omg just rewatched s7 finale and morty was in the background of every scene rick shared with diane. he was THERE. the WHOLE TIME. ofc rick wasn't rlly in the hole. holy shit.
I made this mainly for fun because I like a lot of colors but it turned out somewhat ok

Adult Swim woke up with a start this morning, sweat dripping down its face. Just another nightmare, it told itself, shaking its head as it stood up. Ever since they had cut off Justin Roiland from their work, they had been fearing every waking moment.
But it did not know that today was unlike any other.
The Redditors, ever since they heard the news about Justin, have been in outrage towards Adult Swim. They post and tweet daily in his defence, but their cries go unheard by the company's cruel, cold professionalism. Until now.
Today, a line of Dude-Bro Brothers stood in front of the Adult Swim headquarters. They held up picket signs and chanted together. "We want Justin!" One of the signs read. "Release the Roiland Cut!" They all chanted in a voice-cracking register. But alas, their pleas went unheard. Even as they sobbed to Get Schwifty playing in the background, they were cruelly disregarded at every turn. Even as they performed the Rick Dance from the season 1 finale, they were shunned by the cruel heel of Adult Swim's boots. It looked into the eyes of a child holding up a Solar Opposites sign with "never again" plastered over the face of Korvo, and spat on the ground.
Justin sat across the street, watching the whole thing play out. He was drinking a Bailey's coffee in his oversized sweatshirt. He hated being seen in public like this. Even when he had ordered his usual, the man behind the counter frowned at him.
"It will be okay," he reassured reassuringly. "They have to take you back eventually!"
"I-I don't think th-that I even w-want that," Justin stammered, awkwardly playing with his mug. "Maybe they're better off w-without m-me..." he mumbled, tearing up as he walked to his usual seat at a booth near the window.
When he saw the picket line today, he could scarcely believe his eyes. He wiped away tears, because there was no way, no chance that it would do anything. And these good Redditors people were wasting their time.
It was then when an electronic car came speeding around the corner, pulling into the centre of the picket line and blasting "Rick and Morty" by Soulja Boy on the speakers. The entire crowd cheered. Out of the car stepped out none other than Elon Musk.
He pulled out a bluetooth megaphone and stood on top of his car. "ADULT SWIM!!!!" he yelled. "YOU NEED TO REINSTATE JUSTIN ROILAND IMMEDIATELY! I COMMAND YOU!"
The Redditors all start chanting "Justice for Justin! Justice for Justin!" over and over. Justin can just hear the chanting from the coffee shop he drinks at across the street and he comes running out in a huff. They cheer his arrived, Elon letting him stand on top of the car with him. They hold hands as the chanting continues until finally, out the door walks a figure dressed in black and hunched over.
It's Dan Harmon, with his face covered in tears. He's booed as he steps out onto the street among the picketers and he looks up at Justin and Elon on the car.
Justin jumps off the car, landing in front of dAn Harmon elegantly, facing the man finally.
Suddenly, Dan falls to his knees, broken and sobbing messily.
Justin's heart pangs, but he stares down coldly to hide his feelings.
"PLEASE!" Dan cries out, "Please! Come back! The show has never been the same without you in it!" he lowers his head. "I miss you on set. I'm so sorry for what I did and I need you to stand by me as we fix this - together!"
Justin sighs, kneeling to level with the level that Dan is at. He shakes hius head.
Dan looks at him widely eyed. "W-what do you say? Like old times?"
"Oh, Dan," Justin begins, warmly, "I just wanted to hear you say the word."
His co-creator grins brightly. "S-so you'll come back? And you forgive me?"
"In my heart, I've never left." But then Justin thinks. "But if you're looking for my forgiveness, then I can't. Not ever."
Dan wails, curling up into an inconsolable ball and sobbing into the sidewalk.
Justin stands triumphantly, returning to stand on top of the car with Elon. All the Redditors look at him, awaiting his words and hushing each other.
"I'M BACK BABEYYYYY!" he screams in elation and joy. "REGULAR RICKKK!!!!! WUBBA LUBBA DUB DUB SZECHUAN SAUCEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!"
The crowd erupts in cheer and everyone claps.
Adult Swim's anger causes an earthquake which shakes the entire building, making it collapse and leaving the voice boxes of Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden completely ruined, irreparably. . The Redditors are left unharmed, and they celebrate with tears and mensa tests.
He is back. The king on his throne.
Elon grabs Justin's hand, taking the voice actor by surprise. They look into each other's eyes.
"I knew you could do it," the muskrat whispers, between only the two of them.
Justin released a breath he didn't know he was holding. "I didn't know you knew that," he explained.
"Well, good to know that one of us knows things," Elon quipped.
And the two kiss on top of the tesla in the shadow of the Adult Swim headquarter rubble, their tongues battling for dominance.
SEEING A GHOST // Prime haunting AU Part 1
Finally got some motivation back for this fandom so I thought I'd start by drawing the two of them again.
Over the months, Primes methods of trying to get Ricks attention pretty much narrow down to two ways: Rambling on and on to him in hopes Rick will finally get overstimulated enough to snap at him, and watching him sleep.
So during the day, Rick has to listen to a barrage of unwanted nonsense from his lifelong enemy while doing his best to stay focused on appearing normal to the Smiths and finding a way to get rid of Prime for good. Then when night falls, all he can focus on as he tries to fall asleep is the heavy breathing of the man who killed his first family.
Rick refuses to give Prime the acknowledgement that he's starting to desperately crave, and Prime isn't going to start backing down now. Somethings gotta give.
