So this is a very different Nagizuru fic from what you guys are used to.

See, Karu and I have been joking around about Nagizuru being an SCP. But then inspiration struck one day. Along with the immense desire to create a fic for this au of an au. And viola. Here we are!

So please enjoy SCP Nagizuru! With Hajime along for the ride as well.

And of course, the characters in the au still belong to @karugoround. I am thankful to them for the existence of these boys. And for the chance to do fun ideas with them.

Dr. X: Today is April 14th. It is currently 4:37 pm. I am here with Hajime Hinata to answer a series of questions concerning SCP-49878. Good afternoon, Mr. Hinata. How are you feeling today?

H: Uhh, I’m doing okay I guess. All things considered.

Dr. X: I can imagine. But let’s go ahead and start the questions. How has your overall experience with SCP-49878 been?

H: That’s… a bit hard to answer in a general short answer. But I guess… It's been fine. He doesn’t do anything to me other than what you’ve seen.

Dr. X: You are aware of what classification SCP-49878 has been given by the foundation, correct?

H: Yeah. He’s what you call Apollyon, right?

Dr. X: That is correct. And are you aware of what that means?

H: That he breaks out constantly and has crazy world ending powers? Yeah… I’m aware of that… very aware.

Dr. X: Has learning of this classification changed your thinking of SCP-49878?

H: Of course it has! How could that not affect someone? But he doesn’t seem to care that I know now. In fact, I think he likes showing off his abilities to me.

Dr. X: Let’s change the line of discussion to another. When and how did you first encounter SCP-49878?

H: Hmmm… I think it was in late September? Classes had just started up at my university and I was heading back to my place. It was raining hard that night, too. I saw him on a bench near the bus stop. I’ll be honest, I thought he was homeless at first. Which is why I offered him my umbrella and a granola bar. He looked like he was my age, and I felt really bad for him. And that’s when it started.

Dr. X: Please elaborate.

H: Well, after that night, he kept just… showing up at random points. No matter where I was. But I really didn’t think much of it. It didn’t seem like it was that often at the time. And I figured he was just lonely and wanted to talk. Which I was fine with. I didn’t know anyone in the area so he was the only one who wanted to talk to me. In hindsight, that was pretty stupid of me. Who knows what could have happened if his intentions had been bad.

Dr. X: Did you have any suspicions that SCP-49878 was not human between your meeting and the recapture?

H: I had a feeling he was… strange. His mannerisms and his habit of showing up the moment I was alone were good indicators. But I didn’t have any concrete evidence until the foundation came.

Dr. X: Describe that day. What do you recall of it?

H: We had been talking in a park. It felt like a normal day. I never would have suspected anything crazy would happen. But then several armored cars pulled up and men with firearms surrounded us. I won’t deny that I was terrified. But none of that compared to what happened to… the guy who approached us.

Dr. X: Are you referring to the guard who was inverted? Organs on the outside?

H: Yes. That took me so long to come to terms with. That’s not something you can just forget.

Dr. X: The photos from that day are certainly not for the faint of heart. What was it that happened next?

H: Someone, I think the one in charge, started throwing questions at me and him. Like why this town hadn’t been destroyed yet and if I was the cause of this calmness. And he only replied with a ‘correct.’ He then… hugged me from behind and wouldn’t let go. So… they kinda had to bring me along. Not that they would have left me alone for long. I’m sure the foundation would have found a method to question me on what I did or said with him.

Dr. X: Do you know why SCP-49878 is attached to you?

H: I couldn’t tell you. But I do know for certain that he’s obsessed and possessive of me. To the point of extreme violence to others.

???: Quite so. Now tell me, is this silly little interview over? It’s time for you to return to our place.

Dr. X: Session has been interrupted by SCP-49878. Ending recording.

The doctor pulled the recorder towards them as Hajime felt arms snake around his midsection. Floating white locks of hair came into view as the supernatural force leaned his cheek into the brunette’s. “It was so terribly long of a wait. I couldn’t sit alone anymore. You know I don’t like being seperated, Hajime.”

Despite the fact that the creature behind him could and would break reality if he felt like it, Hajime felt a twinge of annoyance. “It’s been only 30 minutes! You are so impatient! I just wanted to deliver some letters to my family and answer a few questions in exchange. Was it so hard to read a book or watch a movie while I was gone?”

The man next to him pouted. “Yes. It was.”

Hajime sighed, raising a hand to run it through his short spiky hair. “You do realize how whiny you sound right now, right? Very unbefitting of a crazy apocalypse monster.” He sighed again, standing up from the metal chair and stepping away from the table. “Apologies for the interruption. I think we need to leave now.”

The doctor nodded, maintaining their neutral expression. “You are dismissed. Take him back to his containment.”

“I’ll do that.” Hajime turned to look at the SCP near him. “Come on, Nagizuru. Let’s get you back to our home.”

The white haired man grinned. “Say no more.” He was hugged to the other man’s chest, eyes forced shut as he felt a strange sense of dizziness. He was still trying to get used to it when the SCP teleported them both. And when he reopened his eyes after the dizziness faded, he saw that they were now back in the apartment-like space the foundation had created for them. “Now it’s just us again. All is correct in the universe once more.”

Hajime stepped back to sit back on their plush couch. “Dramatic. And impatient.” He rolled his eyes as he witnessed the man teleport next to him on the couch, laying his head and long hair on his lap. It was actions like this that made him temporarily forget that this man held so much power. He couldn’t help being casual with him. Much like how he was when they first met.

He recalled that night as he stroked the white hair. He remembered asking for his name. To which he had received a confusing answer.

“I was once called Nagito. Recently I have been referred to as Izuru. And there are several other titles I have been given that I don’t care much to recall at the moment. You may use whatever name you desire.”

Hajime had groaned. He hated needing to choose between options. “If you are going to be so difficult about your name, I’ll just make it easier for myself. I’ll merge the first two together. You’re Nagizuru now.”

“Nagizuru, hmmm? Interesting. So very interesting. But I shall accept that as my identity now. You alone may call me this.”

And so it began. The spiral that threw his sense of normalcy out the window of a skyscraper. But he honestly was not sure if that spiral was going up or down. But despite all the horrors he had seen, he was leaning more towards the former.

