In other day I had to work an imaginary light, but I was tired of working with primitives. So I did a more or less full job. I think this is a good indicator of what I learned in 8 months of system training.

I’ve been seeing this post floating around with these handsome pretty photoshop brushes and decided to see if I could mimic the effects in SAI. I didn’t get all of them perfectly, but I did what I could, while also bringing some unique SAI-ishness to the table that you can’t get in PS. Hope you guys find these useful!

Something to go with those brushes I released last month: NATURAL MATERIALS V.1 is a small collection of [free!] texture overlays created from scans I made 5 years ago that I finally put to use. Should mostly work in any program that can open .PSD files. :D

What brush settings do you use in paint SAI?
most of these are just brushes i got from other artists that i’ve altered over time to suit my preferences and stuff!! (apart from the “crayon lines” brush, select the “pencil” option rather than the “brush” option when you’re making them, if that makes sense haha)
