Save Abdulsalam's Father!
Abdulsalam Al-Anqur (found at @aboodanqar20 and @imanfamily2024) and his family have been trapped in Gaza, enduring a genocide for almost a year. Abdulsalam is a husband, and a father to a one year old daughter, Iman. He hopes to evacuate his family to safety in Egypt.
Abdulsalam's goal is even more urgent, as his elderly father, Ahmed Al-Anqur, has been diagnosed with cancer, and requires surgery every 3 months. However, due to the war, being able to get the necessary surgery is extremely unlikely, and far too expensive to afford on their own. Ahmed also needs access to medications which are very hard to obtain in Gaza.
Here are some of the medications Ahmed requires, as well as medical documents Abdulsalam asked me to share.
Right now, Abdulsalam needs funds to care for his family. He needs to purchase food, a good tent to protect against the coming winter cold, and medicine for his father. He also needs to save money so that when the border opens, he and his family can evacuate to Egypt.
The costs for traveling to Egypt are extremely high, and the prices for housing, hospitalization, and housing are massive as well. Abdulsalam needs more money to pay for his father's treatment, but he has only raised a small amount of what he needs.

Hello, I'm Ola, a graduate student from the faculty of science - Al-Azhar University in Gaza Palestine. I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my story. As you reading my message, myself and my family, “my mother, father, three sisters, and my little brother,” are fighting death in northern Gaza and trying to survive under all kinds of suffering including but not limited to fear, instability, and starvation, thirst, and poverty.
For 11 months until now, we have been struggling to get proper food after prices increased by 15 to 20 times, struggling to have clean water for use and drinking. We lacked security and stability as we were forced to evacuate our house and left everything behind.

Warning: Long Post No one reads long texts anymore, but despite everything I've been through with my country, my family, and recently my son, I need to get this off my chest. It's completely unbelievable to me that so many people still don't understand the background of the genocide in Palestine. What kind of journalists or influencers do we have today? Are they too afraid to report and remind their audiences about the real story behind what's happening now? No, it's not just one year of suffering! It's outrageous how the media consistently ignores what Palestinians have been enduring for decades. Have they, or you, even bothered to look at the statistics of how many Palestinians have been killed by Israel since 1948? How many children have been killed? Who holds the responsibility for what's happening now? I often wonder: what if the situation Palestinians face was applied somewhere else? For example, what if, after World War II, the West had decided that all Jews should have a state in the USA—let’s say Chicago—how would the people of Chicago have reacted? Imagine the people there being driven off the land their families had worked for generations, stripped of their rights, and harassed or persecuted if they resisted. Do international laws simply not apply when ### is involved? Do you know that people in Gaza are killed simply for fun? Yes, for fun! Israeli soldiers have been known to shoot women, children, and even animals on the spot, then walk away. Did you feel the wind when those shots were fired? Or was it too far away for you? Do you understand what death means? Good. Do you know why there are so many Palestinians living in different countries, or maybe even right next door to you, even though they smell like hummus, garlic, za'atar, and other traditional foods? Do you know why your neighbors are Palestinian and not Israeli? It's because we've been forced to flee since 1948. Our cities were erased then, and more are still being erased—through violence, through apartheid laws, through genocide, through different methods. Ilan Pappe, an Israeli historian, wrote a book about hundreds of Palestinian cities that were erased to create the Israel you know today. This isn't a war that started a few days ago or even a year ago—this has been going on since at least 1948. More than 45,000 have been killed in Gaza just in the past year alone. 17 000 of them are children, and 13 000 are women. Do you even know what that means? How it feels to lose your children or part of your family? Are you going to tell us how it feels? Do you have no empathy? Is your heart so closed that you can't see the pain around you? Are you really so blind to the suffering of others? How can you ignore these realities? Do you know that the Israeli military has cut off all electricity and completely halted the import of food, water, fuel, and other necessities? There are no hospitals and no medicines left, and 85% of people in Gaza are living in makeshift tents. Yes, tents—but not like the ones you see in movies. These are handmade from plastic scraps. Do you know that my family is suffering from all of this, and I will lose them in this cold weather if you don't act now? Please help us and donate now!

