Retrograde Planets in the Birth Chart   ☿ ♀︎ ♂ ♃ ♄ ♅ ♆ ♇

People born with natal retrograde planets can spend more time in self reflection, ensuring that the qualities of the sign have been satisfied on a deeper, more spiritual way. Retrograde planets take a backward step and spend longer in the sign and house. As the Earth passes the planet in orbit it appears to go backward. From the point of view of the horoscope, it does move backwards. Psychologically, this means the planet is going to reverse direction and go back over area it has just crossed. 

~ Born with Mercury retrograde: The lessons are repetitive, the individual must learn one thing through many different ways to ensure nothing has been missed. Evasive recall, can become confused with lived memories and dream memories, and frequent deja vu, can be psychic about unknown details in past events

~ Born with Saturn retrograde: There can be conflict between conditioned and societal expectations and the individual’s authentic values, passion, and calling. The work they do in life must have meaning and reflect inner values 

Wrestles with Feelings of inferiority, need for security and safety, weak or absent father figure. May resist reflecting on their lives due to the shame or distress at the perceived lack of achievements 

~ Born with Uranus retrograde:  May prefer to conduct widespread connectivity through seclusive and non-invasive ways such as through internet. Strange and stranger psychic radar - usually has a stronger intuition with people further away than close friends and family

Rebellion against their own selves and the conditions they were born into, Hibernates into a ‘rut’ of the same scene, work, place in periods of autopilot until a lightning desire to change everything hits so hard and fast it’s impossible to deny, suddenly the whole place is static and the mind cannot stand to be in the same surroundings

a few things i noticed and want to share about the mercury retrograde™

(im not a professional so these may be incorrect. i will utilize every piece of constructive criticism anyone may make to better myself after i whine about it in my diary)

1) ive observed that people who have many plantes (3+) natally in retrograde don't get too affected by retrogrades when they happen because they're used to that energy, if that makes sense. plus, i can confirm this myself as i have 4 planets in retrograde in my natal chart (for those who are curious, it's not fun)

2) i assume that we've all heard at some point that you shouldn't sign papers during a mercury retrograde and that's actually true. but have you ever wondered why? ive thought about this and ive come to this conclusion;

mercury rules communication in general, right? and writing is also a form of communication as it's.. well.. words. when mercury is in retrograde communication goes 'bleh' and misunderstandings happen. but another thing is you can misread or misinterpret a paper and sign it without actually understanding what it says. this could make a big mess if one's not careful so.. be careful lol

3) this is just an observation so take it with a grain of salt BUT people who were born during a mercury retrograde sometimes say the same things/apologize over and over again but other than that, they are really fun and easy going, at least in my experience
