She is pain and I can't afford to pay the vet to help her so I'm reaching out to ask for help, I mean even if you can’t help monetarily, reblogging or sharing it would truly mean a lot. She is my daughter’s best friend and she’s all I have left of my mom who passed away last 2021. Hi,am really in need of some help.My wife and I, we have been unemployed for the most two years,we have tried every possible way but we can't find anything, even remote jobs.We have managed to survive practically scraping the ground to see what comes up,as relatives never helped to us,the question is that at the end January my wife begun to present some health problems and I do not have the money to do the tests and analysis,she needs to know what it could be. She has a lot of rashes and a pain in her chest,she can't breastfeed our daughter because of the pain and the worst thing is that our daughter is also starting to show some symptoms. I need some economic collaboration to be able to do her test and to cover some necessary treatments. If can work with them I will be happy to do it,I do not close myself to the opportunity. But I guess I have nothing to loose by asking and requesting this help.

Hi Alina! How does your writing reflect and/or challenge the values you grew up with? These could be anything from cultural, family, and/or personal values and beliefs.

That's a very interesting question! I think my writing, especially my soon-to-be debut book, The Tengu And The Angel, is very reflective of some of the values I hold personally, those being that you don't owe endless love and patience to people who hurt you, even family, and that having a shitty childhood is not an excuse to be shitty to others. Growing up, I knew a lot of kids who were in the foster system, and I learned very early on in life that not everyone has parents who love them, and that I am fortunate to be the child of two loving parents. Nathaniel's character was very much inspired by the foster kids I was friends with as a teenager, the ones who, even though they'd had some good foster carers, felt unloved and unwanted, and that they didn't belong anywhere. Kunio's character came from my mother, who grew up with a horrifically abusive adoptive mother, and a lot of his insecurities as described in the book are inspired by the effects I've seen my mother's abusive childhood have on her. Tama and Layla, Nathaniel and Kunio's best friends, are based on my own mindset; they, like me, are the children of loving parents, and though they sympathise with Kunio and Nathaniel, and they want to help in the ways that they can, they can never truly understand what they've been through, or how deeply their childhoods affect them, even now that they've grown up.

An Ask: What acts as your writing pick-me-up? As in, is there something, maybe a technique or piece of media, that almost always helps to inspire you?

Another very interesting question! It honestly depends on what I'm writing, so, whenever I feel stuck on a WIP, I'll revisit the thing that inspired it, and listen to all of my character playlists for it (I have playlists for all of my MCs). The Tengu And The Angel was partly inspired by Nana, in that I first envisioned it as a realistic drama about adult life and relationships, so whenever I got stuck on it while writing the early stages, I re-watched the entire series. I very much envisioned the story as Nana, but with a happy ending.

Sure thing! Here’s a summary of my WIP, Night Of The Blue Moon:

-Viceroy Steadman, a billionaire who owns the in-universe equivalent of Netflix and Hololive, borrowed power from Hades so that he can bring his comatose son, Brooklyn back from the underworld

-Hades agreed to give him his son back in exchange for him guiding lost souls to the underworld. However, instead of guiding lost souls, Viceroy gets his wife to use the power of a Lampad’s torch to kill people he doesn’t like, and then he guides the souls of the murdered people to the underworld. The murdered souls are unaware that he orchestrated their deaths

-When Hades realises that he’s been tricked by Viceroy, he recruits his titan aunts, Theia and Phoebe, to find people capable of defeating Viceroy, and taking back Hades’ power

-Phoebe foresees the MCs, Ariel and Solana, defeating Viceroy. Phoebe gives her powers to Ariel, an indie game developer, and former police academy trainee, and Theia gives her powers to Solana, a Vtuber known as Akai Starlight

-Ariel gains all of Phoebe’s powers (The ability to see into the future, greatly enhanced speed and strength, and photokinesis), and she chooses the name, ‘Blue Moon’. Solana gains Theia’s powers (Still working on those, but she will get the ability to create very bright, showy attacks), choosing the name ‘Red Sun’ just to match Ariel

-Also Ariel and Solana knew each other before gaining their powers. Both of them volunteer at a homeless shelter every Sunday, and Ariel has a crush on Solana, but thinks that Solana has a crush on Blue Moon, and doesn’t know how to tell Solana that she’s Blue Moon
