If people are always saying that we shouldn’t care about what other people think… Then why do the other people bother to even think about those who don’t care..?

just passed a comment to my grandfather before; i just want you to know that all my decisions are my own, i'm not being influenced or manipulated, i take full accountability for my own choices.

he just nodded.

i left telling him to keep that in mind over the next few months.

Today officially marks 7 haunting and excruciating years since Buck last saw his sister and he doesn’t need to step out of bed to know today is going to be one hell of a day, his 12-hour shift at the fire station looming not far ahead.

Buck doesn’t want to be alone anyway if he’s honest, because then his mind will be stuck in an endless loop of what-ifs and how he could have stopped his sister from walking out the door that morning for school just to never come home again. It would constantly play on repeat the last time he saw her at only 13 years old, how she hugged him goodbye and told him she loved him and would be home to see him off the school bus.

On October 8th, 7 years ago today, Maddie Buckley walked out the front door to her home, and she never returned.

John Everett Millais (1829-1896)"The North-West Passage" (1874)Oil On CanvasPre-RaphaeliteLocated In

John Everett Millais (1829-1896) "The North-West Passage" (1874) Oil on canvas Pre-Raphaelite Located in the Tate Britain, London, England The painting depicts an elderly sailor sitting at a desk, with his daughter seated in a stool beside him. He stares out at the viewer, while she reads from a log-book. On the desk is a large chart depicting complex passageways between incompletely charted islands.

Millais exhibited the painting with the subtitle "It might be done and England should do it", a line imagined to be spoken by the aged sailor. The title and subtitle refer to the repeated failure of British expeditions to find the Northwest Passage, a navigable passageway around the north of the American continent. These expeditions "became synonymous with failure, adversity and death, with men and ships battling against hopeless odds in a frozen wilderness." The search for the northwest passage had been undertaken repeatedly since the voyages of Henry Hudson in the early 17th century. The most significant attempt was the 1845 expedition led by John Franklin, which had disappeared, apparently without trace. Subsequent expeditions had found evidence that Franklin's two ships had become stuck in ice, and that the crews had died over a number of years from various causes, some having made unsuccessful attempts to escape across the ice. These later expeditions were also unable to navigate a route between Canada and the Arctic. Millais had the idea for the painting when a new expedition to explore the passage, the British Arctic Expedition led by George Nares, was being prepared.

Thoughts on “prev tagging”?

Okay so, it's an incredible honor to see "prev tags" about my own tags but when people say that and I have to go through like 15 people's reblogs just to find the object of the prev tag it has me wanting to commit a war crime.

Do the Koopalings know their biological parents (if they do, what were they like)?

Ludwig: Well, are multiple parents died a year after Larry was born. I can't really remember what they were like, being only a toddler, but i just know they weren't around much. We spent alot of time in daycare.

Roy: Then we went to a stupid orphanage.

Ludwig: Yeah.

Roy: We would try to escape countless times. And when we failed we got scolded pretty harshly.

Ludwig: Then we were finally successful!! I was 16 when we left, running away from that awful kingdom and into the mushroom one.

Roy: We were homeless and broke. So we started looking for jobs. Then we found a flyer, requesting minions to help the king of Darkland with his schemes. The pay was great, and it included a place to live, and free food. All we had to do was assist some king with concoring another kingdom!! So we took some tests to see are worth, and we got the medium rank!!

Ldwig: Signed the long yet vague yearly contract. And it was official!

Ludwig: 3 years later, we are now the highest ranked, and Bowsers most feared minions!

Ludwig: we've come a long way.

Roy: yeah.
