Genteeeee o álbum Right Place, Wrong Person foi lançado essa madrugada e eu estou até sem palavras ou até tenho palavras demais para falar mas não consigo expressar o quanto o Namjoon nos entregou de arte e genialidade. Sério é muito bom ser fã de ARTISTAS como o BTS.

Todos os meninos tem suas particularidades e o Namjoon mostrou a dele muito bem nesse álbum, sua individualidade, seu íntimo e sua sinceridade, o que eu senti ouvindo o álbum é um sentimento de proximidade com o Namjoon, a honestidade das palavras dele foi como se ele tivesse conversando com um amigo e desabafando sobre questões da vida ao qual ele passou e passa.

O MV de LOST! também foi lançado junto ao álbum e apresentou uma arte cinematográfica, coisa de cinema mesmo, o visual, a fotografia merecia um prêmio, a história que o Namjoon nos mostra no MV é complexo mas conseguimos entender que ele está perdido, não só ele, eu ainda não consegui elaborar uma teoria sobre mas esse MV está impecável. A descrição que tivemos da faixa título LOST! diz que essa música é para as pessoas que se sentem perdidos mas que tem os amigos como uma ajuda. Logo no início do MV já começa com um bonequinho escrito "cérebro do Namjoon" e ele num labirinto onde existem mais Namjoon's, como se ele tivesse em várias realidades, o que me fez associar com Come Back To Me, os MV's parecem ter uma ligação com perspectivas diferentes de uma vida.

A descrição que deram ao álbum, algumas horas antes de ser lançado, também dizia que é um álbum onde o Namjoon se questiona sobre sua vida caso ela fosse diferente da que ele tem hoje, é uma conexão entre o Namjoon e o RM, artista, cantor, idol. É como se ele estivesse refletindo sobre como seria sua vida se vivesse outra realidade e é exatamente isso que eu senti quando vi os MV's das músicas lançadas até agora. Senti os questionamento, a confusão, o labirinto para se encontrar, Namjoon soube expressar muito bem, eu consegui sentir tudo o que ele transmitia nas letras.

E falando nas letras, o Namjoon é um compositor maravilhoso, ele está além, ele consegue se expressar plenamente, ele desabafa e transforma em arte, em música, ele compôs todas as músicas do álbum e vimos a sua honestidade nua e crua, ele quis compartilhar conosco todos os sentimentos do seu íntimo, eu me sinto muito grata e privilegiada por ser ARMY e poder viver as obras de artes que ele nos entegra, a inteligência do Namjoon junto com sua genialidade me faz refletir e me identificar com o que ele passa, ele quis nos mostrar sua sinceridade e eu senti também como ele quis passar para as pessoas que ele também é um humano e vivencia muitas experiências que são comuns de um ser humano. Sim, pode parecer óbvio ter que afirmar isso mas com a vida que ele vive, de um artista, idol, a vida que as pessoas impõem nele e a idealização impostas por alguns fãs, se faz necessário ter que reafirmar que ele é um ser humano, que fuma, que transa, que se relaciona com quem quiser, que sofre, que supera e que tem a liberdade de falar e expressar seus sentimentos.

Namjoon sempre foi uma pessoa sincera, nas suas lives e nas suas palavras conhecemos ele ainda melhor e isso é uma das inúmeras qualidades dele, ele sempre coloca sua sinceridade nas suas músicas e em Right Place Wrong Person eu senti como se ele estivesse ainda mais livre para poder falar, para poder expressar tudo o que sente, esse álbum sempre foi um projeto que ele quis lançar, você percebia a euforia dele quando falava desse projeto.

RPWP é um álbum muito importante para o Namjoon, é diferente do seu primeiro álbum Indigo e nos leva a alguns anos atrás na sua primeira mixtape e nas suas músicas antigas, eu sinto que esse álbum é o completo desabafo e uma porta para que ele possa ter ainda mais liberdade em sua vida e eu quero estar aqui para presenciar tudo. Um conselho: prestem atenção nas composições do Namjoon, ele nos fala muito sobre ele mesmo através delas, e assim você pode conhecer ainda mais ele.

