Is pebbies the one who leaks ui's state to the public in this au?

hmmmmmmmm that is a good question!! hypothetically there'd be two possibilities: -perhaps pebbles does leak UI's state to the local group, although that would be out of character for him? perhaps something happened between them? i mean at the beginning of the au they're on good terms, even joke around with each other from time to time!! so something would definitely need to happen! -or UI of course accidentally mentions the news themselves? this'll probably prompt everyone to worry and ask a lot of questions, poor UI has no choice but to confirm that they have rot?

Is UI's rot blue like Pebble's is?

ooooo another ask!!! yipeee!!!! UI's rot is dull purple actually!! i hc that rot color depends on the color of the rot's environment! you can see in garbage wastes that the rot is sometimes dull green like it's surroundings. same goes with pebbles rot! it is blue as it's surroundings are also somewhat blue! so i imagine the inside of UI's superstructure is a little more purple!! so the rot would be a hue of purple too!

SO THERES A LOT!!! and this au is a wip! so do please mind that !! but so far i have: -hcs and complete lore for UI's ancients -little silly nice dynamics between UI and the local group! (friendships included!) -why UI is such a little bastard menace (like we see in canon ) -how UI pushed their friend GW away by being a little bastard menace!!!! -how UI got the rot and so far these are it! please please ask about any of these, all of them are kinda lengthy rambles so this is the best i could sum it up with! and i am very glad you anons are liking the au so far!! :D

Can you tell us a bit about UI’s ancients?

ya'll really want UI's ancients lore do ya? XD well i am very glad you asked!!! hmmm where to start i guess i'll start with their religion? since it is a bit different than most ancients! instead of their religion mainly focusing on ascension, their religion actually had a few gods and focused mainly on angels!

they believed that angels were holy beings, and that if you could shed the five primal urges you'd become one after ascension!

they also used to say that echoes are just lost angels!!! although they didn't really follow most of the strict religion like some other ancients did (despite this it was still somewhat dystopian with the ancients) so with angels and echoes in mind, the ancients designed UI and here is a little UI design ramble: they indeed do have the echo symbol on their head!!! and their antenna are made to look like angel wings!!! UI was highly respected among her ancients!!!! most were very nice to them (aside from a few mean ones, but thats always bound to happen if you have such a large colony!) UI adored their little (well, not little, there were a LOT of ancients. BIG colony) silly colony of ancients so when the ancients left, UI was utterly devastated :( i just woke up so sorry if this ramble is very silly sounding!

thinking about how UI gets the rot in Rotten Core AU (which i will probably have to shorten to RC AU when typing since its easier to type) UI is often seen in anti-sliverist groups, they aren't an anti-sliverist themselves, let alone care enough about SoS and how she ascended. the reason they're in multiple anti-sliverist groups is simply because they're bored and starting arguments is fun for them (omg they're such a menace.....) well one time they saw two iterators exchanging a theory document with each other, UI being the nosy bastard decides to secretly intercept the exchange and take a look at what the file contains. it wasn't too interesting, just some theory, not bad enough that its funny but not good enough that its interesting. however they didn't know this file contained malware. they discovered the malware when they lost access to half of their systems. they managed to get rid of the malware yes... but the way they got rid of malware was INCREDIBLY risky, especially when no access to half of your systems. they got rid of the malware, but basically accidentally gave themselves the rot oh the poor bingus..... little thing absolutely panics!!! they do NOT want anyone to know about this! they do NOT want to be pittied and coddled but they also have no clue what to do!!! (kicking this poor bingus with angst rn)

might actually remake some GW lore (especially the mentioned bit of UI pushing them away? i do not think the lore i wrote for them was too in character) anyways GW design for RC au is gonna be drawn soon.... >:)

silly little UI hcs from rc au + miscellaneous notes about them -they're on good terms with pebbles actually! both have a fondness with history, and kind of have the "who knows more history" type rivalry -they like to pull (rather obnoxious) pranks (if you can call it that?) on anonymous groups for laughs and giggles, ussualy this included trying to start fights or just spamming some silly images. often times they do not know when it is time to stop until someone has to tell them that no one thinks its funny anymore. this got them banned from a few sliverist groups -am i supposed to be writing serious lore rn? yes. am i being silly and writing them silly lore instead? also yes. -they will absolutely keep ancient trinkets if you give it to them!!!!! (they miss their ancients smh) (they also like trinkets) -not as mean as cannon i think!! (honestly tho they have almost no cannon lore omg pls video cult tell us more about them!!! why're they so mean and what is their motives?!?!)

