VENTI
He was devastated as you gently sobbed, staring at his character in the character menu. He only wished to play you a song to ease the pain you were feeling. Who or what could make a God, no, the creator cry? He was more upset the more he thought of the possibilities of what made you break down.
“I-I…wish you…were with me.”
As those words spilled out of your mouth, all choked out with sobs following each word, Venti could feel a tear roll down his face. Venti pulled out his lyre, doing one of his idle animations in hopes of cheering you up. On his side, he was playing you the most relaxing tune in all of Tevat!
But it was blocked by the code. You could distantly hear it, however, if you listened close enough. You drift off as you focus on the secret melody, leaving Venti with a solemn smile. Seeing your peaceful sleeping face brought the Anemo Archon a sense of calm.
As your screen dimmed due to inactivity, the more he wished to hug and comfort you. He couldn’t wish for anything more than to wipe your tears away and comfort you. He gently slowed the tune as your screen turned off. There was only one thought he had, and whispered out to comfort himself.
“One day, no tears will be shed when I’m with you, my dear god.”

ZHONGLI
He didn’t understand when you just started sobbing when you stared at him in the character menu. He started to panic the more you cried staring at him. Something in him broke the longer he heard you cry. He thought he had did something wrong to hurt you, but that suspicion was broken when you spoke through broken sobs.
“I wish you were with me…”
That’s when his heart shattered. He started to mumble to himself, a mix of comforting words directed at you and words comforting himself. The more you focused on him, the more you could hear him speak outside his code. Out of anger, he did his idle with his little rock spinning around him.
He wished it hit whoever, or whatever, had hurt you. Seeing you cry brought this strong protectiveness over you. Seeing you this fragile was new to him, and the fact that the creator could be sad slightly scared him. He wished for nothing more than to be there to comfort you.
Due to the exhaustion of crying, you started to fall asleep. The more your screened dimmed more and more as you dozed off to sleep, Zhongli could only imagine one thing in his mind. He mumbled it out loud, and you smiled as you could faintly hear it.
“I will protect you soon, there will be no need for you to feel any more tears roll down your pretty cheeks.”

XIAO
The fact that such a higher being such as yourself could cry surprised him. And him not being able to handle human like emotions didn’t help either. He only stared in disbelief and guilt as he couldn’t be there for you. He’s asked those around him what he should do when someone close to him cries, but never thought he needed to try the advice he was given with you.
Your broken sobs did so much to his already aching heart. And hearing you scream into a nearby cushion made him even more angry. He wanted to purge whatever or whoever did this to you. You stared at his character, he was doing his mask idle due to his increasing anger and sadness watching you, which had only increased as you mumbled to him in broken sobs.
“I w-wish y-you were h-here with me.”
His anger only increased, he tried so hard to keep his adeptal energy under control. Nothing could stop his racing mind and what could have happened to you out of playing the game. He wanted nothing more than to keep you safe. Seeing you in this much pain, straining to talk as you sobbed into a cushion, didn’t help his urges.
He calmed down as he saw your sleeping face. You dozed off, and his eyes were stuck on your resting eyes. A wave of peace had cleared his angry head, his fists now relaxing. As your screen dimmed, his voice was faint and soft.
“Nothing will make you cry ever again when I’m around, I swear it.”

EI
Your tears fell as you stared at the Raiden Shogun, the puppet, in the character screen. Sensing your saddened presence, Ei had switched her consciousness to see what that matter was. Her eyes widened as you stared at her with a heavy breath and shaky eyes. She didn’t understand what had gotte you so upset.
Seeing you cry hurt her so much as she stared at you through the puppet’s eyes. Ei wanted nothing more than your happiness to last for eternity. Her electro energy was becoming too much, while her consciousness possessed the puppet you had stared at. Her electro ball animation seemed a lot more aggressive than normal as she heard your screaming voice.
“I wish you were here with me!”
She felt touched at first that you wanted her with you. She wanted you with her too for so long. But your scream made her anger even more prominent. She couldn’t bring herself to look away as you choked back sobs, your breath uneven. The more you calmed down, the more she started to relax.
She saw your exhausted, tear stained face and felt her heart, outside the puppet, long for your embrace. She wanted nothing more than for you to be in her Plane of Euthymia, where no one would ever hurt you. Your soft breaths made her smile as your tears stopped. As the screen dimmed, her soothing voice spoke.
“You will be safe with me soon enough, my dearest creator.”

