You were very proud of yourself for not freaking out.
On the day of the pre-recording of the performances for the music show Inkigayo, you and Hoseok were one of the first ones to arrive. Of course all of the other members were right behind you, in separate cars for comfort and safety reasons, but it was still you and Hobi facing the huge wall of reporters and photographers first. You’ve faced their angry camera flashes at the airport a few times, but nothing compared to this.
Today marked BTS’ return to shows like these, it celebrated the success of their newest album, and it was the first –official– red carpet style entrance where you were with them; as yourself, not as a playmate.

But your eyes were already brimming with tears when you walked to the booth of your car so Namjoon and his friends could take their luggages out. You had parked in the underground garage of Incheon Airport, which was hidden and away from prying eyes. The media wasn’t supposed to know Namjoon was going out of the country, but just to be safe you still paid for the fee to be allowed into the lot.
“Thank you for driving us, Yn.” Yong thanked you with a high five after picking his suitcase.

You were already in the meeting room when Sejin arrived, sitting next to Deji. The red haired woman was Hyeon’s right arm, the one who actually finalized all of the contracts between the playmates and clients. So she already knew your fate by the time you arrived, letting you know you had been chosen by all seven. You were half certain three of them might choose you, but got very surprised about the others. Especially since Jungkook hadn’t even met with you yesterday.
“Your contract will be three months long, as a trial, and if all parties are still happy about it, the period will be extended.” HYBE’s lawyer explained, sitting next to Sejin and in front of you. “You will need to be exclusive, so I hope breaking contracts with other idols won’t be a problem.”
You looked at Deji. You didn’t have any idols that demanded as much attention as you could guess a seven member group would, but you still had responsibilities with them.
“I’ll see to it.” Deji said. “It’s not really part of our policy to grant exclusivity, but we hope to be partners with HYBE for many years to come.“
Both men seemed pleased with that.
"Miss Yn will be provided with accommodation and will receive weekly pay.” the layer proceeded. “What you do with them is up to the two- well, to the eight of you, I suppose.”

One thing you learned really fast about HYBE was how they didn’t use green screens or CGI unless they absolutely had to. You had woken up early that day to accompany Bangtan to their pre-recording of the performance that would be aired next saturday, for the ‘The Fact Music Awards’. They would still attend the ceremony, but all of the show’s performances would be recorded previously to the big day.
That way, the artists could enjoy more of the day and celebrate any awards they might have won, and not feel the pressure of having to perform live in front of thousands of people.
Something else you also learned quickly was how the seven boys were extremely perfectionist. They were in the middle of recording the first song of the day, ‘Boy with Luv’ and they were all sitting down for it, which should make it simple enough. But they still asked to redo it if one of them moved too much, or if a note was slightly off on pitch.

Every week in the BTS world was a busy one. But the week before a concert was even more hectic than normal. And with a completely sold out Seoul Olympic Stadium + online streaming tickets, all the staff seemed to do was run around preparing for the big day. Which meant you had to keep quiet so you wouldn’t be in anybody’s way, and the boys were needier than ever.
You couldn’t go one hour without being called by a member. Not that you minded, it was your job after all. It just meant that sometimes it was hard to even take a minute for yourself to drink some water or use the restroom.

Being a playmate for all of three years now you had been to several photoshoots. And yet, you had never seen something as large as the VOGUE & GQ x BTS collaboration. You were in the middle of nowhere, an hour away from Seoul, in a warehouse that had been transformed completely to house several studios and different background spaces for the seven boys to have individual and group shots for the magazines. The whole place was climatized with huge air-con machines so their makeup wouldn’t melt, nor would they be too hot in their winter gear.
The shooting was happening in the third week of October, but the issue would only come out in January, so they needed to be dressed in winter clothing. Their wardrobe was completely made up of LV pieces, top to bottom, and you were sure that the wardrobe room cost more than you could ever save up in your entire life.