Enfim, Right Place Wrong Person só prova o quanto o Namjoon é um ARTISTA que vai escrever e cantar músicas sinceras, que pode causar caos e incômodo em quem projeta a sua vida e crenças nele ou idealiza um Namjoon que ele não é e nunca mostrou ser. Namjoon não está escrevendo músicas para agradar ninguém, ele está compondo e lançando seus sentimentos honestos para ser livre, para que se identifiquem e possam o conhecer melhor, agradando ou não, para ele o que importa é que ele possa ter a liberdade de se expressar.

O Namjoon ultrapassa o termo Kpop, seu álbum é muito além disso, ele está muito a frente dessa indústria e ouvindo Right Place Wrong Person você vai perceber muito bem como ele vê além do que é imposto a alguém como ele, ele tem a alma de artista, transcende. Valorizem muito esse álbum e apreciem a honestidade de Kim Namjoon.

Portanto apoiem seu álbum, escutem com o coração aberto, apreciem seu trabalho impecável, sua genialidade.

ahhh welcome to the bias series of moodboards! i'm using these mostly as an info dump place bc these boys are very special to me and a lot of them have been with me for a long time! bts especially has been with me since i was 15-16 (EIGHT YEARS???) so yeah theyre buried deep in my heart T^T

rm is my bias and always has been, which is pretty rare for me! i usually hop around as i get to know a group but i saw this silly little guy speaking english and i instantly was like 'yeah that one' lol

suga has also always been a huge bias wrecker for me, i just find him so interesting and i relate to him a lot too. he's basically just my second bias at this point but shhh my brain has its systems.

i was going to make some sappy 'i purple you' board for this but really that's not how bts is to me, at least not anymore! i was really inspired by rpwp and d-day aswell as hyyh era. the run mv and the whole vibe of the hyyh album have always been special to me so that's kinda how bts appears in my head (mint yoongi and all).

The first trail of winter is evident under the soft glow of sun. 

Leaves are starting to turn brown, there is a chill in the early morning air, the last remnants of fog are still clinging to the dust. 

But Namjoon can’t feel a thing, neither the chill nor the foggy air. He is not from this world or timeline after all. 

Namjoon sees himself, the younger version, standing at the bus stop waiting for the vehicle to arrive so he can leave for his first class. 

He used to be so sorted out even in his early twenties but that faded with time. 

And then he sees you, the younger version of you. 

Rushing past him you reach where the younger Namjoon is standing currently. 

You look the same - just so beautiful. 

It is the moment that younger Namjoon fell for you. 

It is the moment everything started. 

When he peeks he sees his younger self stealing glances at you. He smiles at the dumbfoundedness of the younger boy, who is very clearly taken aback with your beauty. 

It was the very moment he fell for you. 

But right now he feels like he has been the wrong person in the right place. 

Only if it were someone else, you probably would have been happier than he had ever managed to make you. 

Everything surrounding Namjoon morphes into black and gradually the scene changes. 

Now he finds himself standing inside a wedding hall.

The wedding hall, where he got tied with you. 

There are familiar faces everywhere, some of the faces he missed seeing, some of the faces he hated seeing, and some he never saw properly in the first place. 

Then his eyes fell on your figure.

You look so divine, so gorgeous that he could start crying right away. 

Your gloved hands are held by another younger version of himself, the one that claimed to be your groom. 

He watches as you two take vows one by one, promising for a forever that he failed to keep.

And then the kiss. 

Namjoon recalls he felt like heaven at that moment. 

You felt like heaven to him.  

Just as before, everything starts morphing into a blackhole again. The scene changes and now he is standing inside your shared bedroom. 

The first thing he sees is the sunkissed smooth skin of your naked back, then his eyes drift down towards your hip. His younger self is clutching onto your waist as if his life depends on it. 

The grunts and moans are mixing with the already tensed air and making things even worse. 

He watches you ride the other him, your tits bouncing with every move you make. 

You have always rode him like a pro, making him go nuts. 

You release, triggering his own climax. He spills into you shamelessly.

“I- I love you so much” his younger self confesses to his freshly wedded wife, you. 

“I love you too, Joon.” you reply ardently. 

The scene changes with another rush of black. 

This time he travels to a much recent time, only two years prior to his own timeline. 