how are relationships between moon/pebbs and pebbs/suns in your au? Curious cause pebbies getting rotted is the main driving force of the base story and I'm wondering if they're all still besties while innocence dies in the corner (or something, i dunno)

ooo!!! hmmm so pebbles and moon i guess for now before all of the angst happens (of UI getting the rot) they are on great terms! the average nice older sister and grumpy younger brother dynamic you see often portrayed! however this is not a definite answer as i have only now begun to write pebbles for the RC au! pebbles and suns hmmm interesting question tbh not sure! i do imagine pebbles and suns are great friends, however suns isn't from this local group in this au, so moon might be a bit distrusting, but her little brother is ok, so suns must not be as bad as she fears? she doesn't tell this to pebbles, however she does worry! in general moon worries! a LOT! the consequences of being only admin/senior in your local group! as for sunstone hmm idk! don't think about ships at all, i am more of the "besties and/or found family" dynamics fan!!

OH OH YOU REMINDED ME OF SOMETHING I THINK I THINK UI IS LIKE A MIX OF CRINGEFAIL AND MENACE??!?! like she's really nosy and hyper and very damn mischievous but they also miss their ancients and hold themselves up to REALLY high standards that she simply cannot achieve and it frustrates her to hell (or shall we say rubicon?) and back when even the most simplest of simulations or calculations fails!!!!! like to the point where they have pulled on a wire out of frustration a bit too hard and basically tore it and realized what they had done and just stood there in her chamber like ":(" holding the torn wire 😭😭😭😭😭 it got fixed dw! but they had quite a habit of doing that out of frustration. however they do get help from GW in this au as well, sometime around/between post-rot and pre-rot if i remember correctly????? haven't written out much of this au as it is still a heavy wip idk if this needs a content warning?? is it too dark or is it fine??? :0 so here is a bit of angst!!!!! do keep in mind that due to this au being a wip, the heavy angsty moments might change a few times !!!!!!!

hmmmm mainly with the part of what happens next after UI gets the rot! like what will they do?? :0 will they try to hide away like pebbles did in cannon? will they try to do something about it (and make it worse)? will they ask for guidance ???

idea: they do somewhat what they do in canon, but instead of being a batch they just start panicking in the global chats and all the gossip about it has the exact effect on them thar it had on pebbles

or alternate: pebbles ditches on her in the group chats instead. complete role reversal!

oooooo!!!! hmmm for the first one !!! oh i like the first one!!!! i will most likely use that idea or something similar!!! (rewrite it just a tiny bit to fit into the au, like just explain what happened prior and how it happened, it won't get changed too much if it is even changed at all!) perhaps UI attempts to ask for guidance but due to their panicked state they aren't exactly too rational at the moment and they're just an aheem heem whimper of a mess !!! although how would the information get spread around as a rumor in the first place? would UI themselves be responsible for accidentally spreading it? or did someone else spread the information of UI getting the rot? and if so then how would that happen? :0 as for the second idea, pebbles and UI are on somewhat good terms (although UI does annoy the hell outa pebbles), so something would have to happen for pebbles to act like this (especially since i am mainly keeping his character unchanged and very close to how cannon pebbles acts, so not sure if it will be too in character!) AAAA seriously thank you for the ideas tho!!!!!