And he wouldn’t deny that the illusion of a domestic life within this facility was nice. “Did you get rid of all the dust and dirt while I was gone at least?” he asked as he looked down.

The creature smiled wide. “Affirmative. It would not do if you were to fall ill. So cleanliness is of the utmost importance. Also, I prepared food for you. Would you like it now?”

Hajime thought about it for a moment before deciding he was hungry enough for a snack. “Something small. I don’t want to spoil dinner.”

A plate of green mochi appeared in front of him. They looked fresh, as if just made. He grabbed one and took a bite, humming happily at the taste. He was thankful that Nagizuru’s magical teleportation didn’t affect food in taste or quality. And of course, the man was a master of everything. All he created was amazing.

“It is to your liking, I assume. I took notice that you prefer this over others I have provided. Is this perhaps a favorite of yours?” the SCP inquired, not moving from his position.

The brunette raised his eyebrows in surprise. “It is actually. You noticed? Thank you. I appreciate it.” He took another bite, this one seemed to taste much better than the first. “As thanks, do you want me to prepare dinner tonight?”

Nagizuru looked up at him. “That is a reasonable bargain. May I request curry?”

Giving one last pat to the white hair, Hajime stood up from the couch. “Yeah, that’s fine. Just wait here and I’ll get it started.”

The man groaned a bit at the loss of his companion, but ultimately did as requested. Just laying on the couch with his eyes closed. He looked innocent and harmless like this. It would be very easy to assume he was safe to be around.

But Hajime put that thought away for now. The SCP was safe to be around. For him at least. And he was thankful for this with each passing day.

He entered the little kitchen they had, placing the plate of mochi down on the table before pulling the fridge open. All the ingredients for curry were right there, waiting for him. How thoughtful of Nagizuru to provide everything. He grabbed all he needed and put it on the counter, starting the process of slicing the vegetables and meat.

He took his time, as there was no rush. Neither of them had events to attend nor schedules that needed to be focused on. It was nice, not having to stress about that anymore. All he needed to do now was to keep the SCP company. And all was provided to him. He was even able to still have communication with people outside of the facility. Granted, it was very limited and no one knew exactly where he was or what he was doing, but it was still comforting that he wasn’t completely cut off.

And within his decorated and clean home, it was so easy to forget the strangeness of his situation.

But there were still some instances that reminded him of this fact.

The mechanical sound of the door opening startled him. Who could that possibly be? No one entered this place other than himself and the one it was built for. Desiring answers, he moved out of the kitchen and faced the door.

There was an unfamiliar man there, dressed in orange. A Class-D. He was looking around the room while eating one of the green mochi he had snagged from the plate. “These doctors really have been hogging this place to themselves the whole time? Guess I can’t blame them. Tasty food and a clean home. Everyone would want to be here,” he muttered to himself. Then he noticed Hajime. “Oh. The room’s other occupant. You’re really young. How’d you get access to this place? Did you butter up the doctors to let you be placed in this Safe Class room?”

Hajime felt his confusion levels rise. “What do you mean? The SCP here isn’t Safe Class. You really need to leave. Escape while you still can.”

But instead of heeding his warnings, the man just smirked. “The doctor told me that you might try and convince me otherwise. That this was a dangerous room. But I know better! So you should best quit while you’re ahead. I don’t take kindly to people getting in my way. And if you try…” The Class-D grabbed his shirt collar roughly. “Well, let’s just say that I won’t go easy on you. This is your only warning, kid.” The man then shoved him away with force.

The rough push sent him stumbling backwards. But to his surprise, instead of rough furniture or the floor, his back made contact with something else. Something that he was very familiar with. And as he felt the arms wrap around him with an unbreakable solid grip, he knew that there was nothing more he could do. The man’s fate was sealed. So he shut his mouth and didn’t speak further.

He looked up to see the SCP’s expression. And it was a sight straight out of a nightmare. His long white hair was moving on its own like a nest of angry snakes. The sclera of his eyes was pitch black, the irises glowing red. His smile was wide, too wide to be human. And his teeth had elongated to sharp points. Nagizuru was displeased. And that always resulted in fatalities.

“Filthy human. Intruding into our domain. Taking our food. And daring to touch my Hajime. These actions are unforgivable.” Nagizuru’s voice sounded layered, as if another, darker version of him was speaking at the same time. It sent a chill down the humans’ spines. “Now then, corpses don’t need internal organs. So I’ll remove them for you.”

The Class-D man’s expression changed to one of pure shock. He then tried gasping for air with raspy, strained wheezes. But based on the SCP’s previous words, it seemed like the air had no lungs to go to. And there was no heart to pump blood. So the skin paled drastically in a short time. The man tipped forward, falling face first onto the floor. A few more convulsions, then he was still.

Hajime stared at the now dead man in his home. Months before, this would have terrified him and scarred him for life. But now? It was almost just an inconvenience. He took a breath and raised a question. “Can you… get him out of our place? I don’t want to risk our things reeking of death.”

Nagizuru closed his eyes and mouth for a moment. When they reopened, they appeared as they usually did. Human enough to fool those not in the know. “Of course. I too despise the stench of rot.” The body then vanished, no trace of it being left behind. “There we are. Now it’s just us again.”

Hajime relaxed again, leaning back into the tight embrace he was being held in. Though one thought did pop into existence. “Out of curiosity, where did you send him?”

Nagizuru grinned as he led the human back over to the couch. “Oh, I simply dropped the body in front of the doctor who sent him in with false information. I think their autopsy of him should send a clear message to not try that again.” He sat them down so that they were both laying on the plush cushions, still holding onto the brunette. “Now relax, my dear Hajime. I’ll finish dinner. You’ve had a stressful day and I’ll help you forget your worries.”

The human could feel the man using some abilities to make him sleepy. But he didn’t protest or fight it. Not that he could even if he wanted to. His heavy eyelids closed and he leaned his full weight into the one holding him.

He was in the clutches of danger. Stuck with a monster who could end him at any time. The knowledge inspired feelings of instinctual dread in the back of his mind. And he welcomed the feeling with open arms. For the experience was worth it.

It’s da Nagizuru! The SCP Nagizuru to be exact!

So this is going to be something different for me. I have written angst before, that is for certain. But not extreme angst. At least, not to the level as the following.