YAE MIKO
She seemed confused at first as you were stuck on the character menu. But seeing your tears made her quickly understand what was going on. Someone had hurt you, and they needed to be dealt with. Your crying got louder and she couldn’t help her growing anger.
Just as you stuttered out words, a bird had flown to her finger before her very angry fox spirit friend tried to bite it. She may have been smiling, but her anger was bubbling over. Hearing your weak and stuttering voice speak pulled her attention away from her angry fox spirit. She felt so honored to hear those words from you.
“I-I w-wish y-you w-were w-with m-me.”
She had to hold herself back from electrifying everything right there in the menu. She was so focused on who had done this to you, she had started to plot. She wanted to humiliate and hurt those that had disgraced you. No one should be treating a deity of your caliber with such disrespect.
Yae Miko smirked as she saw you shrink and fall asleep on the place you were sitting. The more the screen dimmed, the more her eyes glowed with mischievous intent. She hummed to herself as she plotted the demise of those that made you cry. Her voice was smooth as she hummed her words through her teeth.
“My my, your protection will soon come from the familiar of the Electro Archon my dear god, so please have patience with me~.”

NAHIDA
Nahida wanted to understand why you felt so sad. She was only a baby Archon after all, she looked to you for guidance on human emotions seeing as you had similar ones. But your crying to her had worried her, as she was ill-equipped to help. Nothing in her mind mattered, only you smiling down on her and giving her your happy aura.
She thought of so many ways to try to cheer you up. She did her string to people idle, trying her best to remind you that she is your friend and is there for you. She did what she could, trying to show you how much you were cared for. Her heart broke as she realized her efforts weren’t working.
“I wish you were here with me.”
She smiled up at you, noticing how the tears stained your face. She was so grateful that a deity like you wanted her, even if she was an inexperienced Archon. She had worshiped you greatly, and only wished to see you smile. Her mind wasn’t on those that had hurt you, but on you feeling better at the moment.
Seeing you fall asleep brought a smile to her face. You being asleep brought her hope that she could finally meet you in your dreams and bring you comfort. She looked at your now relaxed face, your screen dimming. Once you had fallen into a calm slumber, her voice spoke in hopes to bring you reassurance in your sleep.
“I promise to protect you in your dreams, so no more tears, oh wise one!”

WANDERER
You were staring at him in the character menu, as tears rolled down your face. It scared him, thoughts of worry and panic, thinking he had done something to displease you. But the more you just stared at him, the more he could tell that it was something else that bothered you. Anger replaced the panic as you started to sob.
He never understood how human emotions worked, and a deity like you having those emotions were new to him. The more your soft sobs caught his ears, the more uncomfortable he felt. He started summoning his anemo ball, doing the start of his idle, but the anemo ball kept getting bigger the longer he held it. The anemo energy then dissipated as he was surprised by your mumbling.
“I wish you…were…here with me…””
He was caught so off guard when you said that. He felt like it wasn’t fair for you to say that out of nowhere, especially when you were this sad. He thought you were joking, you wanting a puppet like him to be with you to help bring you comfort. He looked into your eyes and saw the exhaustion in them.
Seeing you fall asleep in front of him was like a gift. He knew it would help you feel better, but something in him wanted to cuddle you while you drifted off. Anger gripped him once more, how could anyone make you cry was the only thought in his head. Subconsciously, he spoke, hoping you heard him.
“Those lousy vermin don’t deserve you. They will know their place once I’m with you.”

FURINA
Furina never understood how to handle someone crying, especially since she was one to bottle up her emotions and hide them away from others. But seeing you like this made her softly smile, it meant you trusted her to be emotional and raw. The next emotion that came barreling in was anger. Anger at those that had made you so sad.
Her mind raced as she tried to think of a way to cheer you up from the other side. She started holding her water seahorse as she was doing her idle, trying to cheer you up. Her face was left with a shocked expression as she held her water seahorse closer, not ready for you to mumble out to her.
“I wish you were here…with me.”
Those words made her eyes flutter to yours. You wanted her, no one else, her to be with you as you cried. Her ego and stature wad boosted as she straightened her posture. She wanted to reach a hand out to your cheek to stroke your tears away.
Her sense of justice was strong, and she’d bring anyone to justice in your name. Especially if they had made you cry like this. The screen dimmed as she was so focused on your crying state. She was so caught up in her theatric mind, she didn’t notice either you falling asleep and her loud proclamation that you swore you heard.
“I will make laws just to make it so if anything makes you cry, they will have to stand justice in front of the Hydro Archon herself!”

