I wasn't prepared for what I just scrolled upon in one of my cat tags I followed. Due to its graphic content, I am choosing my words carefully, and I will not say in detail what it was. Let's just say,I truly wish it was never posted. It's so horrifying that I can't bring myself to go back to it. Its under Pets Tag that I happen to come upon. It's just horrifying, and I just might have to end this Tumblr trial. This was just too much!
All I wanted was to join a fun, loving cat blog, but now, I think I am done.

PUNISH THE GUILTY!! 🙏
I don't know who will read this, but this needs to be talked about! I find it absolutely disgusting and I am in disbelief! The punishments for rapists are imprisonment of less than 30 years (though I don't think even 30 years is enough) in some COUNTRIES! Plural! And some of them are developed, some developing! In countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Afghanistan it is a death penalty for the accused! Which I thought was the case for every country, but now I see I was naive, stupid, blind! And I am absolutely guilty to think that I only researched about this because I saw a movie which mentions this. And I am a girl myself (though never sexually abused) heard comments that made me feel disgusted with myself, that made my skin crawl. I endured it, cried over it. Thought that it would go away after I grow up. And hearing stories from girls, reading articles on this, and watching a movie addressing this fact made me open my eyes! I watched many YT shorts of grown women sharing their sufferings, and to see many countries only punishing those disgusting creatures with not even life imprisonment breaks my heart and scares me to not go out of my house. Even my own country punishes those creatures with less than 10 years of imprisonment and would extend based on the case! And I'm not saying this happens only to girls. I've heard stories where a boy too suffers this. Is that what we evolved into? Is this the future where the kids will grow up to? Am I to teach my kids to be careful? Do people believe that if a creature like that goes to jail for 5 or so years it will change? I'm sorry if I triggered anyone with this but I just wanted to get this off my chest. Oh I'm sorry, I am a girl aren't I? I shouldn't say sentences that will involve my body parts or else I'm hinting at the boys for something? Yet another reason the society sometimes disgusts me. Even though I know people talked about this, saying we need to change. I have seen people's reaction to it. This society has a long way to go before realizing that even a monster would find the rapist guilty rather than commenting on the girl's clothes or that the boy probably enjoyed it. And yet they wonder why we would choose to be with a bear in the forest rather than a stranger.