But I want to give it a shot! Especially cause @karugoround wanted to see something like this. And I got curious and visualized a story for it. So you can consider this a (very belated) birthday gift, Karu! Mega angst!!!

So before we start, I want to say this first.

Trigger warning for suicide.

And this message goes out to everyone. You are not alone. The dark clouds will pass with time. And there are people who care for you and care about you. And if you need someone to message, my inbox is open. Please stay safe.

“Ah, what a wonderful day. Wouldn’t you agree, Hajime?”

“Uh… wonderful is not the adjective I would use.”

“Oh? And why not?” Nagizuru asked as he squeezed the hand he was holding.

“Let me think. Perhaps the fact that we are wandering the halls of a highly secret location in the middle of a containment breach?” Hajime replied with exasperation, gesturing to the flashing red lights around them.

Nagizuru lifted a finger to his chin, pretending to contemplate. “Ah, I didn’t notice. I wonder who got out this time?”

Hajime rolled his eyes. “You mean besides yourself?”

The SCP smirked before tugging the human closer. “Well, that doesn’t matter. Let’s see all the sights this place has to offer! It can be like a date of some kind!”

Hajime’s face turned beet red. “A-a date?!”

Nagizuru raised an eyebrow. “Date. Noun. Definition is a social or romantic appointment or engagement.” He leaned into the other next to him. “And I’m sure you can accurately guess which of the two I would classify this as.”

The human buried his face into his free hand and groaned loudly. It made the SCP smile wider. “Oh, I do love your reactions. You are so easy to tease. It provides limitless entertainment for myself.” He tilted his head so that he could whisper into the other’s ear. “Though that fact does not make the previous words any less true.”

A high pitched whine escaped from Hajime as his emotions skyrocketed. Nagizuru smirked with satisfaction before pulling away. That would be all the teasing for now. “With that being said, come along. Let us continue. Perhaps we can find some interesting possessions left behind by the staff.” He tugged the hand he was holding gently, guiding his treasured one down a hall.

Hajime remained silent as they walked, most likely trying to regain his composure. He had more or less returned to normal by the time they had reached a larger room. There were several desks with papers and other objects scattered around. There was even a staircase on the side leading up to more offices, separated by panes of glass and a large height. “Have you been here before, Hajime?” Nagizuru inquired, picking up a small cactus that someone had decorated their desk with.

He looked back in time to see the brunette shake his head. “I mostly stick to the areas near your containment room. I don’t feel confident in my navigation skills to wander around and correctly make my way back.”

The SCP put down the cactus and teleported behind the human, hugging him tight. “You have no need to worry. For I would come find you and bring you back home safe and sound.”

Hajime made a surprised noise at the sudden embrace, but relaxed into it. “Yeah, I know you would.”

The hug kept up for a few minutes, Nagizuru enjoying this a lot. But he let go eventually, grabbing his hand again. “Now then, let’s conti-”

“Halt! Neither of you move!”

Suddenly, a horde of heavily armored soldiers stormed into the room. Each one covered head to toe in protective gear and aiming their firearms at them.

Nagizuru recognized them. They were the special force the foundation used when containment breaches occurred. The Nine-Tailed Fox force.

But he felt no fear. Nothing these humans could do were capable of harming him in a significant way. “Run along now. There is nothing for you to do here,” he stated, pulling Hajime to stand close by him.

“SCP-49878. You have broken containment. Return at once,” the leader of the squad barked in a commanding tone.

Nagizuru tilted his head. “How about… no? My date with Hajime is still in progress. It is quite rude of you to interrupt us.” He scanned the room, taking note of everything in their vicinity. And the sniper taking position in the offices above them on the other side of the glass didn’t escape his notice either. They thought they could kill him with that? How cute. “Leave us be. Go contain the others. Before you do something you regret.”

But to his disappointment, none moved. “This is your final chance. Return to your containment.”

Nagizuru grinned. “I’d like to see you try to force me.”

The leader paused. Then he uttered a single word.

“Neutralize.”

A shot rang out along with shattered glass. But strangely, he didn’t feel the impact. So where had it…

“Ah…”

Hajime let out a small sudden noise. And right after, he toppled forward, falling face first towards the hard metal floor.

Nagizuru caught him before he hit, though. He began to turn him over to see what had happened. But his eyes caught sight of something. A small hole in the side of the human’s temple. And a small stream of blood trickling down.

A heavy weight seemed to fall into his stomach at the sight. He had been shot. The sniper hadn’t been aiming for him. He had been aiming for Hajime.

His eternal smile disappeared as he finally rolled the human to see his face.

Hajime’s eyes were glassy and unseeing. His body was limp and flopped in his hold. There were no breaths being taken in and no heartbeat was audible.

All life functions had ceased within the brunette.

He was dead.

“No… no… it can’t be possible…” Nagizuru muttered, checking again and again. But every time, he reached the same conclusion.

Hajime Hinata was dead.

And there was nothing he could do to bring him back.

Once he came to that conclusion, he released a piercing, inhuman shriek that made all of the force clutch their heads in pain. And while they were distracted, they were torn apart one by one. Painfully and viciously. And the one who had taken the shot? Nagizuru made sure he felt every nanosecond of his death. Torturously slow and unbearable. He deserved it for the act he had done.

He would have kept it up for years if given the opportunity. But he couldn’t. He needed to return to Hajime. So he left the eviscerated corpse behind to return to his beloved’s side. He kneeled down, making sure to shake all the blood and gore off his claws before touching his human. He didn’t want to taint him.

He stared into the dead eyes, searching once more for signs of life. But there was none. He was gone. Gone from the world and from him.

For the first time in his existence, he felt a sharp pain rip through his soul as he held his beloved’s body in his arms. Tears began falling from his eyes, a sensation that also had never occurred. But he was not able to marvel at this, as grief clouded everything.

“Please… please don’t leave me,” he begged uselessly. “I finally found meaning. Found something I could love. Hajime… don’t go…”

He knew the rambling was pointless. Even he, with all his abilities, could not bring the dead back to life. It had not bothered him until this. What a fool he had been. He had gotten too confident. And that had resulted in the worst possible situation. He may have been invincible. But in the moment, he had forgotten that Hajime was not.