Help Maryams Family Reach Safety
Each day that the occupation continues is another day that Palestinians will need our help and support to see their land and people freed. I know you have seen many posts like this, but please, I ask you to take a moment out of your day to stop and read this one. Yusra and her family need your help. 🙏
Yusra is a mother, and wants to get her and her daughter Maryam out of Gaza and into Egypt to be able to rebuild their lives. Her daughter was doing very well in school and had dreams and wishes for her life. Yusra was working hard, you can see her work in these pictures, to create a stable life for herself and her daughter.
Yusra and Maryam are now forced to live in fear, first fleeing to Yusra's parents' home, then to multiple shelters, and being displaced to Rafah and most recently to Khan Younis. The family has been displaced four times in total, and under conditions where they have limited access to water, food, power, and internet, and while under the threat and fear of bombing and Israeli attacks.
Can you imagine living with no access to basic necessities, while being terrified that you may not see tomorrow? Knowing that your child isn't safe, but being powerless to protect her? What crime have Yusra and Maryam committed? Any human being can recognize this injustice. Let your anger move you to make a difference, and contribute to Yusra's campaign. She worked hard to support her family and provide her daughter with a peaceful childhood, but after October, their hopeful future was stolen from them ... will you help them take it back?

An Update on Reema’s Fundraiser
Reema (@reemagaza) is collecting funds to support her education and her family in Gaza. They’ve been displaced multiple times within Gaza, and Reema herself has suffered from hypotension (low blood pressure) which is life-threatening in the best of situations. In Gaza where medical supplies and clean drinking water is lacking, it’s critical.
Reema is still doing her best to support herself and her family, but the price of necessities in Gaza has skyrocketed. She reached her initial 20k goal, but she increased it to $25k (CAD) for additional help for her family.
Currently, she’s at $20.2k/25k. Donations to her fundraiser have slowed significantly; she goes multiple days and sometimes weeks without a single donation. Today I am telling you my story and I am unable to walk on my feet
Early in the morning my mother asked me to take her to the bathroom and be with her. The bathroom was about 10 meters away from our tent. I was in a hurry because my mother has diabetes and cannot hold her urine. I helped her until she reached the bathroom. Before we reached the bathroom, the ground was wet and the ground was muddy in the camp.
My foot slipped and my mother almost fell, but she was holding on to the bathroom door which was barely fixed and I tried to get up but she couldn't stand on my feet because of the sprain I had caused due to the wet ground from the rain water and I was afraid that my mother would slip with me and something bad would happen to her but God saved her and I called my brothers and they helped me stand and I waited until the medical point opened and they prescribed me the treatment but they didn't have the treatment and they advised me to rest completely please stop this war I am unable to move until I recover from my mother and father so help them please help me support my campaign

while i've shared her campaign before, today i'd like to direct your attention specially towards my friend Amal Ashour (@amalashuor / @moatasim20101010) and her family.
ten months ago, Amal was preparing to receive her master's degree in french language studies as she and her husband joyfully watched their little daughter Maryam grow, learn, and play as she neared her first birthday. now, they have been displaced several times and are barred from returning to their home. instead of happiness and celebration, Maryam turned one amidst unfathomable destruction.
fearing for her daughter and husband and wanting to continue her education, Amal is determined to obtain the funds they need to escape the genocide and provide Maryam with the safe childhood and bright future she deserves. so far, they have raised a little over €12,000 out of the €30,000 necessary for their evacuation, putting the campaign only about €3,000 from halfway to the goal.

I think sometimes ppl forget how real this is- like u would think this is a special effects thing from a horror movie- but it's literally real and the horror is real and ongoing in Palestine. I find my eyes to be one of my most fave traits so to even imagine having your sight and eyes be damaged is so painful. Its horrific.