NEUVILLETTE
Neuvillette wasn’t ready for you to stare at him in the character menu with teary eyes. He wasn’t new to tears and sadness, but your sadness was something fresh to him. He wanted to do something about it, wanting to bring those to justice if they had hurt you. Little droplets of rain started to fall around him.
He did his rain idle as his sadness increased, seeing you stuttering through your cries. He was saddened that the one being he looked up to felt so much sadness. There was a guilt as he felt happy that someone as important as you could have vulnerable moments. The surrounding rain in his idle poured harder as you stuttered out something softly in your tears.
“I w-wish you w-were h-here with m-me.”
He couldn’t stop his rain animation after hearing you speak. Your vulnerable voice and stutters made his eyes widen, he couldn’t bring himself to think that you could be this hurt. It worried him as he only wanted to be with you. He wanted to comfort you properly and not from the confines of code and screen that held him.
The rain started to stop as he saw you falling asleep. He understood that you had a raw emotional moment and only thought that sleep was much needed. He thought of ways to bring those that made you cry to trial, not sure how they would get there in the first place, however. The screen dimmed more as he only stared at you.
“Those who made you cry will be judged by the Oratrice itself. So save your tears, my lovely god, for when we can cry together.”

You remind me of them
Characters: Venti, Diluc, Zhongli, Xiao, Ei, Kazuha, Heizou, Wanderer, Kaveh
Summary: Self Aware characters when they look at you long enough to see those that they lost.
Warnings: Death, blood, war
A/U: Self aware genshin AU

VENTI
As you were playing with his character, fighting some hilichurls, you took him to Stormterror’s lair. Venti was used to going there a lot, but today it hurt. He didn’t know why, but there was something odd about looking at the place. You were just exploring the place as you reminisced the start of the game. You had controlled Venti to walk on this one specific bridge, and it had brought tears to his eyes.
It was the very bridge where his friend’s life was taken. What made it worse was you had turned the camera so you could see Venti. You just admired him with these eyes that just made him break down. You couldn’t see him crying, but he couldn’t get the image of his friend out of his head. You reminded him so much of his bard friend.
Venti taking on the appearance of his bard friend didn’t help either. There was so much guilt in just looking at you. Your eyes had the same spark, your smile harbored the same aura. It made his heart ache so much. The more you just stared at him, the more he was choking back sobs. Venti couldn’t just look into your eyes anymore.
A mass amount of guilt of not only not being able to look at you, but taking on and living as his dead friend was too much. The code between his world and the game on your screen was trying to keep hold. Venti’s sadness was slowly showing, and you thought it was a glitch. You grew panicked when the usually smiling bard had a very broken glint in his eyes. You brought a finger to the screen as if trying to wipe a tear away.
“There there, don’t cry! It’ll be okay.”
Your words reached his very sensitive heart. He could feel the warmth of your finger on his cheek as it soothed him. Venti had felt himself being moved outside of Storm Terror’s lair, feeling as though you had heard his mind. You just held a soft smile as you went somewhere else in Mondtstadt to explore. But deep down, Venti had thought you heard his cries, and brought him somewhere else to calm down.

DILUC
You were using Diluc to run around the Dawn Winery doing one of the stupid NPC’s key commission. Diluc couldn’t count on one hand how many times you’ve done this commission, but your kindness in doing it over and over had touched him. Once you had finished, the red head had expected you to rush away to do another commission. However, you didn’t, instead you had walked his character inside the Dawn Winery.
It was an odd thing for you to do for one thing, but you bringing him to his desk was another. You smiled at him and, unknowing to him, his heart ached. You sat his character in the chair and just stared at him. He became uneasy as the silence brought his mind time to wonder. One specific memory that burned in his mind had resurfaced.
His father’s death was something he did not expect to think about. But the more he looked at you, the more he thought of his father. He was reminded of how much he wanted to make his father proud. He looked down at his vision, a remembrance of his dad wanting one. He wasn’t ready for this, for you to see him this vulnerable.
Unbeknownst to him, you could barely see how much he was breaking under your gaze. The code had made sure, or at least did its best, to show you only the resting face on Diluc. But something had caught your eye, as you looked deeper into Diluc’s eyes. You thought it was a trick on your eyes, but you thought you could see tears brimming in his eyes. His eye’s widened as he heard your soft voice speak, feeling your finger touch his cheek through the screen.
“Don’t be sad, I’m so proud of you!”
You saying he was proud of him was too much, as your touch was gentle on his cheek. His body was still, but you moved him out of the chair. He suddenly felt himself jolt up out of the chair. You brought him to a more scenic part of Mondstadt, as his nerves calmed down. Now, however, if he looked deep into your eyes, he could see his father staring at him with a proud smile.