And it resulted in the greatest loss of his existence. The most painful wound. The heaviest guilt. And the most unbearable feelings of grief. And it tore him to shreds inside.

He thought no place was out of his reach. But Hajime was now in a place he could not go to.

Nagizuru then paused. An idea forming. No, he could follow Hajime. There was a way.

He stared at his claws, harder than diamond and sharper than even the finest of needles. He felt his tears begin to lessen and a smile began growing again. “Ah, how blind I was. The answer was so simple.”

Carefully, he rearranged the body he was holding, propping it up against his chest. He also closed the sightless hazel eyes. Now it simply looked like Hajime was sleeping. It eased his mind to see this. Now he could begin.

He raised his left hand up, placing the claws on his own temple. And with a quick movement, he shattered his own skull. His hand wrapped around the object inside, pulling it out.

His own brain was now in his hand, pulsating with activity. But not for much longer.

He didn’t feel any of the pain, instead looking one final time at his beloved. “Life has no meaning if you are gone from my side. So I shall readily give it up.” He kissed the cold skin. “Hajime, I’m coming to find you. No matter where you are in the afterlife, I shall not rest until we are together again. Wait for me, darling. I’ll see you soon.”

He crushed the organ in his hand. Then all faded to black.

Nagizuru’s eyes shot open, sitting straight up on the bed he shared with Hajime. As quick as he could, he looked to his side, praying that would not find what he had just witnessed.

And to his immense relief, he saw the human under the covers, breathing deeply with a peaceful expression. The SCP felt his heart calm and his own breathing slowed as well. It hadn’t happened. They were both alive and well.

Feeling compelled, he reached over and placed his hand on the other’s cheek. The skin was warm and was subtly moving with signs of life. He also internally scanned him. Everything was as it should be. He was healthy. He was alive.

That confirmation settled his panicked mind even more. The white haired creature laid back down, moving so that he was hugging the brunette tight. Hajime made a sleepy noise, but visibly relaxed at the feeling.

Nagizuru’s thoughts raced through his mind. What had that been? A nightmare? Or had it been a vision of future events? It could have been either. But the end result was still the same. He knew what would happen if the human was to die.

Nagizuru knew a lot. He had acquired so much knowledge throughout his existence. But he knew frighteningly little about what happened once life expired. He hadn’t cared all too much, as he was an immortal soul. Death was never a concern. But now he was faced with the fact that his one source of true happiness was mortal. And once he was gone, that was it.

So he made his mind up. And he whispered it to the quiet room and sleeping Hajime. “I swear upon my existence this oath. I shall not fail you as I did in the vision. I will keep you safe. I shall make sure you are alive. No matter the cost.”

The SCP finished, taking a deep breath. He then buried his face into the brown hair, joining him in slumber once more.

He has become the Ultimate Hair Creature. Good job, Nagizuru.

This was a ton of fun to help you make! Fun shenanigans for us to enjoy. And I hope everyone reading likes it too!

Nagizuru throws a tantrum (SCP Foundation AU)

A silly thing that @draconicsparkle and I wrote together for fun. Nagizuru but he's an SCP. Please enjoy.

...

It had started out as a typical day. Well, typical for this place. The SCP Foundation’s bases tended to have bizarre occurances on a daily basis.

But still, it could be relatively routine at times. And it had been shaping up to be that kind of day again. The morning and afternoon had been fine, Hajime keeping SCP-4673 company. It wasn’t hard at all. It mostly consisted of him simply being in the same room as the entity. Though there were moments of physical contact. But not enough to be annoying.

But the evening rolled around, and the two shared the consensus of not wanting to make dinner themselves. So they elected to visit the staff cafeteria. They did this on their lazy nights. So there wasn’t too much panic when Nagizuru teleported them into the room.

“Thank you. Now, let’s see what they have. Want me to grab you something while you get a table?” Hajime asked as he stepped away from the white haired man.

The always present smile widened. “That is a suitable delegation of tasks. Very well. Return to my side as swiftly as you can.” Then he disappeared. Hajime turned to get in line, ignoring the startled shouts of some of the staff who clearly hadn’t expected the Apollyon class monster to appear near them. His sudden teleportation caused some overhead light bulbs to explode, slamming into some unfortunate people in line. The shards completely dodged Hajime, who seemed unaffected by the situation. "Keep that thing away from us, will you?" someone in line yelled. Hajime had to hold back the urge to punch the guy.

Putting that temporarily out of his mind, he accepted two plates of tonight’s dinner. Large bowls of fried rice. The scent was mouthwatering and he found himself excited. He hadn’t had this in several years.

So he quickly walked over to the table Nagizuru had chosen. It was a small one near the back, away from everyone else. Not unusual, as the SCP enjoyed having all of the brunette’s attention on him.

He placed the bowls down on the table with the silverware, pulling his seat in and grabbing a fork. “It smells really good. I might even get seconds.”

He scooped up some with his fork and lifted the steaming food to his mouth. But before he was able to take the bite, he noticed the man across from him. His hair was writhing, as if it was alive. And he was glaring at the bowl in front of him. Hajime sighed and put the fork back down. “And what is the matter?”

Nagizuru glanced up at him before returning to stare at the food. “Rice… and peas.”

Hearing the displeased tone, Hajime groaned. “Again with this? Grow up and just eat them. It’s not like you are allergic or anything.”

Nagizuru’s smile was clearly more of a grimace now. “I refuse. You shouldn’t force yourself to eat repulsive food groups such as these. I shall change it for us.”

The SCP reached for the food, fingertips making contact with it. But Hajime grabbed his bowl and pulled it closer to himself. “Get off! This is mine. And I’m gonna enjoy it. Now you eat yours!”

Nagizuru let out a growl, accompanied by the sound of crackling. The pale limbs began to elongate and the entity’s form also started increasing in scale. In addition, the white hair grew longer and longer.

Several members of the foundation screamed or shouted in fear and the sound of tables and chairs being pushed away or falling were audible. Most of the people were terrified of the creature in front of them and they ran out of the room.

But not Hajime. He didn’t even bat an eye, just returning his attention to his food and picking up the fork. “Throwing a tantrum because you don’t want to eat certain things? How mature.” Hajime started eating his food, as if nothing was amiss. “Return to normal. You are surely breaking things,” he said with his mouth full of peas.