You two are now married for five years already. 

The promises of loving each other have started crumbling down under the weight of busy schedules, unspoken truths and the monotonous routine of everyday life. 

The love his younger self confessed of has turned into a habit. 

He sees you waiting. You are sitting on the couch, staring towards the condo door as if you haven't seen him for years. 

Namjoon wishes you could actually see the current version of himself, who is also desperate to reach out to you now. 

But he knows it’s impossible. He doesn’t belong to this timeline. 

The door opens. Another version of himself walks in, clearly tried and irritated. 

“You’re late again.” your voice comes out thinner than the night-time air. 

Younger Namjoon doesn’t give you a single nod and heads straight towards the bedroom. 

He stands there, watching you as tear drops fall from your eyes one by one, roll down on your cheeks and soon turn into a downpour of heavy emotions. 

Namjoon cries too, even when he can’t feel his own tears. He cries with you nonetheless. 

This is the moment, he realized, he became lost for the rest of his lifetime. 

This time the black is mixed with a little white, making things gray. 

When the next scene appears, he finds himself, younger only by a year, sitting at his desk with his head leaned back and eyes closed. 

You stand before him, crying, sobbing, almost begging. 

The scene breaks his heart. But his younger self had been impressively heartless at that time. 

“What do you mean you fell out of love?” you manage to speak in between the sobs. 

“I said what I feel, Y/N. I need a break.” His younger self adds matter-of-fact-ly. 

He hates it.

How could he be so blind? How could he not see what he was doing to you? How the hell did he manage to be such an asshole? 

You break down at his words. 

Namjoon turns his back at the scene. If he stays in this timeline for a second more, he will lose it. 

And as if granting his prayers, the scene changes. The black nothingness gets even lighter this time. 

Is this a sign of approaching the end of seven minutes? 

This time he finds himself alone, the same one as himself, just a few hours prior. 

He is sitting at an overpriced bar, clutching a whisky in his one hand, clutching his phone to his ear with another. 

He is calling you. 

“Come back to me, Y/N. come back to me.” he murmurs into the call. 

If he remembers correctly, you cut the call as soon as he completed his sentence. You were unwilling to let him break you more, which he understands - appreciates. 

Settings morph into a grayish black for one last time. And now he is back where he is supposed to be. 

Namjoon’s soul stands beside the hospital bed, where his dead body is lying cold. 

You are sitting right beside him, crying your eyes out. 

Crying as if your heart has been ripped off and your blood is flowing ceaselessly. 

Research says the human brain stays active for seven minutes after death to replay memories. 

Is it a coincidence that he started his seven minutes with you and ended it with you? 

Probably not because you have been his world, his most precious gain in life. 

Even though he had caused you so much pain, you never truly left. 

And see… you are here to mourn for his unfortunate, premature death. 

Spending his last seven minutes with you is equivalent to going around the world in a day to him. 

And this way Namjoon can bid you goodbye properly, even when you will never get to know about it.

That's my interpretation..

I'll talk about spoilers so read at your own discretion.

To start:

I had forgotten completely that RM already performed it at one of the D-Day last shows.

So I got the experience of hearing it for the first time twice.

I consider that a bonus!

But let's get to the important part:

The day it was released I barely woke up and rushed to watch the video.

We knew it was in Letterbox (it's a movie rating platform, really cool) so the cinematography wasn't really a surprise.

I just checked and they took it out of letterbox 😭

What caught me off guard was the total absence of rapping.

I always rooted for RM to find his singing voice, but that certain part just HITS the spot.

Wow.

And the GENRE?? I wasn't expecting it at all.

It has a bit of folk with the whistle and the talking-singing, along with the chorus sounds very R&B.

Not only he is singing a whole song by himself for the first time, but he is experimenting with the genre too!!!

Hallelujah.

Major indie vibes.

And the lyrics hit me so hard too.

I forgot the hour. I don't wanna know 'bout the hour. I forgot to shower. Even washing my face seems like a waste of time.

In case you don't know, this is depression.

It was very bold and brave of him to talk so openly about it like this, thank you Joonie.

You keep making us proud.

If I ever doubted about the members ability to grow artistically, now I'm a believer.

