Ok, what *may* be happening here is that the new headmate doesn't identify with strongly their source, doesn't want to be associated with source, or just doesn't like to be compared to their source. They may also being distancing from or don't identify with source because they are so different than what their source actually is. We actually have a headmate like that, who we'll let talk about/explain it.

I [DON'T MIND] talking about my source, and I rather [ENJOY] it actually, especially the [HEADCANONS] and [FANART], but I don't like being [COMPARED] to my [SOURCE CHARACTER]. Spamton is... quite [DIFFERENT] than how I am. He's [ALSO] made some [RISKY] decisions with his, er, [BUSINESS]. I was [FORMED] to help us make [SMARTER] decisions involving money, and because we had [RECENTLY] played both Deltarune chapters, that's [WHY] I formed the way I did. So, [THAT'S] just my experience. Do with that [WHAT] you will.

There's a fair number of posts out there about people denying their plurality, or DID, or whatever, and we've been through that too, but something we still seem to experience from time to time is... Some of our introjects will deny they're introjects?? It doesn't last for very long, since they usually just need some time to get used to the idea, but it is kinda funny when we have conversations like –

Older members: Okay, so I can mark you down as XYZ?

New member: No <3.

Older: Why not?

New: That's not me.

Older: ... We just had a conversation about you being XYZ. You admitted it yourself. You told us you're an introject of them.

New: And now I say... No <3.

My dude, you're so close to acceptance. I believe in you. You can do it. Accept you're an introject like you said you are three seconds ago /lh