ZHONGLI
Zhongli was great for exploring, and he was honored to help out the all mighty being with the exploration of his land. However, as you were looking for cor lapis, you had the idea for a great scenic moment. Zhongli wasn’t new to you just looking at him in the most scenic areas of Liyue, but today something felt wrong. The more you had him climb up Mt. Aocang, the more the memories flooded back to him. Once at the top, you had him slowly walk through the water to the table in the middle.
He remembered this table well, and the carving on the seat of his dead loved one hurt him. The memories of the war and when he lost her stung so much. The worst part was when you turned the camera to see his face. He looked deep into your eyes and saw his past love Guizhong. You had the same loving gaze as she once did, and it hurt his heart so much.
He adored you, sure, but something about you looking at him just did something to him. He couldn’t look away, being mesmerized by the sadness of the memories. He didn’t want to lose you like he did her, especially with how similar you felt to her. He started to tremble, being so overwhelmed with the thoughts and feelings of Guizhong. The code could only hold so much of Zhongli’s sadness, but you could see his character shake.
His hand was trembling as he sat on the chair that had his old retired name engraved on it. He didn’t think he could have a reaction like this to just a memory that was so long ago. Your gentle gaze didn’t help, especially when you noticed his character shake slightly. You thought it was a bit silly, but you brought your finger to the screen, as if trying to hold his hand. Your voice was something he desperately needed to here.
“It’s alright, I’m here now, so no need for tears.”
He was shocked as you were the one comforting him. Your touch was a much-needed thing as he started to ground himself. You moved him away from the stone table in Mt. Aocang. You had him jump off as he windglided down, loving the view. Still, the thought of your gaze reminding him of his one love was raw in his mind.

XIAO
Xiao felt so happy that the all seeing being had chosen him to go and explore Liyue as you went to complete commissions and do domains. That was until you were wandering around Jeuyun Karst, getting closer to that one place he never had the courage to go. He didn’t understand why, but he trusted you guiding him. That is, until you stopped his character in front of Bosacius’ shrine. He didn’t know what to do, or even how to think about what you were doing.
All these thoughts and memories flooded back to him. This wasn’t a new thing, but it hurt a lot more than usual. There was so much regret in his heart, but it made it worse as you turned to see his face. This made it so much harder to suppress his feelings. Your eyes and your aura reminded him so much of all his Yaksha friends.
He could see all of them in you, and he didn’t know how to react. He felt himself becoming more and more vulnerable by the second. The more he stayed in this place, and the more he stared at you, the worse it felt. His mind rushed with so many thoughts, nothing seemingly able to calm it down. He constantly switched his gaze from the shrine, to you, back to the shrine, and back to you.
Xiao hated feeling like this, especially in front of the great being that ruled all of Teyvat. His anger was more mixed with his sadness, but it caused him to look down. He didn’t want you to see the pain he had in his eyes. Especially since he was in front of Bosacius’ shrine. His anger kept being fuelled by the thoughts of his past Yaksha’s friends, until he heard your voice speak to him.
“Just take some deep breaths. Everything will be okay.”
He felt guilty about you seeing him being so vulnerable. You gave him a soft smile as you slowly brought him away from Bosacius’ shrine in Jeuyun Karst after you left an item. Xiao’s mind was elsewhere as you went to do the rest of your commissions and other needed quests. You had the gaze of all 4 of his Yaksha friends, and it made it hard. But he was going to wait for you to close the game to have a breakdown.

