Pizza Night - Tumblr Posts
I really look forward to and enjoy pizza night, I can’t imagine why…and I don’t even like pizza!
Perhaps it’s Joao Victor Silva who insists on sharing his pizza/time with me…

Pizza Night Special: Calzones
They turned out a little darker than I intended, and they were a big hassle to put together, but they were tasty!
If you want to do it:
Get Pillsbury pizza dough, pizza sauce, cheese, and whatever toppings you like on pizza. You only need a little bit for each one.
Cut the dough into six pieces.
Put a little sauce in the middle of each one. Add cheese and toppings. I did about 6 pepperonis and like a tablespoon of sausage and cheese.
Fold each one over and use a fork to press the edges together. Don’t worry too much if they don’t stick really well. Mine held up fine.
Bake at 425 for 10-15 minutes. (I did 15 and got them this color, so definitely less time…)
Let them cool for at least 10 minutes after you take them out or you’ll burn your mouth!
Dad really liked these, to the point where he requested them for next week on pizza night, so I will be trying them again! If I learn any more tricks, I will reblog this to let y’all know!
Pizza night week 3! Calzones, take 2. This week I tried Pillsbury Mini Pizza Crusts. They’re basically biscuit dough. I flattened them out and added the filling. They’re pretty good, but I think I like last week’s version better.
The best part of these is the sauce, though. My brother, @paraphernalia-wagon , made homemade tomato sauce for my dad for his birthday! I used that for the sauce in these and it is delicious! Thanks so much, bro! We have half the jar left for next week’s pizza night!
We kept the jar for the label, but put the sauce in a ziploc to freeze it. Thanks again!
(Our dad’s name is Bob, so that’s the joke. He loved it!)
