did my ask from the other day not go through? because if it didn't that would be annoying. i know tumblr can "eat" asks sometimes. well anyways, i wish you luck on your school work and finding a system name. i told the story of how we(and by we, i mean zomboy and mason) came up with ours in the ask that might've gotten "ate". if you didn't get it, i can retype the story out. and give advice as well.

so advice. i would ask some of your mind people and see what a general consensus for a theme would be. themes would be like our cat theme, or maybe a name inspired by space. if you give me a theme, i can go look for some words for this first part
then it's the next part. most systems use "system", but there are other words to use.
collective, cluster, clutter, den, pack, team, group, family. you can look up terms for groups of animals to see if anything sticks.
maybe you could get creative too. want something water themed? S.S Gold, perhaps(because it sounds like the name of a boat)
you could also do a joke. nervous system for example, but there might be many who already use that.
and you could do something like the [noun/verb/whatever else]-ers.

So, we were going through Simply Plural and trying to update some of our stuff, and we realized that most of us use food/drink emojis as proxies (as yall can probably see in one of our recent posts). So maybe a food/drink/chef-related thing would work? And I kinda want it to have alliteration and be unique. Demo jokingly suggested 'Chaotic Kitchen Crew' which we have added to the beginning of a list of possible system names. We all also really like seafood for some reason. - ☕

Collectively, we all like foxes and reptiles. Demo really likes snakes (but has a cat theriotype). Pigeon generally likes feathered creatures (and has an avian theriotype and is fallen angel kin, tea also has wings in the headspace which isn't too surprising). Ball pythons are really damn cool and are somewhere up there on my favorite animal list. Frisk likes any kind of fluffy animal (and has a Ram theriotype). Vader I think specifically likes Doberman dogs, he just gives off those vibes. Dunno what Moss or the Russian Mfer likes, but Moss would be the kind of person to have a service animal and/or an emotional support animal. We probably need one anyway, what with our social anxiety and extreme neurodivergency and all, but our house is crowded as it is (over 40ish pets) and our current dog, a German Shepard named Chewbacca, has a screw loose, sooo- We'll probably get one when we go to college though. OH, and my favorite animal currently is an Arctic Fox. - ☕
chaotic kitchen crew sounds fun, we like it. you can try that one out and see if it sticks for sure.
is there a specific constanant sound you would like for the alliteration? and do you would you be okay with any food name(like idk. the curry collective or fried rice friends for example) or just words like "kitchen" "food" and "snack"?

^u^ We'll try it for a while, it's pretty likely we'll switch if we find a cooler one though. For specific sounds, we like sharp consonants (like k or t), unique ones (like v or q), and 'plosives (like p or b). Letters that sound similar in pronunciation (like k, c, and sometimes q, or z and x) are also pretty fun. As for food specifics, we'd be okay with most foods/drinks that fit the above criteria, unless it's like bountiful broccoli brunch or smth, we all hate broccoli lol. Also just realized that the names we come up with tend to have 3 words, so that's kinda cool. -w- Generic words would be good as well. Also, we're not trying to pawn this off on yall at all, but talking us through the process is immensely helpful! It'd be pretty cool if we started a joint blog to help people find system names, proxies, or just names for their headmates if they don't yet have one. I don't think we've seen any blogs like that yet. - ☕

Ok, what *may* be happening here is that the new headmate doesn't identify with strongly their source, doesn't want to be associated with source, or just doesn't like to be compared to their source. They may also being distancing from or don't identify with source because they are so different than what their source actually is. We actually have a headmate like that, who we'll let talk about/explain it.

Hot take but canes are not a limited resource. Most mobility aids aren’t but canes especially. Canes are $20 at a lot of stores like CVS, Walmart, etc. You aren’t taking that resource away from “real” disabled people (hint: you ARE a real disabled person) in fact buying more canes creates more demand and works to make more stores carry them for better prices. You aren’t faking being disabled or hurting disabled people, you’re working to make canes more accessible which is helping disabled people.