EI
You were using Ei to fight some measly enemies for since character’s ascension. She was so happy to be helping you, and once she felt the puppet on your team, she switched her consciousness. It was all so exciting to her, helping the great deity of Teyvat that watched over them all. She would use this time to gain your favor for Inazuma, to give all the residents your blessing of happiness for all eternity. Her happiness would diminish, however, as soon as you had her stand under a very familiar tree to her.
She didn’t understand why you were taking her here. Did you need something around here? If so, she knew many other places that had what you need, anywhere but here in her mind. Her mind couldn’t let go of the thought of her sister. Being here was something she wasn’t ready for, let alone you taking her here.
When you turned the camera to face her, she just couldn’t take what she saw. You were morphing into her sister, your eyes were a reflection of Makoto. Her eyes widened as she couldn’t look away. There were so many things she wanted to say, she was convinced you were her sister. She tried to switch out of the puppet, but something was keeping her here.
She started to cry as she just stood under the tree. It was a serene scene as the leaves flew down, gently sticking to Ei’s hair. She wanted to scream out in pain, but afraid of what you would do. She was comfortable around you to show weakness, but not this intense form of grief. You caught on to her feelings and gently brought your finger to the screen, as if trying to caress her cheek.
“No no don't cry! I'm sorry, it'll be okay, I promise!”
Your promise made her tears want to flow harder. The feeling of your touch made her feel safe. She couldn't look at you, however, not when you gave her your gentle gaze. Not when she saw the sister she had lost in those eyes. Your touch was so similar to her sister too, and when you logged off for the night, the people of Inazuma had the most intense lightning storm.

KAZUHA
Kazuha felt so happy that you thought of him for mining ore and fighting the enemies that would wonder toward him. There was this smile on his face whenever he used his skill. The cavern you were now at though, was very close to a place he never had visited in a while. That was not after he returned something from that place. The closer you brought his character to that one place, the more anxious he felt.
His eyes went straight around the corner to see the sword, that one sword he wasn’t ready to see again. You stopped his character right in front of his friend’s grave. He didn’t understand what you were doing, and yet he couldn’t find himself to care. All his mind was on was the death of his friend, and the vision that he had placed there. He could only look down at it, not knowing what to do or say.
He started to tremble subconsciously, he could only stare as his mind raced. The scene of his friend’s death played over and over again, he thought he had gotten over this guilt, but it felt fresh to him. He started to cry, and his body started to shake. You had noticed this change, however, as you turned the camera to look at Kazuha. You brought your hand to gently touch his cheek through the screen.
He got startled and looked at you, surprised with what he saw. Your aura, and your gaze, was so much like the friend he was just morning. Your touch on his cheek felt the same too, soft and kind. It made him feel worse, he didn’t even think someone could remind him of his friend. His eyes slowly widened when he heard your soft words.
“I know you’re hurting, but please don’t cry, it’ll be okay.”
Your words brought a whole wave of calm to him, something that also reminded him of his dead friend. Tears still rolled down his cheeks, but they were calmed now. You slowly walked his character away from his dead friend's grave, having him not look back. He felt guilty, sure, but he was grateful that you were such an understanding deity. You were just like his friend, and seeing you every time made him think of the one person he lost.

HEZIOU
Heizou had this cocky smirk on his face as you traveled around the towns of Inazuma through his character. He loved when you chose him over anyone else to explore with. In his mind, he was kicking his feet and screaming into a pillow. That image in his head was then replaced when you stopped on an all too familiar part of the town. He tried to rationalize why you brought him here, what you could possibly need here.
He stared blankly at this one particular spot that he remembered all too well. He gaze wouldn’t break from that one spot, not even your soft rambling to yourself could break his stare. Heizou was all too focused on one particular moment that replayed in his head over and over again. He then made the mistake to see you staring at him with your bright eyes. His whole body stiffened as he saw something in you.
Your eyes were so much like the friend that he lost in that very spot. He couldn’t take it, he couldn’t take you looking at him. He fell to his knees, to which you couldn’t see him do because of the code, and broke down in tears. His mouth was agape in disbelief, not realizing how similar you looked to his dead friend. His entire mind was in denial of the entire situation.
He was shaking his head, trying to get rid of the hysteria of his friend’s dead body that was burned into his mind. The tears fell as he tried not to violently cry in the busy city. He thought of all the ‘what if’ scenarios, what he could have done to save his friend. Your gaze on him didn’t help his busy mind, he tried so hard to avoid looking at you. As you brought your hand to gently touch his face through the screen, he was pulled out of his thoughts.
“My dear, it’ll be okay, there isn’t a need for tears.”
He couldn’t stop the tears that flowed down his cheeks. They watered the street that he stood on in the town of Inazuma. So many bottled feelings from his friend’s death, now slowly flowing out after your words of comfort. You slowly walked him out of the area to a more scenic part, as the waves calmed his nerves. But now all he could see in you was the friend that he had found dead.