“I will not,” the SCP stated in a voice that sounded layered by dozens of others. He rearranged himself so that his body was more comfortable with the increasing size.

But the creature’s sudden growth pushed over the table they had been sitting at, both bowls of the fried rice falling and splattering onto the floor.

The sight of the food on the ground made Hajime’s patience snap. “Fine. I won’t push it anymore.” But before Nagizuru could feel any sort of victory, he turned around and began walking back to the kitchen area. “However, I intend to enjoy this meal. So I shall get another portion and go find somewhere else to eat it. Away from you so I won't have to put up with your whining.”

“What?” the distorted voice asked in a panicked tone.

Hajime raised his eyebrows with a smirk. “Until you behave and fix everything you broke, I won't talk to you. AND you will need to eat the fried rice.”

He felt something clutch onto his midsection, pulling him back towards the sea of white hair. He could barely see a giant red eye peering down at him, looking far more resigned than defiant. “Okay… I’ll fix everything. And I’ll try it. So don’t leave me. Please?”

Rolling his eyes, he nodded. “Deal.” He looked back to see stunned faces staring at them, peeking through the window door. He shrugged and said:

Nagizuru Throws A Tantrum (SCP Foundation AU)

He poked the face hidden under the white hair. “And stubborn. Now go back to how you normally are, okay? Can you do that for me?” He made sure to ask these questions in a soft tone, knowing that Nagizuru was not able to resist requests when he talked like this.

“Alright,” the SCP said, body shrinking back to how he usually appeared. Once fully human-like again, he embraced the brunette. “I’ll do anything for you, Hajime. Even… eat rice and peas.”

Hajime pet the head in a comforting way. “Good. That’s what I like to hear. Now let’s fix this room back up.”

A whooshing sound occured and all the tables, chairs, and spilled food was back in perfect condition. Hajime rewarded this with a hug of his own. “Thank you.” He separated and pointed to the chair. “Now, let’s have a less chaotic meal. No more shenanigans.”

“No more shenanigans". Nagizuru repeated.

Hajime sat down and picked up his fork, the entity copying him seconds after. Before taking his first bite, he looked at Hajime's eyes with his usual smile, now looking amused.

“… for now.”

So is this late? I guess you could say it is later than I usually post. But I don’t set deadlines for anything I make. Cause it’s so much less stressful for myself. I wanna have fun with what I make. And sometimes it requires a few extra days.

Explanation over. It’s Nagizuru time.

But hey… wanna see something amazing by @valictini?

I also helped @karugoround with this.

Oh, and this too! By @dice-nagito-ace!

And now, onto my contribution to the glorious au.

Hajime had already thought that SCP-49878 was clingy. Ever since the moment they met. Outside of the facility, every moment he was alone, the entity had shown up. Once in the facility, the creature followed him even if others were present. He had hardly gotten any time to himself since meeting him.

But now? It was so much worse.

Now he was lucky if he had a few seconds alone. Nagizuru was his second, always present shadow. Everything he did was witnessed. The only time it was possible to get away was for the restroom. And even then, Nagizuru was nearby, as if guarding him.

It had happened overnight. One day he was relatively fine. The next he was the worst type of helicopter partner. And so life had been different in the two weeks following the first day.

Hajime didn’t protest it. And neither did he question it. He had the feeling that Nagizuru was doing this for a reason. Maybe a particularly hostile SCP had been brought in and he didn’t know about it. Maybe it was something that his species did on occasion. Whatever the reason was, Hajime knew that the creature was extra protective and obsessive now.

And it occasionally made tasks ever so slightly harder.

“Nagizuru! Come on, I can walk by myself!” he was currently shouting at the man in the doorway of their room. He had felt arms wrap around his back and legs, scooping him off the floor and holding him bridal style.

Nagizuru simply held him close as he began walking. “I am aware of that.”

Hajime waited, expecting more of an explanation. But none came. So he huffed and crossed his arms. “Is there any possibility of convincing you to put me down?”

The man glanced at him before looking forward again. “No.”

The brunette groaned, accepting his fate as he was carried through the hallways. “You’re lucky that I’m allowing this, you know,” he stated loudly with a bit of annoyance lacing his tone.

“I am fortunate. That is true,” Nagizuru replied. “And I intend to stay fortunate.”

He fell silent again. And Hajime gave up trying to converse. So he tried to just enjoy the ride, carried through the hallways to a specific laboratory.

He felt his cheeks redden when they entered, several doctors staring at them with bewilderment. “Don’t ask. I don’t know why either,” he told them.

Thankfully, they regained composure very fast. That was normal behavior for this place. “Right. If you are fine with it, we shall begin the tests once you sit in the chair.”

Nagizuru clearly didn’t want to put him down, tightening his grip and growling. The doctors took a step back, very wary now.

Hajime reached up and yanked some of the hair. “Quit that. You know what these tests involve. Don’t act like it’s a new, potentially threatening thing. Behave yourself while this happens. Got it?”

The SCP whined and hugged him close. “Okay. I’ll let you down.” Hajime raised an eyebrow, expecting something else. “And I’ll behave.”

The human nodded, patting the white hair. “Good. Thank you.” He was placed on the floor near the chair, which he sat down in quickly. “Okay, let’s get this over with. I don’t know how patient he will be.”

The doctors understood and began immediately. And so began a routine of tests. It was almost like a doctor’s exam. They checked his vitals and chemical makeup once every two weeks. They told him this was to check if constant exposure to the SCP changed him in some way. Hajime saw no problems with it, so he agreed to participate. And so far, nothing had been different.

Soon, they had all they needed from him and went to work examining their samples. His breathing and pulse had been normal. No sign of sickness. He was in pretty good shape.

All it came down to was waiting for the blood and cell samples to be examined. It sometimes took a while. But this time seemed longer than typical. The doctor kept looking in the microscope, then looking at their notes. And again. And again.

To the point where every human was curious. “Is there something amiss?” another doctor asked.

The microscope doctor slowly pulled away with a look of shock. “His blood and cells… they’re the same.”

This led to more questions. “What do you mean they’re the same? Why are you so astounded by it?”

The first looked slowly over to Hajime. “It’s EXACTLY the same from last time. There’s no sign of change whatsoever. It’s like they are frozen in time.”