You were really excited and had planned on painting your nails on the PTD color scheme, do a face mask, maybe get a hair trim.
But all your plans went down the drain when a very frantic Sejin called you at ten am, asking you to be ready in ten minutes since a car was coming to pick you up. He didn’t give you many details, but told you that you were needed at the hospital. So many scenarios formed in your head that by the time the driver dropped you off in the underground garage of the Asan Medical Center you almost had to be admitted too, suffering from a pending heart attack.

On Monday morning you woke up with the incessant buzzing of your phone on the bedside table. It was a second away from falling onto the floor from how much it was sliding around with all of the notifications blowing up.
You sat down with your heart on your throat, confused as to what in the world could be happening. When you grabbed it and unplugged the charging cable, you tried unlocking it but the notifications were so quick that you didn’t even have the time to press your finger to the screen to unlock it in the first place.
There were a few missed calls, you could see the little icon at the top of the screen, while dozens and dozens of instagram notifications let you know that people were following you and liking your pictures and commenting on them.
But you had no idea why.

The HYBE gym was a place you never thought you would go to. But you made the stupid mistake of asking Namjoon what floor it was on, just in case you ever needed to find one of the boys. The leader mistook your curiosity for interest and proceeded to tell you that you were allowed to use all of the building’s facilities, including the gym. And it escalated to him inviting you for a workout on Friday morning, before dance practice.
So there you were, at eight am, on the last floor of the tall building. While you might have a very lazy nature, you had a lot of fun every time Namjoon dragged you out for a bike ride or a run around the block, so you decided to give it a chance and get excited. Maybe you’d grow some muscles and be able to defend yourself better, since your last attempts had been nothing short of pitiful.

You didn’t like the feeling of running away from the boys, running away from your responsibilities with them, but you needed some time for yourself. You barely had any days off, hadn’t seen your friend since Jimin’s birthday, and now that the members started bickering, you were feeling overwhelmed.
So when you left the dance practice room, you also left HYBE and went home. Not the new home, where the boys could easily find you, but your small apartment owned by Nolichingu.
You texted Sejin with a heartfelt apology, telling him you weren’t feeling so well. To which the manager replied letting you know he had seen you leaving the practice room and that you did look a little pale. He praised you for getting away from the boys, knowing that if you were sick, they couldn’t catch it, so you were responsible for stepping away.

When you made it back to work on Wednesday, the mood was one of excitement in between the staff team. Of course it had nothing to do with your return, although Mina, Heejin and Doyun did say they missed you. But the BTS Seasons Greetings of 2022 had just been announced on monday, a photoshoot that your friends had been a part of. So everyone was happy to see the end results of their hard work.
You weren’t working for them yet, when the photoshoot and filming were done, but you wanted to join them in looking at everything. The production team had a couple of copies of the final version, so the boys could film a review style video to increase the sales even more, so they let you keep one for now so you and the two girls could look at it and gawk at the beauty of the group.

Just like every good thing had to come to an end, it was time for RUN BTS to take a little break. ARMY would miss it, and the boys would miss it, but they had earned a well deserved break.
And to make the last episode of the series memorable, the staff had organized a little remote location so they could play games and enjoy time together.
You were asked to join them, Sejin even joked you should be getting paid more to babysit the seven members and you rebutted that that was already his job. You wouldn’t appear in any of the footage, of course, but could stay with them whenever they had a break.
The day started with the seven being served a nice hefty meal provided by a real chef. As always, it was inhaled quickly, in between laughs and joking around. All in a much more exaggerated level than what you were used to, in order to be entertaining for those who would watch the video later.

One would think that after eight years of doing world tours, four seasons of Bon Voyage and overall traveling as part of the job, the seven members would have a packing system. Or at least that they wouldn’t be running around like headless chickens twelve hours before they were meant to board the plane for the United States.
The situation in the dorm right now was worrying. The staff had just dropped off their seven suitcases so they could be filled up with clothes and whatever else Bangtan planned on bringing with them on a trip.
Now, it wasn’t completely their fault, the fact they were packing in such short notice. Alongside the suitcases, the staff also brought bags and bags of the newest Louis Vuitton collection for them to choose; from clothes, to shoes, to bags. All for them to wear during the trip, as their new ambassadors.