WANDERER
Wanderer may not have seemed like it, but he was super happy that you were using him to fly around and find missing chests around the lands. There was some anxiety within him when you entered Inazuma. He hadn’t been there, his homeland, in a while. He wasn’t ready to go back any time soon, but here you were taking him to Inazuma, and to the one place he hated. The one place where he was backstabbed, and lost his stable life that he once had.
He couldn’t ever see himself coming back to this place, to the Tatarasuna Furnace. All the memories, the betrayal, and the abandonment came back to him. He didn’t know why you were doing this to him, you the all mighty creator, taking him to this one place he has forsaken. He couldn’t bring himself to think of his friend, he tried to ignore the flooding thoughts. Nothing made sense in his mind at this point, not understanding why he was here.
You turning the camera to see his face was another thing that deeply confused him. His eyes were looking around frantically, trying to find any reason why you were here. His gaze then settled on your face. Your soft smile was so much like his dead friend. He couldn’t take it, he wanted you to look away from him. Wanderer wanted to cry right then and there, but not wanting you to see him like this.
The tears he tried to force away started to fall. His hands were shaking as he tried to wipe the tears away. He hated feeling this way, feeling these sad emotions. You noticed his shaking character and put your finger to the screen as he felt it on his hand. His eyes widened after your soft voice spoke up.
“Shhh I’m here now, everything will be okay.”
Wanderer didn’t know how to respond to your words. This was so new for him, to have someone he desperately cared for care for him. Especially when that person reminded him of his old friend. He felt grateful for your comfort, but felt guilty that you had to leave Inazuma to go back to Sumeru for his sake. It truly showed that your kindness was so similar with his friend that has long since past.

KAVEH
You were wandering around Sumeru City, trying to do the reputation quests. One had required you to go to into the library of the Akedemiya and you were using Kaveh to complete it. He felt so happy to be useful to you, helping you with these mundane quests. However, going into the library was off to him. Specifically, something about today hurt him a lot to be in that library.
What made him feel worse was when you had him sit at one of the tables. He was supposed to be on his day off from work, and helping you. This only gave him the memories of his family, his mother. You turning the camera to see his face didn’t help him feel any better. He tried to keep his emotion’s down and out of sight, just for your sake.
Your gaze was too much for him. He saw his mother’s soft and loving eyes, and he couldn’t stand it. His eyes started to shake, as tears pricked his red, glossy eyes. His mind was enveloped by memories of his mother, before she left. Tears softly streamed down his cheek, dripping onto the table that he was sitting at.
All of a sudden, he felt your touch through the screen. It was warm and welcoming, something he hasn’t felt for a while. It made his heart ache ever more, not knowing what to do. He didn’t expect that anyone, not even the all seeing god, to give him this kind of comfort. Your loving and comforting gaze was just a reminder of the family that he didn’t have.
“No more tears, you’re doing so well, it’ll be alright.”
Your soft praise reached him, and he could only give you a soft, teary smile. You really were like family to him, and it just hurt so much, even when you gave him comfort. You decided to walk his character out of the Akedemiya, which he was very grateful for. You had brought him to a calmer part in Sumeru so he could calm down. The only thoughts in his head however were how much his family would have loved to meet you.

CHILDE
You staring at Childe through the character screen was off-putting enough for him. But then with tears streaming down your face? That was when he became deeply concerned for you. There was this anger bubbling inside him, he wanted to take it out on those that made you cry. He wanted nothing more than to be there with you to comfort you.
He started to do his idle where his bow shows up, resisting the urge to shoot something around him. You were hyperventilating, the tears overwhelming your eyes. He hated seeing you like this, he wanted to see your smile again. Your broken voice hit his ears as he put his bow away. He stared at you as you muttered to yourself.
“I wish you were with me…”
Your words shattered his heart. He didn’t think that you, an all mighty being, could be so vulnerable. And that fact you were so vulnerable in front of him, call him selfish, but he felt so happy that he was the person you could feel like this with. He just watched you cry, plotting the downfall of those that had harmed you. No one would get away with hurting a god such as yourself.
He calmed down as he saw you drift off to sleep. His eyes were dark with rage, as his gaze from your sleeping figure didn’t break. Your screen dimmed due to inactivity, and his body was stiff. There was only one thing in his mind. And that thought passed through his lips as you could slightly hear him in your sleep.
“Dry your tears, you will have a wonderful place here in the Fatui. You will be protected within the Tsaritsa’s care and mine too.”

