much but this is usually accompanied by any previous thing on this list), or he finds you before you come to him, you've lost and no longer get his good graces
so far, only one shiny has his good graces and is absolutely his favorite
Cancer was a fresh off Kamino shiny who was quiet and clearly uncomfortable with his batchmates being in another battalion. He came in two weeks after picking him up with a freshly bleeding slice in his face from where he fell in the mess and cut himself of a bench corner
He was warned against going to the med bay but went alone, Plague found something in his chest when they met (affection?) and was taken in by the shiny apologizing and explaining what happened. Cancer made no fuss and listened very well, when Plague checked on him in a week, his injury was gone!
Cancer made Plague speechless and ten minutes later Cancer was changed to a medic track with a new Ori'vod
Cancer excelled in the medic track and quickly took after Plague, however he didn't have his anger instead doing the "you're dissapointing me, i thought you were better than that" mixed with baby sad eyes which is somehow worse
Originally his name was Fungus (dubbed by others), because he grew on Plague quickly. Plague offered the name Cancer to which the newly dubbed Cancer hugged Plague
Plague moved Cancer to his room, since as CMO he gets private quarters
Cancer is completely aware of the favoritism and totally takes advantage (he may be a shiny, but Plague has taught him to guilt trip so hard.)
Plague has introduced Cancer to his batch and they adore him, Cancer became the most untouchable clone in the whole army
Due to the nature of their battalion, the medics can fix simple injuries and surgeries underwater and their belts have cloth loops to slide medical tools into
The ARCs can't wear their kamas or pauldrons underwater so their armor is painted to mimic the shapes of them, made up of swirls or wavy lines, their normal gear does have kamas and pauldrons
Kit is very bad at picking who to make ARCs because if he had his way, everyone would get the training
To make up for this, the ARCs teach much of what they learn to the regular troopers, though they are all rather adept at adapting to fit the situation
It is common for Kit’s ship to be covered in shells, dead coral, animal bones, and shiny rocks
All of the troopers have some love for the water and the species in them and after the war, many choose to become marine scientists, dive instructors, or underwater cinematographers
Why you don't prank the Guard commanders
Since they are almost constantly tired and at the end of their rope, anything could set them over the edge and no one wants that
not only that but they will usually react very strongly because of their extenuating circumstances and it is often blown out of proportions
HOWEVER, the other battalions don't know that and just want to help their brothers have fun! what's wrong with that
THIRE:
Thire got off a three day mission with General Yoda that ends up with Thire covered in some giant monsters stomach fluids and snot
He had to sit in it for a ten hour ride back and is humilated, with Yoda attempting to comfort him which only makes it worse
On his way back to the HQ, some troopers from the 104th decided to hit a guard with fake slime, a funny little prank
When Thire is at the end of his rope, he goes for violence
Thire waltzes into the mess, calls out whoever pranked him, and proceeded to dress them down, chew them up, and spit them out in front of everyone in the entire mess (made up of a few battalions and some Padawan Commanders)
It boiled down to 'you morons, i will kill you, you tiny roaches are nothing to me and i will throw you in the trash compactor like the disgusting garbage you are' with much more colorful and degrading language thrown in
Many now fear Thire and Wolffe outright refuses to work with the man out of fear
STONE:
Stone had just stopped three prison riots, captured two escapees from said riots, updated the entire security system, and hadn't slept because of the previous items for four days
Some men from Kit Fisto's SCUBA battalion thought it would be funny to hide some of Stone's stuff that was in his office (ie, datapads, pens, etc) and moved his stuff three inches to any side
Stone, who usually just jumped onto the coach in his office with the lights off, missed the middle and went to far up and smacked his nose on the wooden arm of the couch and cracked a tooth
This was not a fun way to cap the last four days
He found the troopers and filled their SCUBA tubes with spiders for them to find when they shipped out. Too bad the spiders crawled onto their faces on the ship and not in the water :(
THORN:
Thorn had been assissting senators for three full days with only 5 hours of sleep while standing throughout meetings
He had been ready to sleep and was heading to his last meeting with General Kenobi and some of his troopers present
Wooley and Longshot decided to lighten the mood by setting their voice coders to a different language and telling him he was going crazy
They also removed the nonslip pads from the couch and it slid out from underneath him
This may not have been bad at all but after three days, every little thing is annoying as shit and exhausting
After that meeting, Thorn decides to take revenge
Thorn is a believer in you get what you give so he does something harmless
relatively harmless
He sneaks onto the 212th barracks on the ship and places a speaker into the vents of the barracks, above Wooley and Longshots bunks (as close as he could get, the sound reverbs so everyone is pretty mad about this prank)
Every so often, in random intervals (no more than 4 hours, no less than 1 hours) a beep would sound, not too loud but loud enough to be annoying after 2 days
At night, it gets louder and more frequent and quieter during the day
