my poem:
She’s a used car with broken down parts
Take her to 150mph with one touch
Lust is all it takes to start her engine
She’s full of bliss
She’s literally leaking
Beautiful like your favorite mother
S-xy like your favorite teacher
A living day dream
She’s every boy’s wet dream
Black hair like Katy Perry
Face like someone famous you’ve seen
Body so thin and petite
She’s made out to be so mean and picky
Yet all she wants is somebody who kisses her like the world isn’t ending
Making out with boys is her favorite hobby
She collects strays and names them Johnny, Justin and Jamie
She lives a life where she’s the Leading Lady
Healing those in need
Collecting stories and sharing bodies
She never felt heavenly until his body engulfed her being
Everybody’s got a fear
What’s yours?
Failure and sin?
Heights or diving in so deep you can’t see the surface?
Freedom is homeless
With a trust of the other side
Living faithless, inhaling toxic fumes
And pleasing him for a meal to eat
Like a kitty in heat
She’s always on her knees
Pleading, praying and listening
Man-made heavens, we all get lost in them
Death kisses her on the shoulder
Like a sloppy kiss you can’t forget
Fear drives her forward
Mommy didn’t raise no coward
Daddy just didn’t care
Scars are permanent memories
Bruises heal on their own
Her thighs belong to nobody
Just somebody’s roadside attraction
She’s her daddy’s favorite distraction
She’s just another Mattress Actress with a classic american sob story

This is the first part of the poem book I created as my FMP (Final Major Project) of my level 3 Graphic Design course.
The book is called ‘A Poet’s Quarry’, it’s called this because it’s a place that inspiration can be found and extracted. All the poems were written by me through out my life and were finished off for the FMP.
The illustrations that go with the poems were created using mixed media, such as collage, water colour paint, photography, and others. They were first sketched out by hand, then they were edited and coloured in Adobe Photoshop. Some of the illustration also include the latest version of my avatar in them.
The physical book was bound and put together by me by hand.
The book, illustrations, and poems are all created by me.
I didn’t make the fonts.