LA SIGNORA
You were crying as you had the pause menu open. You thought you could handle this fight against Signoria again. You never liked killing her over and over again, it was too much to your already aching head and heart. She realized you had stopped fighting her, and she saw your crying state. Signoria wanted to go easy on you, hoping you’d just finish this already. She didn’t like fighting you, much like how you didn’t like fighting her.
She felt so upset that someone could have this power over you. Signoria couldn’t even think that you, an all mighty being, could be so vulnerable. She then felt the battle continue, figuring that you decided to push through your sadness. She admired you for the way you would push though. Then the words you screamed out as you continued the fight with her hurt her so much.
“I wish you were with me!
Her anger couldn’t be contained as flames came out of her dress. It was a lot more intense as you tried to beat her. She let you win, however, with one of your best times in her domain. She just hoped it would have made you feel a little better. She saw you exit, feeling so bad as she wished you stayed. She longed for you, and she watched you as you stood outside her domain.
And after you fell asleep, standing outside the domain, AFK she could still see you. She could see your sleeping, tear stained face. It hurt her knowing that not only fighting her made you so sad, but someone outside their world made you sad. She brought a hand up to the window as she just stared at the carrier of your actions. She muttered out to herself, hoping you heard her in your resting state.
“Even in death, I will try my best to protect you, all mighty creator…”

DOTTORE
You had been attached to Dottore ever since he was shown in the manga. He could feel your attachment even before the game released, even before his story in the game was shown. He admired you so much, and he hated that he had to turn everyone in Sumeru against you. His cutscene played, but he was intrigued when he saw you crying. He started to think that you were so hurt by his plot, by how the whole story quest was going.
He wasn’t far away after that cut scene. He stayed around, wanting to make sure you were okay. But he could only hear your sobbing, and he got closer, wanting to comfort you. The more you cried, the more he wanted to see you. The more he wanted you to see him and his comforting gaze, and it hurt him when you stuttered out of your tears.
“I w-wish y-you w-were with m-m-me.”
He found your stuttering crying voice cute, but he wanted to help you so bad. Dottore couldn’t bring himself to accept the fact that someone could make you cry. It hurt him when you said that you needed him when he wasn’t there. He wanted so bad to be with you, to comfort you. His mind went to crazy places.
He noticed you were falling asleep, letting the dialogue pause to let you sleep peacefully. He felt honored to see a god like you, fall asleep and be peaceful. He wanted to kill those that made you sad, made you cry like this. His mind was plotting as the screen dimmed. He muttered to himself, not wanting the others around to notice he was there.
“I will do anything to those that make you cry, wire their brains to worship you like the god you are.”

ARLECCHINO
You were so excited to finally see Arlecchino after the trailers and leaks from the community. But you felt so upset during the quest, you couldn’t handle not crying. As you were listening to her dialogue, you were sobbing. Arlecchino’s ears perked up as she heard your sad sobs. It shocked her that you, the all seeing being, could be this vulnerable.
She became more concerned the longer you stayed on her dialogue screen. She had just met you, but she had heard of you through word of mouth, since you were a popular deity that was worshiped all over Teyvat. But seeing you like this for the first time was new. You had trusted her enough, after one interaction, to cry in front of her. Then your soft sad voice spoke up and she was stunned.
“I wish you were with me.”
Her eyes widened when she heard your soft and sad voice say that. She wanted you with her, too, to be worshiped like the god you are. She had always fantasized of all the children of the House of the Hearth meeting you, as they all admired you. She set up a room for you, and she wanted you there more than ever. But there was this rage that someone did this to you, made you this sad.
She sighed as it seemed she would be stuck in this dialogue for a little bit as you fell asleep. She was content, though, seeing you now calm from your previous crying fit. She broke out of her pose to bring her hand to her chin, as she thought to herself. Her gaze was soft as she stared at your sleeping face. She broke the code once more as she spoke off the script.
“I wish I were with you, to wipe away your tears. Once you come here, you will be worshiped by all in the House of the Hearth.”

The only thoughts in his head however were how much his family would have loved to meet you.

oh ok, then I'd like to request phony by tsumiki (I think?) with furina, wanderer and childe
idrc abt whatever else is in the fic, it could be fluff or angst (maybe that's more for furina or wanderer since the lyrics are abt not knowing their purpose/who they are)
I think that's all I need to write to request-
thank you <33!!