Many troopers lose sleep over finding the thing (Thorn literally unscrewed wall panels to hide it), its been 3 weeks and they arrive at their new battle field in a week
Four days before their arrival, as the speaker is about to die, in the middle of the night, the speaker goes to full volume and shouts 'THIS IS COMMANDER THORN. I MAY BE THE CAUSE OF YOUR SLEEPLESSNESS BUT LONGSHOT AND WOOLEY STARTED THIS. I WILL DO IT AGAIN ASSHOLES. THE SPEAKER IS GOING TO DIE SO ENJOY YOUR *TEMPORARY* FREEDOM. HAHHAHAHAHAH-' and then the speaker dies (Thorn hacked the cameras and enjoys playing the screaming arguments and shouts at the speaker during rough days)
Longshot and Wooley never hear the end of it
FOX:
Fox had been going through hell the entire week and he was ready to kill someone, even though his shift wasn't over yet.
Jesse, Fives, and Hardcase had decided to help Fox lighten up by shooting him with silly string throughout the day, switching armor with blank armor to keep hidden
Fox was paranoid and had to be sedated. He eventually tracked down the three and had his revenge not through their own annoyance
At first, he replaced their weapons with modified silly guns that quickly ended, leading them to believe they were free (the whole revenge lasted an hour ish as the three enjoyed playing with the silly string)
Unknown to them, Rex's entire room had been filled with silly string, his blasters, the padding in his matress, the drawers in his dress, the hair wash was liquid silly string, the soap was frozen strong, his pillow, his chair was broken then 'welded' back together with silly string and fell apart when he sat on it, etc.
He kept finding it and it lasted for days, the moment he thought it was over, more string came up. He was paranoid, everything was silly string
When he finally complained to the command chat, Fox told him that Jesse, Hardcase, and Fives caused it and that he overheard them planning it
When Rex punished them, they said they never did anything with silly string but many others saw them spraying each other with the silly string FOX pranked them with so everyone assumed they were messing with the leftovers from Rex's prank. Not only that but they weren't quiet about pranking Fox so everyone thought he was the warm up for Rex.
No matter what they said, Rex didn't believe a word and they were stuck on latrine duty for a whole month
When Rex found out about Fox getting pranked as well, Rex let them get punished by him too
Fox made them clean out all the massiff kennels and play areas, cleaning any stains from the puppies and getting used for bite practice by the adults everyday for their next leave.
Fox came by and watched them everyday, laughing at their misery
HOUND:
Hound loves pranks and jokes and will happily engage and laugh at them
however, the timing has to be right and most don't get that part (only the other ARF troopers know)
Some troopers from the 41st took his bed sheets and pillows and blankets and towels after some of his troopers and Hound ended a four hour chase through the sewers (they didn't know about the chase).
Hound normally would've thought this was hilarious but after spending two hours covered in sewage looking for towels around HQ just to shower, he was pretty mad
After cleaning up and ready for bed, he snuck into the 41st barracks and woke them up with a growling, snarling grizzer leaning over their face and a hand over their mouth.
He whispered, 'don't scream, you touch my shit again, I will end you and everyone you love.'
Rinse and repeat then he sneaks away
Ragnar Time Travel
So, y'know time travel fics were someone gets thrown back and saves everyone. The Ragnar (being a teen at the time of my idea) gets plopped down into the clone wars via magic stuff on one of his ventures as an apprentice to Axe. He'd end up with 104th bc Dad Koon. Ragnar saved a clone, completely on accident while running from something going to kill him, and then trying to salvage the situation.
He partners with the 104th and its adventure time! Ragnar is just amazed at the old tech (in a 'how id you function??' sorta teen way) and incredibly weirded out by the Plo Koon's Jedi-ness.
Ragnar gets along just about as well as he gets along with anyone outside the Tribe (which is fine but kinda quiet and uncomfy). Though, he finds the clones interesting and a few are interested in Mandalorian culture.
He’s totally shocked that they aren’t allowed to be Mandalorian. ‘Uhhhh that’s the whole point??? To be from diff places?? As long as you follow the creed ur a Mando! Wdym they were born from a tube?! That matters????? What kinda Mandalorians are you talking about??’
Anyway, the clones are very happy to have that validation that it’s the Mandos who are wrong. The clones adore Ragnar and Plo Koon makes sure that he is comfortable.
They end up meeting with the 501st for backup and Anakin is more hostile than Plo Koon towards Ragnar (enter Anakin Drama). Ragnar avoids Anakin because the vibes are off with him.
Anyway, Ragnar never mentions his last name bc he didn’t think it mattered and then Anakin goes on a rant about Death Watch and Pre Vizsla and Ragnar is like ‘??? My crazy uncle???’
In the end, Ragnar is like ‘I’m a Vizsla foundlings and my dad is a Vizsla but Pre is a douche bag.’
It’d be even funnier if they somehow ran into him and Ragnar tells him to his face that he thinks Pre is stupid
Anyway, I am all for teen Ragnar having such an attitude but also being a sweetheart.

Making gifs is hard
Well at least you could say you got into to a fight with Fives. Of course excluding the part where you got your ass handed to you.

The last thing you see when you get in a bar fight with Fives at 79s

Tada! School doodle of commander cody! Sorry if it isn't good but im really proud of it 😅

2003 arc trooper! It was actually my first time drawing 2003 clones from reference. (The bottom right is me trying to draw them without reference lol)

Captain fordo doodles! There a bit wonky but I really do like them! Fordo is tired boy lol
