Sensory Icks - Tumblr Posts
![A collection of autism creatures with different sensory issues. Some of the “creature discomforts” include “icky light”, “bad noise”, “restless”, and “icky shirt”. They all have a different disgusted facial expression.](https://64.media.tumblr.com/227fe0aa36257c66776a9f4b08d79eaf/ca869d339c4c0f55-c4/s500x750/72e2fb17a9dae039c4889d7113b49b268c0bbc59.png)
These were made to be reaction images, but it was taking too long to format them properly, so I figure I’ll just post them like this and post them again if I ever do get them formatted.
I am… quite closely acquainted with some of these.

Autism is a superpower, right? I am super good at feeling uncomfortable :|

I had to format all the pictures on my last post like this so I could send them to my phone, so behold: me at the public pool
Wearing gloves has been such a game changer for me, I never would have guessed.
We had to wear gloves at the factory I worked in, for security reasons - and I found out that I really liked it. Instead of touching 100 different textures in a single day you only come in contact with one - your gloves !
In retail, it's the same thing- gloves aren't mandatory at all, but I wear them all day just because it feels better to not feel anything. And it protects my fingers from the cold, splinters, or expired food, which is a neat bonus.
Now considering buying some stylish gloves to wear all day, at home. When cleaning, or even cooking (dry wooden spoons are sensory hell and can go die in a fire), idk I just feel like I unlocked a cheat code.
I understand some people might hate the feeling of fabric/security gloves but it's been a nice experience for me, and I encourage you to try it some time :D