Song: Phony by Tsumiki

CHILDE
You were doing a domain with Childe, obviously because you loved fighting in domains with him. He was doing really well, hitting high numbers, but the world around him paused. He knew this wasn’t a normal pause as you open one of the various menus of the game, but it was him having a sudden realization. Childe was used to you playing music as you fought during domains, but this one particular song struck a chord within him. You had thought you game broke because Childe was just standing still, but wasn't taking any damage.
“The rain of despair pelts my umbrella and. Dampens my bangs and the hidden side of my heart”
That one lyric out of this whole song made him snap. All of a sudden you had control over him and his numbers were a lot higher. Childe was putting a lot more force into his attacks. You didn't notice, but this song was heavily affecting him. That one lyric connected to him more than anyone else, and the fact that it was coming from you made it even worse. He tried to think why this one lyric hit so hard to him.
This feeling hit him like a tidal wave, not knowing what to do or say. After you exited the domain, he just stared at you. He had this feeling that you were punishing him for hiding so much from you. The previous times where he hid the truth, not revealing who he truly was or what his intentions were. He hated himself that he had to lie to you, the deception he subjected to you.
He was sincerely remorseful about ever deceiving you, but it was for the greater good. If you had known, he was sure that you would have hated him. You just had Childe stand outside the domain, trying to figure out what you needed to do next, while Chide was having an anxiety attack. His eyes were shaky, and his hands were trembling as he couldn’t still his racing mind. He was sure that you must have hated him.
“I’m sorry I didn’t try hard enough to hide my truths from you.”

WANDERER
Wanderer may have seemed annoyed that you had him on the field to do boss fights, but deep down he was very prideful and proud about it. Of course you chose him out of all the others that you had, he was the best out of all of them anyway. Wanderer had this smirk on his face after every boss he had defeated, but that smirk disappeared as he heard a song play. This was normal, you obviously needed background noise, but this one song cause Wanderer’s mind to spiral. He didn’t know what to do as he felt trapped, but one lyric made it even worse.
“I can’t understand even the simplest of things; what even am I?”
He paused in the middle of his attack, the wind he was using quickly dissipated from his hand. All his memories came flooding back to him, as he tried to compose himself. Wanderer thought he was over this, he already confronted his past. So why was it all coming back to him so suddenly? It didn’t make any sense to him, especially since it was triggered by that one lyric. It was true, he didn’t understand anything, even after all the work he had done to understand humans.
He internalized this lyric and started to think it was how you saw him, but it didn’t cross his mind that it was how you saw yourself. You noticed that Wanderer wasn’t fighting anymore, thinking it was odd, so you decided to move him to a teleporter. You didn’t know if it was the game glitching or what, but you just let the game run on its own, hoping it would be fixed by itself. Wanderer started to cry, he didn’t think such a simple song could affect him and cause him to have a panic attack. He looked at you, hoping you would notice his pain in his eyes.
Wanderer kept his sole focus on you, trying to make sense of the purpose of the song that was playing. Were you trying to give him a sign, perhaps, or were you simply telling him you didn’t see him as what he wanted. His mind spiraled as he kept thinking on why you played that song, and if you even chose to play it. Wanderer didn’t want to accept the reality that he wasn’t real to you, that he was just a mere puppet with no emotions. As the screen dimmed, you still waiting for the game to fix itself, his eyes stared on with disbelief.
“Am I even real to you, creator?”

FURINA
Furina was skipping, even if you couldn’t see it through the screen, as you explored with her. She loved that someone as prestigious as you thought of her to be good for the job. She hummed to herself, seemingly enjoying the music that was playing in the background. You were fighting some monsters in Fontaine, and she was more than delighted to reign victorious, even if they were easy enemies. That delighted feeling got sucked out of her the moment she heard the song change to one that she couldn’t help but connect too.
“I cried, still unable to say even goodbye, phony phony phony. Tangled up in lies, I am a phony”
She felt tears well up in her eyes instantly. She couldn’t stop herself from crying, as she froze in front of the items of the fallen enemy that was just defeated. Her eyes were darting everywhere, trying to not focus on this one lyric. Furina instantly came to the conclusion that you saw her as a phony. She couldn’t blame you, however, since she felt like one herself. She wasn’t the true Hydro Archon after all, so what was she meant to be?
Tears feel onto the sand that she was standing upon, causing it to clump together. Her eyes stayed away from you, she couldn’t bring herself to even see you looking at her. She felt so much guilt and fear that you didn’t see her as anything but a phony. Furina tried her best to pull herself out of this negative spiral. She fell to her knees, more tears overwhelming her vision.
You hadn’t noticed as you became distracted with the music playing. Furina had held her hands as if she were praying to you. Her eyes were wide as she was fighting herself in her mind. Her breathing became labored as more tears fell around her. She started to yell out to you, hoping you’d hear her pleas.
“I’m not a phony! I’m not. I’m not. I’m not! Why won’t you believe me, oh great creator?”
