And then we realized a few days ago we can download SimplyPLural on our chromebook so yayyyy!

since you seem alright with chaotic kitchen crew, then we will put finding system names for you a tad lower on our priority list for now.

We found a proxy site that a friend of a friend set up and used that, we haven't told anyone else the url though cause we're afraid school will catch on and block it or it'll crash, or both. So as far as we know, its just us, our friend, and the friends friend using it lmao

Oooo, we saw a few terms related to this in pluralpedia (a really great website btw, we can and will spend hours browsing it for new cool terms). Were trying to find the one about headmates that are soley able to be communicated with through dreams (might not exist, which in that case, term coining time) but also know of a few others that are related.

We haven't been on Duolingo in fucking MONTHS and this inspired us to get back on and restart learning Klingon (yeaaa Trekkies) and Russian. Gonna start with Klingon bc memorizing/put tape over all my keys with the Russian alphabet is a pain in the ass and will take a while but currently in class so plftft, Klingon it is
I feel like a lot of Duolingo discourse should acknowledge that the reason that they have basically every national European language on there is not because of a “European bias” but because of refugees. A huge number of refugees in Europe use it to learn the language of whatever country they’re moving to or living in; the site even talks about it in the “fun facts” on their waiting screen. Languages like Swedish and Norwegian aren’t there primarily for Minnesotans getting in touch with their heritage, but for African and Asian refugees in Sweden and Norway, and indeed they make up the majority of people using Duolingo to learn those languages. The site does need to add more non-European languages; it’s gradually doing this, it recently added Zulu, Xhosa and Kreyòl, and its focus on indigenous languages like Navajo and Hawaiian is especially commendable, but there are still some glaring omissions of major world languages from Asia and Africa that need to be addressed — and even “they’re edited by users” doesn’t cut it with how many people worldwide speak those whom they could seek out! But the fact that a free language app is doing its best to provide the language learning services that those actual countries routinely deny desperately-poor refugees is a good thing actually. Reserve your rage for the inclusion of Esperanto, Klingon and High Valyrian over Tagalog and Farsi.

Ok, what *may* be happening here is that the new headmate doesn't identify with strongly their source, doesn't want to be associated with source, or just doesn't like to be compared to their source. They may also being distancing from or don't identify with source because they are so different than what their source actually is. We actually have a headmate like that, who we'll let talk about/explain it.

There's a fair number of posts out there about people denying their plurality, or DID, or whatever, and we've been through that too, but something we still seem to experience from time to time is... Some of our introjects will deny they're introjects?? It doesn't last for very long, since they usually just need some time to get used to the idea, but it is kinda funny when we have conversations like –