long ahh RC au post

Alrighty so attempting to write an outline for RC au now, hopefully it doesn’t sound too sleeby deeby cringefail *note: this is the general outline, it doesn’t include any small misc lore details, however misc small lore details will be provided if i am asked about it/ will be necessary for later contextualization of other lore. intro/general notes: -so this au basically started as a question of “what if UI got the rot instead of pebbles” -i am mainly focusing on UI and GW (and trying to come up with lore for these sillies), the rest of the iterators will mainly not change much and will stick to the cannon pre-SpearMaster campaign lore (basically keep the triple affirmative events and related characters mainly the same as cannon, this includes the local group too as to some extent they are involved with trying to research what happened to SoS and how she ascended) -as mentioned in previous note; this au takes place before SpearMaster’s campaign. -a lot of this au is me trying to make lore for UI (and GW too, but mainly UI), so i am not exactly sure if it is close to the tiny hint of cannon lore we see for UI, however if there will be more updates about UI’s cannon lore, then i will rewrite some parts of this au. -also misc note that i do not know where to put anywhere else. I guess in the beginning of the au’s storyline, UI is on good terms with the local group, however does really annoy their local group sometimes. -oh!!! The triple affirmative had JUST been broadcasted, only about 100-500 cycles ago! (also misc note that i do not know where to put)

storyline: -So this kind of begins with UI trying to find something to do, they’re VERY bored, especially now that everyone has basically abandoned all work to go theorize about SoS’s triple affirmative. Honestly they’re not too interested in the triple affirmative themselves, however they do like to find ‘so bad its funny’ theories, best place to go for these is anti-sliverist groups. -Basically off they went being a nosy little prick, saw two iterators exchanging a theory document, secretly intercepted the exchange to check what this document had. Honestly it wasn’t so bad its funny, but it also wasn’t good either. They just went back to work. -Well guess who realized that they had lost access to A THIRD OF THEIR SYSTEMS (of course it was UI smh shouldn’t have been nosy!), after more inspecting they realize it is malware, not the harmful type but probably annoying to deal with. -And annoying to deal with. They had tried multiple ways to get rid of the malware but none of them worked, they resorted to attempting to rewrite the genomes of their neurons to forcefully kick the malware out of their systems, this is a pretty risky way of getting rid of malware (especially since rewriting or editing genomes is taboo, so you’d have to find a way to bypass the restriction in the code to be able to do this. One wrong move and you’re probably not gonna be doing so good) -Did they get rid of the malware? Yes! Did they also create another new problem for themselves? Also yes! They created the rot :( -They panic for a bit, try to get the rot off but fail miserably. Around this time GW gets rather concerned for UI and tries to ask them if they’re doing alright, however get no answer back. Some others from the local group also try to see what happened to UI, pebbles being their closest neighbor tries to send his overseers to their can after also trying to contact them and failing. He didn’t think it was this bad at first, sometimes UI just pulled silly pranks on the group so he assumed this was another prank gone wrong, however he discovers that they have the rot after sending overseers to their can. He is met with the option of keeping quiet about it (probably what he would’ve wanted too if he was in their situation), or tell the local group to at least get them to stop being so worried (little does he know if he tells the local group the panic will only get worse). -Well uhm!!!! THIS IS REALLY NOT GOOD FOR UI!!!!! THEY HAVE NOTICED PEBBLES’ OVERSEER AT THEIR CAN, AND DESPITE DESTROYING IT, IT DOESN’T ERASE THE FACT THAT HE NOW KNOWS ABOUT THIS TOO. they frantically contact him, asking him not to share this with the rest of the local group so as to not get them even more worried. Pebbles agrees to keeping quiet AS LONG as it doesn’t get worse, however if it does get worse then he will have to do something to help them (as much as they both dislike this. UI doesn’t want the local group knowing (especially GW) about their condition, and pebbles doesn’t wish to put up with UI’s shenanigans since they can get real annoying sometimes) -So far this is where the story leaves off, i will be giving updates about this au once i come up with more lore! So so sorry if this is hard to read or written badly, it is almost midnight! Do please tell me if I made some mistakes here so I can go back and fix them!