Hajime was stunned. “So… what does that mean for me in the long run?”

He felt the entity hug him from behind. “Why are you so concerned by this, my dear? Aren’t you pleased by this development?”

The way that was said instantly made Hajime suspicious. And when he glanced over at his face, he noticed that Nagizuru looked way too pleased with things. Like he had a part in it.

“What did you do?” he demanded, glaring at the entity.

Nagizuru grinned. “Why, I gave you humanity’s most desperate desire. Aren’t you lucky?”

“That doesn’t answer my question. What did you do to me?!” he practically yelled.

The SCP looked a bit startled at the volume, but answered still with a smile. “You no longer shall age! You are immortal like me! We shall live forever together now!”

Dead silence filled the room. No one knew quite what to say. Nagizuru had stopped Hajime’s body from aging? He would not grow older than his body currently was? For the rest of time?

A flurry of emotions rushed through Hajime’s mind. And all of them were negative. He stood up suddenly, breaking out of the SCP’s hug. Then he stormed out of the room, anger fueling his pace. He swiftly walked away from the room, no particular destination in mind. All he wanted was to be far away from the cause of this change.

But the creature teleported in front of him, looking confused. “Hajime? Are you alright?”

Hajime didn’t acknowledge him and just walked around him. The entity teleported again. “Hajime, talk to me. Did they do something during the tests to upset you? I can reprimand them if that’s the case.”

“I’m not mad at them,” Hajime spat out, walking around the SCP again.

But his gait was interrupted as Nagizuru hugged him from behind again. “Then what are you angry about, my dear?”

The human tried to break out of the hold, but found it too strong to do so. It made him more mad. “When…?”

Nagizuru tilted his head. “When? I don’t understand what you mean.”

Hajime sent him a full on glare, staring right into the red eyes. “When did I give consent to you changing my body like that?”

Nagizuru stiffened, clearly understanding now that the human’s ire was directed at him and him alone. “I… thought you would be overjoyed. Don’t all humans wish to live forever?”

The brunette tried again, this time successful in separating from the white haired man. He began marching away.

“Hajime? Please wait.”

Nagizuru appeared beside him, this time floating and matching his pace. Hajime only glanced at him and kept walking. “Do you have any intention of reversing this? To bring my body back to normal?”

Silence.

That was enough of an answer for him. “I see. Now leave me be. I need some time alone. And DON’T follow me.”