And the cherry in this amazing cake:

The MV:

It's cinematic, it's moody, it's confusing, it's DIFFERENT.

We see RM going through different scenes where he's role changes with the room he enters.

The colors change, the light changes, the clothes change.

In the beginning we see him in a party looking apathetic.

Disconnected.

A drunk man offers him a cigarette twice and he refuses (which reminds me of that one picture that was posted on Instagram).

We see him walk in and out of rooms looking confused.

In one of the rooms, he is even in a baby bed! Probably my favorite part.

Do you see something familiar?

Eventually he comes across a young woman that seems to be another version of him.

From then on, he looks changed, at ease.

He looks like he's finally the

right person in the right place

A friend having fun at the party.

A husband brushing teeth with his family.

A baby playing with his parents

And a boyfriend talking to a girlfriend.

I think this MV could have a lot of different meanings.

But the feeling like an outsider and running around, the apathetic look, the being misunderstood (in the fight with his girl) and then finally smiling and going back at peace....

It seems like making peace with the past, making peace with the old self.

It's ok to disappoint people sometimes.

The scene as a baby in the crib with the parents, the scene with the angry girlfriend made me think about that. Read expectations and disappointment.

"My kid will be this, my kid will do that"

"You promised this, you lied about that"

It might take time for us to understand life and ourselves, but when we are finally ready for it is liberating.

You don't have to be, you don't have to be the anything you see

He was free to simply be a baby for his parents.

The present is the party, he's thinking about his childhood and past (and future?) relationship but he's not living in the moment, at least he wasn't in the beginning.

I am rewatching Suchwita and RM says that his dream is to live more in the moment:

While interviewing Jin, Suga also brought back a conversation between him and Jin that happened while they were recording the first In The Soup:

Those are obvious things, in theory it's easy to understand. But when it comes to real life it's just different.

Without being careful we get caught up in moments, regrets, feeling overwhelmed.

The girl he meets in the end could represent many things: himself, his inner peace, happiness, army or spring.

As he mentions in the lyrics:

spring always been here, I will sleep in her eyes

That scene represents meeting a good friend, having a laugh, letting the weight off your shoulders.

And I just noticed the sunlight moving in the room representing the passage of time, interesting. That could mean how we lose track of time when with the right people, but it could also mean something else that I don't know.

He might be referencing Army, as spring day is such a loved song in the fandom.

What makes me think he might be talking about army is the lyrics too.

You are my pain, divine.

We know this life, although very beautiful, isn't always easy to BTS.

Along with all the prizes and support comes expectations.

I like to think this could be Namjoon making peace with his love for music, army and fame.

I see you come back to me.

That's what I could think on my own.

The references

I saw armys pointing there were references to the other members in the video:

The video starts in a party with people drinking - Jimin (Like Crazy)

Namjoon is sitting beside a couple kissing - V (Friends)

He enters a room where his girlfriend is mad at him - JK (Seven)

He is in a crib with a snoop plushie - Jhope

And the tangerine - Suga

There was also this theme of doors representing a different reality, and I guess this is very on brand with BTS as their logo represents a door. Yoongi also used a door in his Amygdala MV. The final door he passes also has a purple shine for a second.

All in all, I love the MV.

Once again RM is flexing his sexy brain in his art for our delight.

What can I say?

I loved the show.

But it was sad to finally confirm that Nam hadn't been feeling great for more than a year, yet hopeful to see how making this album (RPWP) was a kind of catharsis for him—a healing, a way of expression…

Listening to him talk about the burden of being the leader of BTS for so many years, feeling that he was not the right person for that role (among other things), wanting to bring out his true self (he is a contradictory person), and at the same time admitting that he needed the necessary distance from the members was a bit heartbreaking. I think many people, like me, will look at his album differently now and understand some of its ups and downs (as he said).

The sensitivity of this moment of Namjoon's emotional baring could only be handled by someone like Jimin, who embodies pure emotional comfort within the band (although thousands of fans still don't get the message).

So no one could have hosted this show better than Jimin, who has always understood and seen his depths and contradictions.

🐨: Jimin isn't just a third party. He's a family member who is always by my side

🐥: He's someone I really need in my life and I hope he'll be by my side for a long time