He turned a corner suddenly and walked down it. Nothing teleported in front of him. No one was beside him. And nothing was behind him. He didn’t look back. He couldn’t find it in him to care. He was only slightly comforted by the fact that now he had some time alone. That’s what he needed right now.

~~~~~~~~~~
It had been two days since Hajime discovered his body had ceased aging. Two days since he had last interacted with SCP-49878.
Needless to say, things were tense.
Word had spread about his new condition amongst the staff. Thankfully, they all knew better than to try and talk to him about it. They acted as though nothing was different. Something Hajime appreciated.
He had spent a lot of the past two days thinking very hard about what he had learned. He would live forever if nothing killed him. He would outlive all his family and friends outside of the facility. And because of this, he couldn’t really consider himself human anymore. And something about that terrified him. Especially because it had been done to him without his knowledge.
He felt as though he had been betrayed. He had trusted the SCP to not do anything to him. And things had been going so well. Aside from the occasional freaky occurrence, life had been going well with their unique relationship.
But it was different now. Would it ever be similar to how it was before? He didn’t know. What he did know was that he had to have a serious talk with Nagizuru. He just… didn’t know when he would have the opportunity.
But that opportunity came to him out of nowhere. In the form of a panicked doctor running up to him. “Hajime! You need to come quickly. SCP-49878 is exhibiting odd behavior that we believe is dangerous. Can you calm him down?”
Hajime looked down at the floor, sighed, and then nodded. “Where is he?”
“Up in the sky above the facility. He’s covered in shadows and his eyes are glowing. So we know he’s staring down at the facility.”
“Of course he is,” Hajime muttered. Though he supposed the dramatic actions weren’t totally unexpected. After all, Hajime had been refusing physical contact with him. Even going as far as sleeping on the couch instead of the bed. Not getting the closeness he wanted surely put the entity in a foul mood.
He followed the doctor, being led right to the entrance where several others were gathered. They parted ways for him, knowing he was the only one capable of stopping this monster from wreaking havoc. And so he exited the facility's doors, looking skyward.
Nagizuru was easy to spot. He was a dark cloud hovering in a sea of blue sky. And the small crackles of electricity that he was releasing gave his location away. The only thing visible in the dark abyss was the twin red eyes, both of which had locked onto the brunette.
Hajime stared for a moment before speaking. “Nagizuru. We need to talk. Now. Take us somewhere private.”
Part of him worried that making these demands would get him killed. After all, he was yelling at a cosmic being capable of destroying the world. This was further tested as the dark shape teleported right in front of him suddenly and with no warning. It took everything he had to not react even as those around him freaked out. Those glowing red eyes stared at him, the sparks the only sound. After a tense minute, inky black tendrils shot out from the cloud, wrapping around his wrists and pulling him forward. He made contact with the creature’s body, which further enveloped him. Then the familiar dizzy sensation. Once it faded, he looked around to confirm that they were back in their home.
He pulled away, surprised when there was no resistance. But he didn’t let it show, pointing to the couch. “Sit. And return to a human body. Then we will talk.”
The shadows dispersed, leaving behind the form he knew best. The smile was still there, but clearly very strained. The man gracefully sat down on the couch, hands on his lap and looking expectantly at the other.
Well, it was time for the uncomfortable discussion. Hajime figured it was best to just get on with it. “You know why I’m mad, correct?”
A nod. But no words.
“And you are still certain that you won’t change my body back to being mortal.”
Another nod.
Hajime let a little emotion seep into his next question. “Why, Nagizuru? Why would you do this?”
“So that we may never part.”
A simple answer. Almost childish. And it was said with such certainty, like Hajime was a fool for thinking otherwise. Frankly, it ticked him off. “What do you mean? We are together almost all the time! You take up like 95% of my attention! Is that not enough?”
The hands on Nagizuru’s lap curled into fists. “That… was not what I meant.”
“Oh. So you meant that I would be able to spend eternity with you.” Hajime took a breath to try and calm himself. It didn’t work. “I am not okay with what you did to me. More than not okay. Do you realize what you did? You took away what makes me human! Without telling me!”
Nagizuru stood up, hair writhing to display his agitation. Then he spoke with an angry tone. “Being human means you are fragile. Weak. Vulnerable. Mortal. One bullet is all it would take to kill you. And I can’t allow that to happen again.”
That last sentence made everything grind to a halt in Hajime’s brain. All anger was gone, replaced by confusion. “Again? What… what do you mean by again?”
The emotions in Nagizuru changed just as fast as they did in Hajime. Now he looked… nervous. Fearful. Things Hajime had never seen the entity display.
“I… I had a vision of something. I don’t know if it was a nightmare or a prophetic message. Regardless of what it was, it led to my decision,” Nagizuru admitted, hugging himself tightly.
The brunette stepped forward, caressing the pale cheek with a hand. “What did you see?”
The SCP leaned into the touch, eyes closing. “You being killed in front of me. And there was nothing I could do to bring you back. All because I was negligent.”
“Is… that why you were so protective these last weeks? You were guarding me?”
He nodded. “I realized a few things from this vision. That you are fragile and can be taken away from me so easily should the circumstances be unfavorable. And what I would do if you did die.”
Hajime stared into the red eyes again. “What would you do?”
“Destroy those responsible. Then end myself.”
The declaration was said with complete confidence. That Nagizuru meant what he said. “You would…”
His unfinished question was answered. “You are the only thing I have found worthy in this universe. I see no reason to continue existing if you pass on. So I… took measures to ensure that would never occur. The first being your human aging. I didn’t mean to hide the fact. And I thought you would like it. It appears that I was wrong. You continue to astound me. I would have never predicted the events that occurred.” He glanced off to the side. “Though… I do wish it had been a different outcome.”
While Hajime was still not happy with his mortality being taken away, he felt that he understood why Nagizuru did what he did. It was a desperate attempt to keep his only companion with him. And considering he was the first to make an impact on the creature in his whole life, well, it painted a very lonely existence.
He sighed again. “Listen. You can’t just change my body without telling me. Next time you have worries or scary thoughts, just talk to me, okay? Also, ask me before you do anything to… change me. Even if it’s some serious medical condition you sense. I want to know and have a say in what happens.”
The red eyes widened, the smile growing. “You mean… you forgive me?”
Hajime removed his hand from the creature’s face and held up a finger. “For the record, I’m still mad at you. And I probably will be for a while.”
Nagizuru whined, grabbing onto the hand with both of his. “Hajimeeeee! Don’t leave me again! I’ll do all the chores and cooking! I’ll make all your favorite meals! We can watch whatever you want! Just let me be near you!”
Hajime rolled his eyes. “Who would have guessed that you were the dark cloud of destruction above the facility if they saw you right now?” But he fixed him with a serious look. “But you need to swear to me that you won’t do this kind of thing again. That you will talk to me before doing anything.”
Nagizuru looked back, also firm. “I swear upon the cosmos that I will inform you of any and all actions I may perform upon you from this moment going forward. Be it large or small.”
The brunette smiled. “Good. Now I’m sure you want to-”
His sentence cut off as the SCP hugged him tight. “Ahhh, I missed this so much. How did I survive without these?” The hug continued for a while, Nagizuru not wanting to let go. Though he did perk up when he thought of something. “Oh! Isn’t there a doctor employed by this foundation that’s functionally immortal and was once human? Maybe you should ask him about some things. What was his name? Dr. Br-”
“Uh, no. I’m not asking that guy anything,” Hajime interrupted fast. He had heard several stories about that person and had no intention of interacting ever if he could help it. “I’ll just figure things out myself. And I’m enlisting you to help me. As punishment for your actions. In addition to all the other things you promised.”
Nagizuru nuzzled into his hair. “I hear you loud and clear. Call upon my assistance whenever you require.” He then picked the man up, settling into the couch with him on his lap. “Now then! We shall commence our very overdue time together. You won’t refuse, will you?”
“You are the world’s neediest cosmic horror,” Hajime stated, but he still leaned in. He missed the comfort of touch and closeness, though he wouldn’t admit it.
He still was very unsure on how he felt about his new status. And he was sure he wouldn’t for a long time. But he wasn’t alone. He had someone who would be there to help him though it. And that thought was comforting.
More SCP au!!! You love it! I love it! We all love it! At least, that’s my hope!
But yeah, this one is fluffy. Very very fluffy. Hehehe.
Seriously though, go look up some of the flowers that are mentioned later. They are crazy!
There were many parts about living in one of the SCP Foundation’s facilities that were less than ideal, even dangerous at times. But the most dangerous event by miles was when there was a containment breach.
They didn’t happen very often. But when they did, it was a terrifying experience.
At least, that’s what Hajime imagined most felt. He, however, felt safe when this occurred. A benefit of being an apocalyptic monster’s sole companion.
The red lights began flashing, the sirens piercing as they screeched, warning all about the containment breach. Typically, SCP-49878 wouldn’t bat an eye at the occurrence. But thanks to that nightmare he had weeks ago, he was now very much on edge. He had teleported behind Hajime the second it began, hugging him tight to his chest and growling.
Hajime, understanding very well the fear he was feeling, leaned back into the embrace. “It’s okay, Nagizuru. I know you won’t let anything happen to me.”
His words did seem to relax the entity a bit, but not fully. “So long as we are in the facility, you are in danger.” Then he gasped, as if an idea had just came to mind. “But if that is indeed the case, then the answer is so simple.”
Hajime hummed, curious as to what the idea was. “And the solution being…?”
“To not be in the facility!”
Nagizuru took a small step back, separating them just enough for him to turn the human around. Once more, Hajime was hugged tightly to the entity’s chest, habitually closing his eyes as he guessed what was about to occur.
Sure enough, the familiar odd and dizzying sensations occured, indicating to him that they were teleporting. And when he reopened his eyes, he saw that they were no longer in their apartment-like living space.
No, they were somewhere much different. A small grassy field on a mountain. The sky was blue with small puffy clouds floating lazily by. Other mountain peaks were visible in the distance, piercing the sky. And absolutely no sign of civilization anywhere. It was an untouched paradise.
“Nagizuru… this is beautiful. Where are we?” Hajime asked with wonder in his voice. Nagizuru allowed him to separate as he took a few steps into the grass.
The entity’s smile looked more genuine as he replied. “This is a location I keep secluded. No human or destructive force is permitted access to this place. It is where I spent much of my time prior to meeting you. And now, I share its splendor with you.”
Hajime’s eyes widened, looking around with a new appreciation. “You’re sharing your special place with me?”
Nagizuru stepped closer to hold his hand. “Of course! You are my one and only. And you deserve only the best.”
Hajime’s cheeks flushed red, feeling a bit overwhelmed at the outright declaration of affection. “I… I’m not sure how to respond…”
The SCP grinned. “Just knowing you are at a loss for words is more than enough for me. Now then, please enjoy yourself! I’ll prepare something for us and I’m sure you will find me when it’s ready. Feel free to explore. I assure you it’s safe.”
The entity then disappeared right in front of his eyes. Leaving him alone on the mountain. But he didn’t fear, as he knew Nagizuru wouldn’t have done this if any danger was present. So he took a stroll, admiring the sights around him.
He walked alongside a small stream, the sound of trickling water present as he swept his gaze across the land. Magnificent trees that must have been centuries old. Small and delicate flowers peppering the grass with bright colors. And the distant mountain ranges that had been there for who knows how long.
Hajime understood why Nagizuru came here and protected it. It was the most beautiful place he had ever seen.
His walk lasted about 20 minutes, not a second unappreciated. He stepped around some large bushes obscuring his path to see the entity waiting for him. He was sitting on a red checkerboard cloth, a basket beside him and plates full of food already laid out. So this is what he had meant by preparing something.
“So out of curiosity, did you make this beforehand or did you conjure it into existence as soon as you disappeared?” Hajime asked with a smile, approaching and sitting down on the cloth.
Nagizuru grinned in return. “Does it matter? It tastes the same regardless of method.”
The human shrugged. “I suppose it doesn’t.” He accepted the glass of cold lemonade handed to him, taking a sip and delighting in the taste. “That hit the spot.”
“I am pleased to hear it. Have whatever you want, there is plenty,” Nagizuru told him, repositioning himself to sit next to Hajime. He laid his head onto the human’s shoulder, closing his red eyes and relaxing.
Hajime let him stay there while he ate for a few reasons. First, it didn’t impact his ability to eat and drink, so he didn’t see a reason for removal. But the secret, more prominent reason was that he found it… endearing. But he would never admit that out loud to the creature. He wouldn’t hear the end of it if it got out.
So Hajime finished, eating and drinking his fill of the delicious lunch that had been made for him. He stroked the white hair next to him when he was done. “Do you need anything? I didn’t see you eat.”
Nagizuru reopened his eyes, looking up into the hazel. “I do not require any sustenance at the moment. I take it you are done?” Seeing the human’s nod, he snapped his fingers and the cloth and supplies vanished. “Now we can walk together. There’s plenty of time, as I don’t believe the containment breach shall be finished for a couple more hours,” Nagizuru informed him as he lifted his head and stood up.
“Okay, that’s fine with me,” Hajime replied, grabbing the pale hand and allowing it to pull him to his feet. The two stood side by side, admiring the view in front of them. “I’ve never been to a mountain range before. I didn’t realize how much could grow at such high altitudes. There were some nice flowers back near the water. Have you seen them yet?”
Nagizuru tilted his head. “Flowers? Like these?” He waved his hand and a patch of multiple flowers grew at their feet. He pointed to each one. “Those purple ones are Snowbells. The orange are Fire Lillies. Yellow are Rhaetin Poppies. And the pink are Pink Cinquefoil.”
Hajime looked at the entity in amazement. “You can make flowers grow?”
The words sparked a hint of inspiration in the red eyes. The grin grew wider. “Oh, I can. I know much about this world’s flora. So, my dear Hajime, would you like to see some interesting specimens this planet has to offer?”
He spread his pale arms wide, beckoning the wildlife to answer his call. An explosion of color occured around them, the grass hidden beneath the carpet of flowers. There were so many, of all colors, shapes, and sizes.
Hajime found himself spinning around multiple times, trying to take it all in. “There’s… so many! How? Can some of these species even grow on mountains?”
Nagizuru laughed. “Several of these species would normally not survive in this environment. But that’s not a problem for me. They shall grow and remain here, for our viewing pleasure.” He grabbed Hajime’s hand, tugging him over. “Now, let me show you some of my personal favorites.”
And they were certainly some bizarre ones. There was a purple flower with what looked like twisted whiskers around a yellow center. A Passion Flower. There was also a small white flower that was shaped like a sea star, with white wispy bits sprouting from the five petals. A Snake Gourd Flower. And a very strange looking dark flower that looked almost like some kind of alien insect. A Black Bat Flower.
And there were several others that Nagizuru introduced to him, reciting their names and place of origin as they went along. It was a fascinating experience, Hajime learning so much. And he could tell that the SCP was enjoying this as well, getting to share his knowledge with another who wanted to listen.
After some time, the two wished to give Hajime’s legs some rest. So they sat down among the Forever Susan Asiatic Lilies, staring into the rainbow field around them. This time, Hajime leaned his head on the other’s shoulder. “This was amazing. I feel so incredibly lucky to have been able to witness this.”
Nagizuru stroked his short brown hair. “If any individual is lucky, it is me. Having all the knowledge and power in the world but no one to share it with is lonesome.”
Hajime sighed, the touches soothing. “There are some humans that would desire to horde all that for themselves and lock it away. Not to be seen by any eyes other than theirs.”
“Greedy and selfish. And foolish, too,” Nagizuru stated. “If only they knew how wonderful it feels to be able to show off your abilities and wealth of knowledge.”
Hajime snorted. “Oh, I know you love showing off. Like a peacock displaying his feathers to impress potential mates.”
The SCP laughed. “Whether or not that’s my intention, I’ll leave that up to you to figure out. For now, rest. We may return here any time you wish.”
Hajime felt his eyes begin drooping. He wasn’t sure if the tiredness was influenced by Nagizuru’s powers or by his own exertion, but he didn’t care too much. He breathed in the sweet scents surrounding him, relaxing into a peaceful daytime nap.
